You'll sell something and someone will come back at you saying something is wrong with the item, when nothing is, and Reverb will almost always side with them. Worst experience selling something online I've ever had going through them.

The site is been infiltrated by scammers. All I do all day is field scam offers and Reverb does nothing to help me. This site sucks bigtime.

Reverb has tons of bad reviews. I can attest to Reverb having the most Fake and Disgusting Service. If it wasn't for a seller making good on their word, I sincerely doubt that reverb would have make good on theirs. Thank you to the seller! Reverb can CLOSE UP SHOP & DISAPPEAR. THEY SHOULD BE CLOSED UP.

They will take your money. Then they say order not complete, as payment can’t be processed. You will then go to a help chat for an hour. No one is comming. Hang up. FRAUD!!!!!! Shop elsewhere!!!

Ordered a Marin Uke advertised "in excellent condition". Luthier won't try to set it up, neck needs reset, bridge has been badly glued. Two months no response. I guess I'm out $400.00. Don't trust Reverb!

Selling on this site is a complete nightmare because so many buyers are scammers or want free stuff at your expense. Though, the real problem comes down to getting paid. They take forever, & by that time it gives the buyer plenty of time to make up a bs story, either to get a refund, remove any feedback you left them to make it seem like they're the perfect buyer, or just never actually pay you to begin with, even after the item is in transit or delivered. This platform is an entire scam. Don't sell on it! I'm most likely going to get a lawyer, if I don't see my money by Friday night. They claim they don't pay until an item ships out, but that's bs. As a seller you should get paid upfront like all of the big box retailers do on the spot after you hand over your card. Their customer service is also none-existent. It's all about money & working with the person that bought from you, but if there's anything wrong, then they apparently immediately side with the buyer. They only have a chat support, so that should be all the more reason to avoid this site like the plague~

Rip. Off. ! Reverb is disingenuine about how much of the actual sale they want to let you keep. They rob you blind with their ridiculously high fees in the final sale. Then they take forever and be-labour getting the money deposited into your account. Avoid.

I sold a vintage synth on Reverb.com. Very positive experience with the buyer. We gave each other a 5* review. But then Reverb.com informed me they would not transfer the money they owed me because I hadn’t uploaded a Photo ID. Fair enough… all in favour of addressing fraud and identity theft etc… I uploaded my photo ID swiftly and then I waited… and waited… and waited… and nothing happened. I contacted their helpdesk. What a total waste of time, space and air…. They told me my Photo ID did not meet their requirements… I went through their requirements, one by one, step by step and showed them I did meet and succeed each and every requirement and asked them which one they would think I did not meet. They could not answer and disconnect from the chat. I tried 3x with 3 different support staff… They just hang up on you. They are rude, disrespectful and unprofessional! And I worked on a helpdesk myself… Reverb.com is already greedy taking a 10% commission but in my case they took a 100% commission where other sites offer a similar service free of charge! They could have asked for my photo ID before taking my money! I’d recommend to stay away as far as possible from greedy Reverb.com and their disrespectful staff! And just use one of the free second hand websites….

BEWARE. Purchased a second-hand Pioneer PD-M600 CD player “in great condition” for $150. Cartridge was jammed in the mechanism and laser lens was missing. I guess the fact that it could not actually play CDs wasn’t an issue for these rip-offs.

there is no way an acoustic guitar and a box weights 25 pounds! and they add $45 to my shipping bill. What a racket. Never again.

Only sold a guitar there because it was very difficult to get it sold for the price and quickly elsewhere. The selling fees and commissions are ridiculous. They basically hit you 3x over for just about the same commissions. But the part I really hated is that the earnings they show you vs what seller is paying is disingenuous and leads to mistakes The 'Bump Fee'. This is silly and I should have never done it. "recommended 4.5%". That 4.5% is on TOP of their existing 5% commission structure and 'processing fees'. If I ever sell another instrument I'll avoid this site unless I can only sell to a rare buyer. What a rip. Otherwise, it is secure and there is safety within the double-blind payment system for new buyers/sellers.

Two months to have an issue resolved. Sweetwater or Kraft is usually one day.

Shipped item to buyer quickly. Arrived in 4 days. Still waiting for reverbs payment process on day 5. Support says up to 5 more days before it hits my account. Absolutely unacceptable. And this after taking almost $30 in fees on a $125 sale. Done with em.

I purchased an item and tried to sign up for an account. While my account was under review I was refunded the money because the seller reported the item wasn’t in the condition as stated in the listing. I tried logging back in sometime later and it said my account was suspended without any explanation as to why. I tried to find a contact number or email but just get rerouted in a circle. I tried replying to 2 emails from the original email I got when I purchased the item with no response. Will never use this website again.

The fees are just too much to even consider selling on reverb anymore. I've had to sell at a loss on almost anything worth more than $100 on top of the astronomical shipping prices for anything larger than a pedal. I'm done with reverb, ever since Etsy acquired Reverb it nosedived. Fantastic for buyers, an absolute travesty for sellers. I'll take my chances with eBay.

I don't even think Reverb deserves one star ... totally dysfunctional and non supportive site. Automated CS does nothing for you but pass on your message to a live operator. The live operator never returns your requests... this is my 6th day asking for a CS response on a fraudulent transaction claim I have filed. I purchased an item that was not was posted. I now will probably prefer e-bay over this site ... the experience is terrible. I suggest everyone reports Reverb to the Better Business Bureau. I have filed a fraudulent claim with my credit card company.

I sold a guitar on Reverb only to find they deduct taxes from you as a seller to remit to the Government. I SOLD AT A LOSS THERE ARE NO TAXES TO BE PAID!!! THERE IS NOBODY TO SPEAK WITH. THERE IS NOBODY TO CHAT WITH. Additionally I didn't receive shipping fee included in the listing. I cancelled $45K in sales immediately with them. I'd rather pay the 2.5% more and take my chances on Ebay..

Same as below comments, try to file claim with Reverb so called whatever return policy all get is run around by bot and NEVER a response from staff whatever they call. In other words, the run around til return time is gone/over
