Great gift and great service. Quick delivery. The only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of magnet on the gift box so it just flaps about. Don’t know if this is a new design or if I get a faulty box?

We asked for a refund. I purchased several vouchers for my husband. He spent hours trying to book them, couldn't get dates, was told he would have to pay pay extra for the Top Gear experience, most of the companies just didn't respond when trying to book. Shame as it was my husbands 50th Birthday gift to enjoy over the coming year.

I received a Red Letter gift for Christmas and was excited to book my theatre tickets until I realised there were extra costs involved £40.50 or £337.00 depending on which seats I wanted. This totally ruined the gift.

Recently ordered this for my partners 40th. Came next day delivery which was selected and in a nice little gift box. However, I had put for a little message to be printed inside which wasn’t printed anywhere which was a little disappointing. I’m sure he will have a great day when he gets round to using it tho.

I have tried to book a “Gourmet Getaway” using the Red Letter Day Gourmet Getaways book but it is both a farce and a waste of time. The first I tried the Whoop Hall Inn (page 104 in the book) it does not come up at all on the website The second the Higher Trapp Hotel (Page 101 in the book) is asking for a surcharge of £25 and even then, for continental breakfast only when it is available at the voucher rate in the book with “Full English Breakfast” The third The Royal Oak (page 91 in the book) when I tried to book on line it said they only took phone reservations, so I telephoned and was told that I had to email the owner Cass. I did so but got no reply, so I telephoned the next day and spoke to Cass who informed me that she had been too busy to deal with emails, but that she would respond later that day. She did not. Frankly in an age where virtually any hotel or restaurant can be booked on line immediately and without difficulty, what is the point of buying a voucher that offers (i) hotels that do not exist (ii) hotels that will not honour their offer (iii) hotels that cannot be bothered to take a booking? I tried to take this up with Red Letter Day Customer Service and they sent me a automated reply saying they were too busy and needed ten days to respond. Is that service?

Disappointed .com This may not be directly due to Red Letter days, but the Spa Day, through Mcdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf & Spa, was severlly disappointing. 55 min massage, half "thermal suite" unavailable, relaxation room (room with no lights a few candles), a small towel, robe that didn't fit, followed by "cream tea", 2 small coffee or tea, smallest scone i have ever encountered (size of golf ball) & a glass of fizzy plonk! All this for 2 people cost £169, massively over priced and underwhelming.

I got a good deal and was easy to book however cost me 105 with all the extras which I could not do without insurance, cancellation photo etc. Is a costly day out!

Was easy to navigate & choose a couple of nights away in Edinburgh as an anniversary gift 4 friends. However, it did say I would b able 2 choose a tariff (b & b , lunch/dinner option) after payment which I didn’t see at all. I’m hoping my friends will possibly c this when redeeming their voucher but I’m assuming they may have 2 pay 4 any extras which is not what I wanted.

I chose RLD as a means to an end. Never knowing what to get my eldest son for his birthday. By getting a gift card solved that problem for me. Now he should have an exceptional opportunity to get himself something special. Because of his work, I've yet to see him to pass it on. Delivery by Royal mail was excellent, 1st class.

We bought a Red Letter Day gift for our Daughter and her Husband, we also bought one for our Grandson and his Partner and another for our Granddaughter and her Partner all as Christmas presents. Three Red Letter Day’s in total. Our Daughter used hers recently and later told us that while the Hotel was very nice they had to pay an extra £100 as NOTHING was available for the value of the “ Gift” Her complaint was brushed off as out of RLD control. My contact with RLD, seeking reassurance that our Grandchildren would not be similarly badly treated was similarly brushed off. Be aware that the Red Letter Day offer is NOT as the Headline, it may not be the gift that you anticipated and may incur additional cost for your loved one!

Ordering was easy and delivery of package was delivered quickly. The packaging was good and the way the gift was packaged led you into what the gift was. I am sure that when I present the gift it will be a surprise for them
