“Boots fell apart in the heal and they will not warranty ( a company who touts their great warranty) because there is wear and tare on other areas of the boot- of course they are in used condition warranty on unused product is not warranty- stand behind your expensivepool products”

“I knew this before, but forgot, that Rieker shoes leak in water through stitching-holes that attach the soles to the uppers. Or rather I didn't notice the stitching-holes this time (July 2020) as these were under the soles and not lining the shoes. Used the shoes for the first time on a rainy day. I avoided all the puddles but my feet got soaking wet. I will only be able to wear the shoes basically indoors, which is ironic. I mentioned the problem to the seller and she just smiled and said that I could by silicone shoe covers at a spesific socks-store! No admitting that Rieker products are bad quality and normally leak through the soles. A lesson learned here. Rieker is good only for summer sandals as then your feet get wet anyway in the rain. When you see that Rieker shoes/boots are have soles and uppers stiched together, never buy them! I won't. Irritating that the money is lost though.”

“Have bought rieker for many years and have many pairs of shoes, boots and sandals in the brand. They WERE good quality. But I won't be buying from them anymore . The last 2 pairs of boots haven't lasted long before being ruined. I've had very cheap shoes that have lasted longer. So now I'm looking for a quality brand. It's such a shame the company have ruined their shoes.”

“Bought Remonte boots and the leather is peeling off. Took them back to the Reiker Store to show them, and am still waiting for the manager to call me, as there was no person in charge there. Am very disappointed.”

“Bought reiker ankle boots. Very hard underfoot and no give on sole Made my neck ache so much!!! Never know cushioning??? Won't buy again as this 2nd pair I tried with same criticism”

“My experience with this company has been very disappointing. I have wore my Rieker boots (Santana Red) 4 times and a total of 9hrs mostly indoors since purchasing them. These were my special occasion boots. After getting wet from snow a large dark mark appeared and has not gone away and the toe has begun to peel with no sign of scuff Mark's. I have Remote boots that were half the price that I have wore nearly every (in all weather) day since purchasing them in October with no signs of wear (dampness in snow and wet conditions) and no stains or Mark's. The dealer contacted the manufacturer with no recommendations and no warranty or recourse. I dont think the quality matches the long standing history of this company. I will not buy this brand again. This was a very disappointing experience.”

“I bought a pair of Rieker shoes less than a year ago. At the first outing in wet weather I realized that water was leaking through the soles - so I degraded them to good weather shoes. Now it’s winter again and I’ve been wearing them for less than 20 times but I just saw that the shoe is detaching itself from the sole. Worst shoe quality ever experienced.”

“I bought a pair of Rieker boots less than a year ago a d have been very disappointed with them. Within weeks the zip on one boot was faulty and has now completely broken even though I have not worn them very often. Also the faux leather has peeled off the toe and looks shabby and cheap. I would not buy from this manufacturer again.”

“Bought my second pair of boots. My first pair are wonderful. The second pair I bought January 2020 have let water in. Very disappointed for such a great product ... how can I get this sorted?”

“I purchased the boot from Englin’s in Lafayette, Indiana which is where I purchase 99% of my shoes and boots due to having a very narrow foot that was injured. I purchased this boot and only outside wear was from my car and into the school and back to my car. I have an attached garage so that was the only outside wear. Less than one minute on the pavement round trip. The heels look as if they have been through war. I took pictures and showed them to the salesperson there. They said they were ordering another pair to replace the ones I had. I have not heard from them since and it has now been over a month. Never again will I buy another pair and needless to say my days of shopping at Englin’s are over. I will just make the drive to downtown Chicago from now on. These have only been worn once for roughly 7 hours of which 6:59 minutes are inside wear.”

“I had bought a pair of the ankle boots. After wearing them a couple days they got dirty so I tried cleaning the dirt off with a wet cloth and behold the red dye was coming off them. Will be returning them can't believe a product sold for outerwear can't be cleaned without damaging them.”

“I never leave bad reviews but having bought beautiful rieker boots priced at 70pounds with present money I've been disgusted and disappointed in their 6 weeks life span plus a total lack of interest from their customer services. They are unwearable after the faux leather completely peeled off the top of one revealing cardboard type material. I only wore them around town. I've had 5 pound boots last 10 times longer than this. So disappointed and let down that they think it's ok to sell shoddy products at a high price. I thought these boots were an investment but now I'm left without any boots to wear and no reply to my emails and photos.”

“I paid a lot for these boots so I assumed I was purchasing a very warm boot...I was very wrong. My feet do not stay warm at all...I may as well as wear a pair of running shoes for the warmth I receive. My calf is warm bit not the feet. I paid around $190.00 Cdn including tax. I wish I could return these but cannot find the receipt!”

“I bought a pair in Ontario , Canada to take travelling in Germany ( lots of walking ) On the 3rd day, the zipper pull fell off completely & we could not find it - I could not wear the boot at all . Since I also could not find a shoe repair I had to buy another expensive pair ( this time I chose Nelson )”

“AVOID at all costs. I purchased my Rieker boots whilst on holiday. I wore them in light rain a couple of weeks ago and my feet were absolutely wet through. I contacted Rieker direct . They don't want to know. Take them back to the shop I got them from for inspection. Shop assistants don't manufacture the boots. £60 wasted .”
