Horrible customer service. Bought a cymbal 4 hours away from me. Took 13 days to get to me it was too late it was present. I refused the order and now 15 days later still no refund. I will never use Reverb again. Warning to the buyers!! Gonna be contacting Better Business Bureau to file a complaint on them.

I bought an instrument on reverb last year with no problem. Selling is a different story. I sold my instrument without providing my bank account - I don't want my bank account information floating around and I was naively thinking I could ask for a check. Well, no. So I opened a separate bank account after the item sold and provided that account info. No payment. First they implied they had paid some other account, like I had given them the wrong account number. Then they implied that I had already been paid and was scamming them to get paid twice. Then they put the $ back in the reverb payment account, but still they have not been able to transfer the payment. The instrument was sold over a month ago. Reverb's customer service is via email only, and customer service reps apparently can only communicate with the company via email, so every response requires another "1-2 business days" turnaround. Mostly the customer service messages just thank me for my patience, so that's really nice. I will never use them again.

Twice I've tried to buy from reverb. Both times they charged my card and then cancelled my order, only to have to wait for my money back. I will never try to do any business with these people again. What's the sense.

I bought a guitar through reverb andTulsa guitar co. It was listed as excellent no defects never been owned. The guitar was defective the nut was not cut for the g string could not tune it. It took a while to figure that out. Took it to local guitar shop to have the nut cut and a basic set up ( which should have been done before it was even shipped. Found out the neck was manufactured wrong contacted reverb and Tulsa guitar co both used the excuse too much time had passed to give me a refund. It had only been 30 days from when i received it. Epiphone would not warranty because it was not bought from a Gibson dealer. So now I'm out all the money and stuck with a bad guitar!!!!

I attempted to buy a speaker. The transaction went through and $408 was debited from my account. 2 days later, still no communication from the seller so I messaged them about when they were going to ship it. It was only then that they told me that it had already been sold. I told them to refund my money immediately and politely asked why it took so long to tell me this. I checked later and my account was suspended. I did NOTHING to warrant it -- nothing that violated any of the terms. This was fraud. Pure and simple.

Reverb charges many fees, as well as VAT on shipping costs without any previous warning. They do not make any distinction between the revenue you make from selling an item and the shipping costs you have to recoup after the item is shipped, which are not part of the revenue. So they basically charge you VAT on money you do not make. In my opinion this is theft.

Crooks! Money grabbers. I have sold items and they repeatedly have been keeping my money for a month, giving no explanation as to why. Speaking with customer service is impossible, plus they ask you to do things which do not solve the issue. Do not use REVERB.

Tried calling but no human to talk to. Very poor customer service. Reverb is just a bulletin board where private music stores advertise their merchandise. No help at all..

I let a seller know his item was priced almost triple than other sellers,he responded by threatening me repeatedly. I reported this to reverb and yesterday they banned my account. I had 100% review score. I imagine they banned me and not the seller because they make money off him and not me. No explanation given. No confirmation they addressed the other persons threats to wards me ,they only banned me for reporting it

I was against Reverb in the beginning. The only true way to buy a guitar is to pick it up and play it. But, I dove in and gave it a try about 5 years ago. For the little things, it seems OK. But for actual guitars, or more than likely anything where a signature is required, you can not redirect the package to an authorized drop off point, or ask for it to be held at the facility for pickup. Someone has to be at the address to sign for it. They will not accept the signature on the note they leave when they miss you. So, I have to stay home when they plan to deliver, meaning I have to take time off from work to get my package, which means, it technically cost way more than I actually paid for it. I first called UPS, cuz they said the shipper made that determination, then I communicated with the seller, who had no clue what I was talking about. Finally I talked to Reverb and they confirmed it. Do better Reverb. Unfortunately, buying guitars off of Reverb is really the only way to get a different crop of guitars into local areas. Northeast USA is inundated with Gibson, Fender, Jackson, and PRS. Dean, Kramer, Ovation, Hamer, BC Rich...not so much.

I have been a Reverb member for more than a decade. Being a Chicago native, I frequently shopped at Chicago Music Exchange, the creators of Reverb.com. My experience with the staff has always been positive. I felt that they were fair and honest, which is a rarity nowadays. Well, now that another entity has acquired Reverb.com, I have seen dramatic increases in their fees and an unfair bias toward buyers when disputes arise. As a seller of high-end gear, I no longer feel safe or protected if a buyer makes bogus claims about items received. Reverb.com ALWAYS sides with the buyer, even if the buyers' claims are unsubstantiated. For this reason, I will only use Reverb.com for inexpensive (

Reverb, has become a crooked money grabbing site these days. Example… bumping on your item is automatically applied earning Reverb 160€ on my guitar sale, I never knowingly opted to select bumping of the sale. This is a huge deception by Reverb. Secondly they insist in paying me in Euros despite the fact that all my bank transactions are in £, and based in a UK bank. They pay me innEuros based on the fact that I live in Spain due to health reasons. But Inam UK citizen and operate UK £ bank account. Thirdly they apply Spanish VAT to all fees, but I am in Canary Islands location, which is outside of Spain and UE, and has it’s own autonomous Tax an IGIC system in place of EU VAT. I have written complaint on many occasions with no refunds given back. Caviat Emptor regards to Reverb, shoddy, dodgy bunch of crooks. Ensure you un bump all item you list and foil this scam they hide from sellers.

Purchased a guitar described as 'excellent condition' but when it arrived neck cracked, no electrics, paintwork a total mess. The photos used in the advert were of a different guitar. Reverb not interested. Out of pocket, reverb is a scam, avoid.

Let's say I NEVER leave bad reviews for companies I like but this will be my first exception. I write this on September 6. On September 4th I added tracking information for an item I sold. In the website there's a disclaimer saying that it takes "Up to 2 business days" to get paid for a sold item on Reverb.com after submitting tracking information, when really after spending an entire morning/afternoon trying to get help from customer support you learn that it is not really 2 days but give or take almost 5 BANK BUSINESS days... and the payment hasn't been released to the bank... Today it is Friday and of course I will have to wait until monday for the payment.... even though the item has already been delivered and it is within the supposed window to have the payment release to my bank. When I tried to contact support to see if they could process my payment or find some type solution, I basically had 2 agents end the chat before they decided to consult with their accounting department or do something about it, basically leaving me in the dark. I am leaving this review in case you're trying to do serious business and believe in the timelines that they provide without having to read a separate legal dislaimer. Found in some dense support forum no one will read except when you run into trouble. I will try to contact support upper management at Reverb to have them amend that disclaimer or add additional information for us users who are calculating timelines. When you have a transaction that's thousands of dollars deep held hostage, it is not a nice experience for any customer.

I stayed at the Reverb hotel these past two days. It was wonderful and really modern. The bar is fun, and Lyss is just amazing. Excellent customer service is kind of hard to find these days so this was refreshing! Ask for her. She will take care of you and make your stay memorable. I will be back.

In addition to the regular seller's fee, Reverb charges a "payment processing" fee. If you are the seller, and receiving money for the sale, you would assume this 3.19% fee applies to the payment you are going to receive. Nope, not at all. It applied to the buyers total fee, including the item they purchased from you, the state taxes on it and shipping fees they pay. YES. I know, its hard to believe, isn't it? So why am I paying a fee for the buyers taxes and shipping again?? Rip off.
