On arrival, our first experience was very poor. The girls at the front desk were quite rude and as a result my friend ended up in tears. I spoke with Julie-anne to let her know of our experience. We'd pre-booked our gear online (four families within our group). The girl that served my friend was so rude, that she decided not to give Leisa a free coffee card when the rest of us received one for booking online. I wasn't aware of this when speaking with JA so didn't pass on this info. On arrival into the store, there wasn't clear direction as to where to go. Perhaps a sign that hangs from the ceiling to "check in here" over the centre counter. There's online check in on the left, a centre desk, staff to the left and right with boarding and skiing fitting. People everywhere and it was overwhelming not knowing which desk to go to first. Keep in mind that most people have travelled a long way to get to Hakuba, are tired from travel. First timers are already zapped so clear direction and support on walking in the store would aid first impressions and alleviate confusion and overwhelm especially when the store is maxed with people. We booked and paid for our gear online, filled in all the details; weight, height, foot length to arrive and it appeared that non of this detail was accessed or used. It felt like a waste of time to provide when we were sized up on arrival. You guys had also run out of boots for my son (a school group had visited the day prior). Thankfully they found a pair, but it took some time and they really didn't appear confident they could supply boots for a short period of time. Again, annoying in that we had paid and provided details. We greatly appreciated the delivery and pick up of gear, also the refunding of gear returned early.

No complaints. Quick and efficient service. Helpful when changing premium equipment. Very handy that our gear was collected from our hotel after we left - one less thing to worry about when packing to leave.

Excellent service, staff and equipment. My only complaint is the lack of alpine touring equipment, bindings, skins etc. for back country touring which is becoming quite popular.

No one really to help, guide or assist upon arrival. Had to ask different staff multiple times about where to get fit etc. Guy that fit me was helpful enough though. After fitting, me and my friend were offered a lift to the gondola and told to wait 5 minutes (was raining and horrible outside). This turned into a 25 minute wait and we had to ask multiple times where the driver was. Eventually one of the shop staff gave us a lift. All in all not the best experience, particularly as we’d paid for the premium package and expected a little more. Not sure I’ll use Rhythm again when visiting Niseko or Hakuba.

Polite enough. Picked up from hotel in a timely manner but not that keen to get us back with our gear?! The skis were ok - not as good as others said about the newest gear etc. My ski edges were not sharp at all and there were lots of grooves out of the bottom of them. Premium package. They did not have my length of ski so I had to go down 6cm. This was ok due to conditions but with supposedly high stock levels i was surprised. Others closer to our hotel (and cheaper) but I went here due to reviews- possibly try elsewhere next time.

Pretty good! Would like the ability to book a certain ski ahead of time, but didn't end up being an issue.

Made my snowboard gear hiring process so simple. Couldn't recommend the premium package enough. Being able to swap boards according to the mountain conditions was very handy!

Excellent experience renting from Rhythm - great selection of premium boards to match the conditions at Niseko. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly! It would be great to have a bit more selection of premium bindings and boots to match the performance of the boards but it was all good gear. Super stoked to have top of the line powderboards from Jones, Libtech, Capita, Yes etc to choose from! Easy checkout and return process. THE place to rent from in town!

Great rental experience. Weather didn't cooperate so they adjusted our rental with no hassle and even refunded the difference for a day we removed from the booking. Also the shuttle service to our hotel was immensely appreciated.
