Was given poor information when I wanted to make changes to policy . Ended up being cancelled . After several calls was told I would be given a discount on a new policy but price was ridiculous.

Ive been charged twice for my household insurance for 3 months!! Having contacted Saga after noticing this after 2 months , got the persons name/date and time of call etc , nothing was done. Still charged twice for the 3rd month. Made a written complaint been told it will take up to 8weeks to investigate . What is there to investigate that will take that long,? apparently that’s their procedure! Poor customer service and aftercare.

Initially everything was great with the new car insurance policy, we had been with Saga for many years and have had good service. However this renewal we had a great quote in my name instead of my wife's. Only to have a call from Saga a few weeks later saying I was not allowed any no claims discount due to being a named driver rather than the policy holder. This seems so unfair as we have not had any claims for about 30yrs on any motor policy. We only decided to change due to having now retired, i seem to be the main driver. I was very annoyed to have to pay quite a lot extra when i truly believed a spouse had the same discount as the policyholder. Not sure what to do this year will have to compare company's and main drivers.

My house and contents insurance are due to renew on 11/2/21-ok I will let it renew. However the car insurance renewal is also due on the same day, so last week I renewed online as you do with an upgrade at an extra £40+. I printed off the documents including the certificate of insurance for 11/2/21 - 11/2/2022. So far so good! However, on 1/2/21 I received an email asking me to renew my car insurance. What now I thought, there always seems to be a bloody problem of some sort. So I rang one 0800 free number at Saga and after having to listen to awful pop music and a recorded message from the head honcho about a survey at the end (not likely unless they pay me, as I always demand £100 cash or cheque for doing that), and funnily enought in all the years I have been asking for this sum, no company has taken up the offer! Anyway the lady operative (is that the correct term?) after her spiel, left me on hold and I GAVE UP AFTER AROUND 10 MINUTES. After a little while I rang another of their 0800 numbers and got another female operative and had to repeat the datail, asking why if my insurance had been renewed I had received a demand to renew. To cut a long story short she assured me that all was in order and that a note would be placed on file that I had rung to query what was going on. It was difficult to get any real explanation as to why an existing customer (who has been with them on and off for a number of yeras) and having just renewed, should be harassed in this way. I could go on, but I was given some story by one of them that there had been a systems problem when I renewed and issued with a different account/policy number. It doesn't leave me with much confidence in their systems, so I won't be booking any holiday with SAGA anytime soon!

i had my insurance paid with instalments per month and had to pay interest on a loan for the whole year to take out the insurance . But after only a few months i had paid the full balance, but when i did this i was told that i could not get a early rebate and on top of this i was using my car less but still no rebate (but i'm sure if i had told them that i was driving more i would have had to pay more for the insurance) so therefore i'm not to happy with Saga. It's simply about the money.

Cost me over £50 to get my address changed having moved house with Saga whereas with my other car which is insured with Churchill £12.

There were no questions on when you last held vehicle insurance, and since it was just over 2 years since I did, my premium was doubled. All because I couldn't afford to run a car due to financial restrictions.

£25 admin fee plus £25 amendment fee is beyond unreasonable. It has in effect cost me £50 to change my registration number as there was actually no increase in cost from old vehicle to new vehicle. I would cancel immediately and go elsewhere but that would result in a £50 cancellation fee, so I will wait now till policy expires but will DEFINITELY NOT BE RENEWING, due to these unreasonably high and unjustifiable additional costs. I’m old but not rich or stupid. Get it sorted SAGA.

Like all insurance companies, my premiums will go up come renewal. Offer a good deal to get you on board, then hope your loyalty pays off if you don't look around. Prior to Saga, I was with LVA, no claim yet premium went up by £160. So if I'm not with Saga again next year, you'll know why!!!
