“"I've been a happy RF user for many years. Earlier this year I went to install RF on my new PC computer. The RF website said that RF 8 was the version I should be using so I installed it. Nowhere was I warned that this new version 8 would not work on my Chromebook. Had I known I'd have installed RF 7 instead. It's been quite awhile now and RF 8 is still not available for Chromebook. This has created.a huge problem for me. Buyer beware. " EDIT: I was informed through this review that a chromebook extension was now available, so i installed it. The new extension works OK, except for one feature that was removed from the previous extension used in RF7. On the old extension I could leave it set so that I didn't ever have to enter the master password to open it. As long as the Chromebook stays in my house, connected to my network, I don't need password protection to open the RF extension. There was a setting on the old version that made it so that if the computer logged onto another wifi, then the password would be required to open the RF extension. I can't remember what it was called, but it was perfect for me because the only time I would want the password to be required would be if the Chromebook were stolen. Hopefully this feature will return. Until it does I'll be entering the password often. I have it set to 30 minutes of inactivity, which is not very long but that will have to do for now.”

“When Roboform had a major upgrade I lost a TON of logins. It was right at the time I was migrating to a new PC with the old one not available. Since then Roboform seems to miss some logins. I've decided to also use Google's Password Manager and, while, it doesn't have all the features of Roboform it's free and works pretty well, actually more automatic than RF although some would say that's a security issue. I used to love RF but now it's just ok. Hope there are no more surprises.”

“keeping passwords and filling forms . I would however like to see it update itself when changing passwords more reliably. And it also doesnt always autofill usernames and passwords even when they are saved.”

Hi Damon - thank you for taking the time to provide a review. If you're currently using version 8, you can update your passwords via the Security Center. Simply access the Security Center from your taskbar. From there you view your weak, resused, and duplicated passwords. You can also directly log in to each site and update your individual logins. Once updated, RoboForm will prompt you to resave. Regarding autofill, if you can please submit a list of the sites for which you're experiencing issues, our techncial support team will gladly investigate. “I have always loved RoboForm it just lately it has been hard to remember my master password can you figure out a way for people to be remember, because I know I am not the only one in this fix. I have my over a dozen pass files I cannot open now because I cannot remember the password.”

Hi Marion - Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. Because the Master Password grants access to your data, it is highly important that this is the one password you remember. We certainly understand that things happen and information can be easily forgotten. At this time, however, the resetting the Master Password results in deleting all current Master Password protected data. “Roboform used to have a great start menu. They "upgraded" it to work best with a tablet and what used to be one click to access common programs now has to be searched for.”
