Currently trying to charge us for a debt from the previous owner/occupier of the house. Put us on a prepayment meter without advance notification and closed our standard account. Twice lost power in dark and snow owing to this. Customer service reps are ineffectual and slow. Negative ratings need to be introduced specially for them. Please don’t even think about signing up to them.

Switched to Scottish power through Martin Lewis recommendation. What a mistake! Wish I’d looked here first. Customer service awful. Incorrect quotes for charges. Can’t speak to anyone. AWFUL!!

Bad energy company with awful customer service. Problems, problems and more problems, and when you call them they promise to resolve the issue (or claim to have resolved it) but nothing changes. Even switching away from them is a nightmare.

Worse company ever can’t wait to leave them I am tied with them till I pay £1600 I’m a pensioner an payed them £70 a month but they said they worked out my bill and it seems I should have been paying £122 a month I live on my own was never home worked for cordia so anyone that worked for them no’s it was work round the clock so stressed never go with this company

What can I say about this company? 1 star is far too high. This company have no customer service, they cannot produce an accurate bill, put new customers on the agreed tariff, take accurate direct debits, make call backs as promised, they have no complaints process, refuse to provide deadlock letters enabling the ombudsman to look into it- then claim they haven’t received a complaint (even when it’s in email to them.) I have a 2’year long complaint with them- Do not join this company and get away from the fast!

company you… Scottish power is the worst company you can ever involve your self with. Very useless customer services, they lie to sell their product. They are bunch of robbers who wants to rob you off your money. If you are thinking of signing up with them. I advise you run away they are dangerous. They are FRAUDSTERS !!!!!

Biggest rip off on pre payment meters! Just keep putting charges on them with no explanation! Phoned up to query why I had charges to be told by a very rude lady that the meter never lies! Avoid this company at all costs!

Customer service is terrible. You can never reach anybody on the phone and they don’t return calls in time time they said they would. Was told engineer would arrive in 4 hours on two separate occasions but this did not happen. Don’t ever switch to this gas supplier.

Had a smart meter to be fitted 6/01/2020, engineer arrived to fit the meter, after approx 2 hrs of try to commission the said meter the poor fella had a melt down and went home without fitting the said meter. I telephoned ScottishPower to ask them ( What next ) well after hanging on the phone for 30mins I gave up, sent a email & finally got a reply after 3weeks via online chat. What a diabolical way to treat a customer after being with ScottishPower for 12yrs. Well you have made a rod for your own back. Stuff ScottishPower.

The worst customer service, ended up switching providers. it is now January and they are still sending me two different bills, one for up till now even though they stopped supplying our energy in November and another for over £300 which was from before we even moved in. I have called about 15 times and spoken to a different adviser every time where each one has given me a different statement saying what I had to do, one being 'just ignore it'. finally I think I have finally sorted it but they really need to train their staff and sort it properly. if I could give them less than one star I would, just avoid at all costs and if you are already with them I wouldn't advise changing unless you want a constant headache.

Have been a customer with this excuse of a provider for 8 years and in the last 8 months have had horrendous treatment from them. Ongoing issues for 8 months which have not been sorted despite us calling, live-chatting etc a large amount of times. Each time get to speak to someone they reel of a different version of events and appear to make facts up (one example being that we joined them in Oct 2019 when it was actually 7 years prior!!!!). We are now attempting to switch providers however they keep blocking our switch. We spoke to someone only last week saying it was all completed and we could switch, only to be told today that it was blocked again. Disgusted and outraged by the service, lack of competence and treatment we have received. Strongly advise people to look elsewhere for providers as there are much more competent and helpful services out there. Surprised this company has not been investigated!

Total sham rip off by a disgusting company on every level... outdated systems that do not work... months of constant problems and weeks of my life wasted complaining that made no difference. I inherited the account from an old tenent who researched the worst company to switch to on purpose with the highest standing charges in the uk, before they were sectioned and removed by force from my flat.

Here is Scottish power with its pretensions and unassumed failures, they think themselves so indispensable to the whole of Scotland, therefore their level of services is poor and this company has a degree of dishonesty that can easily be questioned. They overcharge as well refuse to answer call on the phone and let me tell you that 22 and 23 are old fashioned lucky numbers get on your 39 rather. A company to shun as it s staff is in danger of being dealt with for their incompetence, that they like it or not! On time, I would advice current customers to look to other gas and electric companies they may be surprised at the difference of services!

The worst company I have dealt with by a country mile! Had new gas supply run into our property as our old oil boiler was uneconomical to repair. Scottish power arranged to install the gas meter on 23rd December.... no one turned up then again 13 January... no one turned up then again 20th January.... no one turned up. Had to rearrange heating engineers 3 times now and STILL NO GAS METER!!! The ombudsman are now involved and still awaiting the response from Scottish power.... absolutely shocking. We have 2 young children and have had no heating for over 4 months in total now. I now just do not know what to do :-(

Everything went wrong! 7 months on - still ongoing complaint and still not sorted out a tariff or bill. Avoid this supplier at all costs.

I joined you two months ago, sent in readings as required, quoted £28.10 per month which I've paid upfront for 2 months. I gave readings this morning, you claim my consumption has doubled and I now owe £40 next calendar month. This cannot be accurate as i have used no more than usual gas /electric

They have not only been charging me twice as much as EDF even though the lying soil told me i will save at least a 25% of what I spend on EDF. Twice they hung up the phone on me. Now I have to wait till I get a payment card before I can buy gas unless I want to get in debt. Disgusting they are a horrible company and just out to exploit the vulnerable. You get a -5 out of five from me. Diabolical behaviour towards costumers.

Applied for warm front discount in Nov 19.still waiting as of today.just phoned them,they say it take to end of march.spoke to dwp and they say end of Jan by law.cant get no joy of Scottish power.call handlers are very rude.sha
