i love it. but i had to remove the smoke reflector, above the baffles. it was spewing smoke through the front door. once removed the stove didn't spew smoke anymore.

Firstly, what I don't love: 1. Little bit, but normal noises from fan and from unit itself as thermostat turns it on and off to maintain set temperature. Fan quieter than one in my previous wood burning stove. 2. Flames not as pretty and variable as previous wood stove. 3. Gas prices supposed to jump this winter. What I do love: 1. That it does maintain a constant temperature per thermostat, so I don't go from too cold to too hot. And can be changed with the handy remote ad lib. 2. Pretty enough. 3. I love not having wood delivered, stacked, stored and brought in constantly during the cold. Wanted convenience. What I might spend on gas I'm saving on convenience. Well worth it!

I’m very surprised to read some of the negative reviews because my 1st Regency F3500 was in use for some 18 years, no problems at all. Then last summer, while cleaning it [I’m very technical when it comes to cleaning and take the stove apart inside] I noticed a crack. I called my dealership to see if they could send someone to weld it. They asked me to send some pics of the crack. I did so and about a week later they called me to say they opened a claim for me and that Regency was going to replace the stove under my lifetime warranty. They came and installed the new F5100, all I had to pay was the installation. What a hassle free experience… In my experience Regency is the best and I wouldn’t ever go with any other. Two big thumbs up!!! Pictured is the new stove being enjoyed by all including our pets.

My fireplace is 2 years old and motherboard already gone! What happened to the good old days? All my previous older models last years. No no warranty either!!!

We love our fireplace. It is easy to use, has so far been reliable, and our dogs go wait by it for me to turn it on for them every morning. A huge living room upgrade.

I'm sure I would love it if I could get a flame. Unfortunately, Regency's customer service is terrible at best, when not downright insulting, as others have already mentioned. I bought the unit from one of their recommended retailers in the US, had it installed by their recommended contractors, and the flame is pathetic. A warm glow is the best I can get. As everyone else with an issue has discovered, Regency doesn't repair its mistakes. Save your money and buy a better cheaper unit elsewhere. Or at least use it to support a better business.

I have had a nightmarish, one-year long dispute with Regency and Berkeley Heat, the retailer, still on-going...although after going back on their exchange offer, they now consider the case closed. I purchased a Regency gas fireplace from Berkeley Heat Tubmakers on 3/04/20, which was only installed on October 30th, due to the pandemic. I based my choice on a model I had seen in their showroom, which I was told, could be customized according to my preferences. In short, I ordered one model, and a different one was delivered and installed! Initially, I thought my unit was defective, or that the flame needed to be adjusted, as there were mostly red embers. I was repeatedly told my unit was working according to specifications. As I found out 3 months into the dispute, we were talking about 2 different models, which Berkeley Heat was obviously aware of, but they cynically kept up the pretense. At that point, the manager revealed that I had not seen this unit, because it had not been in the showroom! They had switched the unit, under the pretext that I had chosen a faceplate that was not available for the unit I had chosen. However, this was a minor detail that I would have readily given up on, in favor of the model I had chosen. But most importantly, they never disclosed that I would be getting a different model! I never even received a quote for that model. After I received the initial quote on the model I had chosen, the following email was the invoice, which carried the correct number of the model they dug up from their warehouse for me, but I knew nothing about the model numbers, I had clearly pointed to the model I wanted, which showed rich, yellow flames. I was defrauded! Eventually, Regency offered to exchange the model that had been dumped on me (an older model, according to the installer), for the model I had chosen in the first place, but entirely at my expense. I had already paid $6,150 to have this one installed, in addition to the $5,200 for the unit itself. The new unit (the one I had originally ordered), would be installed at an additional cost of $1000. After much haggling, it was clear that I would have to pay for installation, and an Exchange Agreement was issued by the company. According to my lawyer, it was poorly crafted and rife with inconsistencies, so he revised it. Regency deemed the new, signed, Exchange Agreement unacceptable (they always insisted that this was a case of buyer’s remorse), and finally rescinded their offer to replace my current one, had not held the proposed unit for the “Exchange”, which clearly demonstrates that they had never intended to honor their offer. It had all been a bluff! To add insult to injury, I ended up returning the faceplate (worth several hundred dollars), and was denied reimbursement! Besides the dismissive and arrogant (bordering on insulting) customer service I received from Berkeley Heat and Regency, blatant dishonesty is at the root of the problem. Incidentally, I am told by other fireplace retailers that Regency products are very underwhelming.

Regency did not honor warranty many problems. Tried to work something with Regency. I wound up sending to junkyard. Been very happy with Regency since making that decision.

Bought a Regency fireplace on December 2020. Série San Francisco . After 3 weeks I noticed the glasses were becoming yellow. Call for service, the came and said that the gaz valve was broken and needed to be replace. They were suppose to fix in the next couple of weeks. Since then they postpone the delevry of the new part, from week to week and then month to month. Just last week they told me again that now the valve was in the mail and coming from Vancouver , yesterday I got a phone call to tell me that the valve was still in the mail and was coming. I live on Canada the valve should have arrived maximum 5 days later. So do not throw you money in this kind of fire

It's very easy to turn on/off and to regulate the heat. We really like the remote thermostat. And the logs and facing are beautiful.

I absolutely love it. I have heated my homes with a wood stove for 45 years. The propane heats just as well and their is no mess.

Like the Convenience, however we had a burner problem with ours which was shortly after purchase. Kudos to Granny's at Duncan who promptly repaired.
