“Generally good, reasonable prices, fairly quick standard delivery. On the odd occasion some parts that were supposed to be in stock according to the web site were not delivered and arrived some time later on "back order" but this probably happens with other suppliers too. The range does not really cover specialist radio frequency parts but is good for educational items. Overall I am satisfied with Rapid and will continue to use their service.”

“Some 'popular' items out-of-stock with long lead times, so needed to order from another supplier. Also ordered various in-stock identical items from same alternative supplier solely because of considerably better prices. Your delivery came first, very prompt and complete as ordered, as usual. There's came following day, again complete as ordered.”

“My only problem was as follows. I am a new first time customer and the on line ordering system failed to allow me to have goods delivered to my works address when my card was held under my own private address. The system picked up my works address but changed the postcode to my home address. This was soon sorted out very effectively with a follow up phone call. The goods arrived approximate 4 working days later.”

“Delivery is always super fast. However it feels like prices are creeping up in comparison to what I can get on ebay, for example. For some things I always go to Rapid for fast delivery, good product description (a good technical spec for most things) and quality. For other things where its not easy to get bad parts, eg LED's, Rapid doesn't compete with ebay prices.”

“Items received very quickly (though still waiting for an item to be sourced from somewhere in Europe. Packaging could have been optimised. Most component would have fitted into a large jiffy bag, but because I ordered a tube of IC sockets the tube was rather long and therefore all items put into a very large box. I wound't have minded if the tube had been halved or split into 3.”

“Advertising was misleading - I only discovered too late that you were going to add VAT to the advertised price. If you insist on doing it this way, there needs to be a warning early on in the process. But thanks - the soldering iron came sooner than I expected & works OK!”

“Since the takeover by Conrad service prices have increased. There are also delays when the goods come from the European warehouse. Prices were much cheaper than RS a few years ago for semiconductors, but now they are comparable. Some of the own brands are very good value. Solder and wire prices were ratcheted up when commodity prices increased, but have not come down. This is typical European business practice and I now buy these items from Mouser in the US. I still recommend Rapid in my Audio Out column in EPE magazine and to my university students. As a component distributor Farnell is finished. Their website always returns "no results" even for items I know they stock.”
