It was great to be able to use the voucher straightaway and receive a discount

The whole voucher thing is a blooming con. I shudder to think how much money you make from unredeemed vouchers. We have begged friends and families NEVER to bother giving us these infernal vouchers. The process to redeem a voucher is ridiculous and interminable. Eventually you get some other bunch of numbers and then have to contact your venue of choice directly and then they only do red letter days in November . Bloody November, who the hell wants a beach getaway in bloody November . Total flipping con

Awful. No customer support, no way to ask a question. No live chat on their website, just a bot with selections that will never give you a live person to ask a question. Will never use them again.

Get a better deal direct instead of using the voucher, also the voucher is limited depending on where you are. I would of preferred the cash instead. This is just too much hassle and can be stressful.

Two Night Breaks for £99 sometimes with discount sounds like an attractive offer but when it comes to finding accommodation ends there. Either not available in the area wanted or not available in the required time. Also seems to be very few that include breakfast. It also seems that the popular accommodations have a supplement

I bought a voucher on 25 March but couldn't book the trip because the phone number was turned off. I contacted red letter days and received an email the following day with an alternative number to try but after all the problems I'd had I requested a refund instead. I have since had two requests for reviews but no response to my request for a refund. Really not what I would expect. I hope I don't have to go to the trouble of doing a charge back on my credit card

I was able to purchase an experience for two which was slightly cheaper than purchasing the same experience from the provider directly.

Great gift and great service. Quick delivery. The only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of magnet on the gift box so it just flaps about. Don’t know if this is a new design or if I get a faulty box?

We asked for a refund. I purchased several vouchers for my husband. He spent hours trying to book them, couldn't get dates, was told he would have to pay pay extra for the Top Gear experience, most of the companies just didn't respond when trying to book. Shame as it was my husbands 50th Birthday gift to enjoy over the coming year.

I received a Red Letter gift for Christmas and was excited to book my theatre tickets until I realised there were extra costs involved £40.50 or £337.00 depending on which seats I wanted. This totally ruined the gift.

Recently ordered this for my partners 40th. Came next day delivery which was selected and in a nice little gift box. However, I had put for a little message to be printed inside which wasn’t printed anywhere which was a little disappointing. I’m sure he will have a great day when he gets round to using it tho.

I have tried to book a “Gourmet Getaway” using the Red Letter Day Gourmet Getaways book but it is both a farce and a waste of time. The first I tried the Whoop Hall Inn (page 104 in the book) it does not come up at all on the website The second the Higher Trapp Hotel (Page 101 in the book) is asking for a surcharge of £25 and even then, for continental breakfast only when it is available at the voucher rate in the book with “Full English Breakfast” The third The Royal Oak (page 91 in the book) when I tried to book on line it said they only took phone reservations, so I telephoned and was told that I had to email the owner Cass. I did so but got no reply, so I telephoned the next day and spoke to Cass who informed me that she had been too busy to deal with emails, but that she would respond later that day. She did not. Frankly in an age where virtually any hotel or restaurant can be booked on line immediately and without difficulty, what is the point of buying a voucher that offers (i) hotels that do not exist (ii) hotels that will not honour their offer (iii) hotels that cannot be bothered to take a booking? I tried to take this up with Red Letter Day Customer Service and they sent me a automated reply saying they were too busy and needed ten days to respond. Is that service?

Disappointed .com This may not be directly due to Red Letter days, but the Spa Day, through Mcdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf & Spa, was severlly disappointing. 55 min massage, half "thermal suite" unavailable, relaxation room (room with no lights a few candles), a small towel, robe that didn't fit, followed by "cream tea", 2 small coffee or tea, smallest scone i have ever encountered (size of golf ball) & a glass of fizzy plonk! All this for 2 people cost £169, massively over priced and underwhelming.
