I asked for a quote on line from Rias and the next day received a telephone call from a representative explaining in detail all aspects of the house and contents insurance. On a like for like comparison the Rias one was lower and I accepted the quote.

Current motor policy with yourselves expires on the 16th February; to date I have yet to receive my renewal documentation. In desperation and worrying about the expiry date I telephoned your offices to enquire and discuss my renewal. I was informed that RIAS were experiencing trouble with the issuing of renewal documentation. I obtained a quotation from your staff for the renewal of £822.57 some £300 more expensive than my 2015/15 premium. When requested to justify this 63% increase your representative had no answer save that the figure quoted was generated by their computer. To say that I am disgusted is an understatement. Perhaps RIAS would be good enough to contact me with regards to this matter once they have an answer to this increase.

Staff were very helpful and answered all our questions, so we were more than happy to take out car insurance with RIAS.

I usually receive my insurance renewal reminder and premium and how much it is, for my car, at least two to three weeks before it's due, so I can either look elsewhere or go with it, to get a competitive quotation. This year i had to contact RIAS,to find out, this isn't good enough.

Despite renewing my Motor Insurance, am still awaiting any information relating to cover, travel and overseas cover.

The dealings with RIAS on the phone were fine. The person explained everything very clearly and without pressure. A problem occurred however when I tried to register my account online. I failed several times and had to call RIAS twice and send numerous emails to resolve the problem. I'm happy to say that all is fine now.

I tried to get a quote on line, it wouldn't give me one. Via the phone I was told this was query about my hearing aids, I think this could have been done via the web site. However this was easily rectified.
