Purchased the Unlimited Sushi dining experience for two. Drinks not included in the package, only 3 options from the menu is within the package, all other options come with additional charges. On top of that, service charge automatically added to the bill too. So, altogether you pay more than without the voucher....Staff was helpful, but unfortunately we were seated next to a couple who were extremely loud, making the whole experience awful. We couldn't hear each other. Sushi was ok. Positive, that we could take away the few sushi rolls we didn't finish.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Too long a story to post on here but this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Going through a 7 month wrangle with them. Had to get outside support , from the company they partner with (even they had no success, so it shows how poor a company they are!) - even though they were the ones who withdrew the 'experience' AND if youre thinking to avoid this company and use BUYAGIFT - don't- they are the SAME COMPANY. I never knew which one would be fobbing me off next! They said they refunded me various times and various amounts - my bank say not. I've asked for proof of deposit twice, they've never replied to those emails. They then said they extended my voucher. Then they said my voucher had expired so couldn't be refunded. They also said they've given me a credit note, which I have not seen. They have now ghosted me and there is no contact number. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A COMPANY (OR 2!)

I received two red letter day vouchers for Christmas, unable to book either. First they just sent a postal address of a supplier! Website could not cope with registering a second voucher, probably "once bitten twice shy". Red Letter Days just do not care, they have your giftors money, happy days for them if you do not redeem the voucher.

The website is terrible. When you click an experience to view more details, then return to the list, you don't go back to where you were originally, so you have to go through the list again. The filter options are poor. The variety of choice is terrible. Hoping to stay and do something in Brighton, but have to pay £100s more for what looks like outdated hotels. Found a spa experience, but when I looked on the company's website, they are permanently closed, and there are no other options for a spa or treatment. Food choices are all chains or a bottomless brunch. I have had this voucher for a year and a half, keep looking for something decent to come up anywhere, but I have no luck. At this rate, the voucher will expire. They expect this, and Red Letter Days make most of their revenue from people forgetting or not using.

The customer service is appalling. Like others on here I would award less than 1 star if i could. I tried to book my spa experience 2 months ago, Site said "sorry, can't connect to spa diary at the moment - try again later" tried several times over a week and same message. A direct call to the spa established that they had parted company with Red Letter Days a year preciously! Raised the issue with customer services and have had nothing but a few less-than-useless responses and delaying tactics. I can't even change the booking on line to another option - it just goes no-where. It seems to me they just hope you will give up and go away. Do not use this company. If anything goes wrong you will be ignored by customer services and you will lose your sanity in the process. Truly awful

Only 1 star as it does not seem possible to give a LOWER rating!!! Received a voucher for £40. The dedicated gift just was not available. Tried several times to use the voucher and looked for similar alternatives but was sent in a ‘round Robin’ leading nowhere at all. I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to claim or use the voucher. The telephone number is defunct and the email just as useless. No one there to assist or be accountable. It is a shockingly bad organisation. Is this just a ‘legal scam’???? I would recommend using trusted organisations for gifts that actually exist such as M&S. Going to report my experience to Which? Consumer services.

I was gifted a voucher for a Birthday present and was initially delighted with the present. I chose to buy 2 tickets for the ABBA Voyage show in London. I expected to make up the difference in ticket price as the chosen seats were more expensive - no problem. What I didn't expect was to pay an extra £50 on top (compared with buying the same tickets directly from the venue. I complained at length to RLD and initially got a promising response with a view to reimbursement, however all went quiet, until just before Christmas, and then I got an email stating their policy and there would be no money back. (I suspect this response was AI generated) I think from a gifting point of view this service is a good idea, but redemption of vouchers isn't straight forward and not value for money. I feel that I've been scammed which is bad because this has left a bitter taste about something we should be going to enjoy but unfortunately the forthcoming concert experience will have this unpleasant feeling associated with it. I do not recommend this service for anything - better to go direct to suppliers or shop carefully for direct offers. This has been a very disappointing experience.

Don't get the email voucher. Mine would not download and I could not get any help. They just kept resending an email that I could not use. The only phone number is a premium rate number - unacceptable in this day and age They say it will be a 5 min wait to talk to a customer advisor but I tried several times and after nearly an hour gave up waiting.

One star as there was no option for zero stars. We are extremely disappointed with red letter days. As the other disappointed customer below expressed, we are finding customer service extremely unhelpful. A failed transaction on their side has now led to them disputing the value of the voucher provided by the bank and are now trying to offer only half the value of the voucher. The prices of the hotels are cheaper directly than even using red letter days. The more I look into them the more I find threads saying to 'avoid them, they're a scam'. That is now sadly my experience too, despite being a loyal red letter days customer over the years. I'm extremely disappointed at how unhelpful customer services have been and this has now meant I have no birthday weekend away as a result. We will never use them again if this doesn't get resolved. Similar to the email below I feel passionately about spreading the word, unless my issue is resolved, to avoid others having the same negative experience. The fact the whole transaction went through our end and they are backtracking is an unacceptable way to treat loyal customers.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Expired Voucher and Customer Service Experience Dear Red Letter Days, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a voucher I purchased last Christmas for a hotel stay for my wife and myself. We have stayed at this particular hotel several times over the past ten years. I chose to purchase the voucher through Red Letter Days, as the presentation box was more appealing than simply gifting a hotel receiptin a Christmas card. I was unaware that the voucher had an expiration date. Upon attempting to redeem the voucher, I discovered it had expired. I subsequently found the same deal available, albeit at a slightly higher price, and was willing to pay the additional £40.00. However, I was informed that this was not possible, despite Red Letter Days already holding my initial payment. Customer service has advised that there is nothing they can do to resolve this issue. I find this unacceptable. Furthermore, I have discovered that contacting the hotels directly often results in a cheaper rate than that offered through Red Letter Days. My research indicates that this is due to the fees charged by Red Letter Days. I have also found numerous similar complaints on other websites and negative experiences shared on Twitter. Save your money and avoid at all costs. I lll be sharing my experience on other platforms to ensure this doent happen to other people!

Customer service is abysmal. No phone number means everything must be done through their Live Chat, after dealing with a useless AI powered assistant. This service is terrible, conversations being left unresolved after waiting for an hour (after being told the estimated wait was 11 minutes). We want to move the date of our hotel booking by one day, due to a work conflict. Despite the fact that the hotel are willing to accommodate the change, Red Letter Days are refusing to move the booking. All email communications from them acknowledge that this must be "incredibly disappointing" so they clearly realise that there is an issue here, but they obtusely refuse to make any effort to avoid disappointment.

I have had a nightmare trying to use a voucher given by friends. Despite having a voucher and PIN number I was unable to book online. Eventually found a chat line and emailed full details to them. They now say they are unable to find details and suggest I contact Amazon who friend bought voucher through.
