“Like all insurance companies, my premiums will go up come renewal. Offer a good deal to get you on board, then hope your loyalty pays off if you don't look around. Prior to Saga, I was with LVA, no claim yet premium went up by £160. So if I'm not with Saga again next year, you'll know why!!!”
“Initial good service and customer support - very good when an unforeseen accident happens, and very helpful. Unfortunately, when it comes to having the third party admit guilt the procedure becomes long and tedious, especially when the third party is from Romania. After 7 months they are still working on my claim, and unfortunately, as long as they haven't sorted this one, my renewal premium is nearly 100% more expensive.”
“I was a customer of saga but when I phoned for a new quote I was quoted over 600 pounds with 59 years accident free driving I was disgusted, but when I went on go compare saga was the cheapest quote. They need to get their act together as a large company they do not value old customers.”

Even so, this was still way above other quotes from different companies offering if not the same cover then even better. Needless to sat, I walked.”
“I ended up paying for my own repair because the repairer they referred me to didn’t work with them any more and then they said it would take weeks to assess the claim as the one I as eventually referred on to was very busy and they couldn’t guarantee a courtesy car in the meantime, even though the policy provided for this.
I would not use them again.”
“We are moving back to the UK very soon from Portugal. My insurance company hear will not provide my NCD in English and Saga were not a lot of help as they said they could not translate or understand. Michael”
“Saga are shocking. I am currently dealing with them as they have taken 4 years Policy payments for my Dementia ridden father. During this time he was unable to drive and his car was garages and off the road and never driven. Unbeknownst to us as a family they took payments automatically and are now refusing to repay the error. They have lost nothing. HD the cR been driven they would not have covered it as they would seem it not roadworthy.
I will have further reviews but my advice is don't touch them they have zero empathy.”
“The only time I would be qualified to comment would be after a claim which is the time one really finds out how good a company is. As long as I don't have a claim all companies are effectively the same, just different prices.”
“They insisted I make out a claim form even though I said I didn't want to make a claim, I ask for the name of the repairer that I would need to take my car to if I did make a claim so I could get a quote to see if it was worth claiming as I have a high excess, they wouldn't tell me. For a company that supposedly specialises in a service for older clients, they certainly are not very user friendly.”
