I ordered a set of Bosch drills through Click and Collect and paid online. I had a message at 9 am this morning to say the drill set was in. I had a phone call at 9.10 to say it wasn't in and would not be available, to get my money refunded I had to phone Screwfix Customer Services. She gave me the wrong number. Why did I have to phone, it was their fault not mine. I phoned, the amount would be refunded within 5 days (why that long?) I then had another message at 9.30 to say my product was in and ready for collection. What a Mickey Mouse company, do yourself a favour and use Amazon and you won't get these problems.

Screwfix is by far is the worst retail company I ever dealt with, every time i order a product to be delivered to my address they always get it wrong, and they always have the same old excuses for their failure, I took a day off waited for the delivery nobody turn up and no phone call to apologize, next day the same, this happened 5 times with five different orders. when i called them they seem that they don't care, and they telling me that delivery has been rescheduled 3 days later without informing me. I will definitely avoid those cowboys in the future.

Lies built upon lies - First time customer - NEVER AGAIN I am urging you to avoid this company like the plague. I used them for the very first time yesterday. Went into the store to order tile cutters. I was told to pay and that they would arrive on Sunday (today). I asked them twice if they were arriving today and twice they said yes. The reason I sought this reassurance is that companies often lie about the arrival days of their products to induce you to buy them. This is what ScrewFix did to me. I phoned up and spoke to this horrifically rude man who acted as if Screwfix did not need customers. He insinuated that I knew that the product was arriving Monday - lies. I was told it was arriving on Sunday - I needed it on Sunday. I was then told that because it was ordered at 5.30pm, it would not have arrived until Monday. I asked why two assistants - a deputy manager and a shop assistant had not told me this. He said "mistakes can be made" - what by two people - one of whom is a manager? I then said I was going into a shop for a refund. He said they would not give me one until the product had arrived. So, I have no product - they have my money. I no longer want the product as I cannot deal with a company which lies - and they will not refund me. A very simple process. All they have to do is refund me and cancel off the order, but they refuse to do so. There is a very good reason why the reviews for this company are so low, not just on this site but on many other review sites. There are so many other companies to choose from - give this company a very wide berth. They treat customers as if they are expendable and maybe when they start to lose them, they will realise that they need a serious attitude transplant!

I have been a Screwfix customer since 2013 and have spent lots and lots money over the four year period. I have recently purchased a Miter saw and stand to go with it from Screwfix Harrow branch. I found the saw to be faulty over the weekend and took both items back to the same branch for refund on the 25th day. I wanted to return the saw as faulty and the stand as “Not fit for purpose”, because the stand is has no use to me without the saw. There are lots of reviews on Screwfix website left by other buyer stating the same fault that I have experience with mine. I have been served by two members of staffs both failed to understand how a customer should be treated and their rights are. Specially the first lady who served me made comments such as “You had it for a month now brining it back” & “I cannot take the stand back”. It was made to look like that they are doing me a favour by providing refund for faulty items. There seems to be lack of respect to people/customers and their feelings among the staffs. I would rather pay extra, for better customer service and to be respected as on should be. The Deputy Manager Denis at Harrow branch has refunded my money but it could have been done in a polite and respectful manner.

Today at at approx 16:10 I ordered a fan it wasn't the one I was looking for but as it was indcated that it there was 5 in stock and available for collection I placed my order and received confirmation of order, so I thought my search for a fan had ended. So imagine my disappointment when I arrive to collect my fan after traveling som distance only yo be told that there were no fans in stock due to stock error and then to be told the my refund would take 48 hours. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever received so much so that I believe it only fair that I share this for the good of others

Cheap B&Q overpriced rubbish. Far better quality and prices at proper builders merchants. They say professionals go there, yes maybe on a Sunday or if we only want to buy rubbish. Its about time these suppliers didn't exist as they only supply poor quality at high prices.

BEWARE CLICK AND COLLECT IS A TOTAL F***ING JOKE AND WASTE OF TIME! ORDERED ITEMS ONLINE TO PICK AT THE BIRKENHEAD STORE, I WENT TO THE COLLECTION POINT BUT I WAS TOLD I HAD TO QUEUE IN THE MAIN QUEUE TO GET MY CARD PIN VERIFIED! THIS IS NOT WHAT MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL STATED! ' Please bring the card you have paid with and head straight to the collection point where you will be asked to verify your pin.' WHY ON EARTH YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH PIN VERIFICATION!! ITS ABSURD!! THE MAIN QUEUE WAS ABSOLUTELY CHOCKA BUT 3 TILLS WERE OPEN, SO I ASKED IF I STILL HAD TO BE IN THE MAIN AND ONLY QUEUE! I WAS TOLD YES! THIS IS DESPITE A HUGE PLACARD ABOVE THE TILLS STATING ' CLICK & COLLECT in as little as 1 minute'. SENSING MY FRUSTRATION, A STOREWORKER SHORTLY ENQUIRED IF ANYONE WAS COLLECTING, WHICH I WAS AND GOT MY ORDER, BUT AS THE 'COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS DOWN' SHE GAVE ME MY ORDER BY LOOKING AT MY CREDIT CARD WHICH IS WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED! AS I WAS COLLECTING IT THE LEMMING WHO DIRECTED ME TO THE QUEUE WAS STILL INADEQUATELY TRYING TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF!! ITS GOING DOWNHILL FAST SINCE B&Q BOUGHT THEM OUT!

Useless!!! My partner and i ordered 6 led bulbs which were not in stock but were delivered to the store today. Total was under £17 and she is unavailable to collect the items today so i have have the receipt and intended to go and pick up the items but i am unable to do so without the card that was used to make payment. TOTAL inconvenience and will not be using Screwfix ever again... Contacted them on Twitter to cancel the order and the response takes ages. I would recommend to avoid screwfix and go elsewhere such as tool station. Shame really that the person who founded screwfix then sold it now owns and runs tool station, must have known the staff and procedures were a mess!

Who's the fool? Viewed a product on the website and checked availability - could be bought over the counter at any of their Northern Ireland stores. Great, I thought and went to nearest store. Only to be told that not only was that product not available in that store, Lisburn, but in none of the northern Ireland stores. It would have to be ordered in from mainland UK. Misleading to say the least. Needless to say I'm now buying elsewhere so I was the fool for following their website promise but in the end they're the fools as they've created a non customer with a negative view.

Summary - buy elsewhere, don't rely on Screwfix!! To explain in more detail I ordered a radiator and was told this would take 3 working days for delivery and I confirmed with someone to fit this the following Friday 12th February. On Wednesday 10th February at 9.31am I contacted Screwfix on the 0333 011 2112 number and spoke to a someone called Emma who informed me that it was infact out for delivery today (Wednesday) and it was in transit. I said to her 'they've confirmed that?' and she said yes they have. So all day on Wednesday I waited in on the delivery and by 3pm I started to get a bit anxious as to where it was. I called the number again and was informed that it wasn't being delivered that day and it would be Thursday! I received a text message on Wednesday night to say the delivery was going ahead on the Thursday !! On Thursday morning I received a text message to say that the delivery wasn't going ahead and I was to contact the number 01604 215 000 (Panther Deliveries) and when I did so, I was informed that the radiator was 'damaged beyond delivery' - how a solid steel radiator can be that badly damaged I will never know. I explained that I had booked in someone to fit this radiator the next day, Friday therefore I needed a replacement ASAP. On contacting Screwfix again I spoke to Louise Mikolajewski and explained the circumstances of this radiator not being delivered and that we required it on Friday at the absolute latest. She said she would book this in for me and would call me back. As I have a 6 month old son, the time I spent on the phone over the last two days was not easy to do and not receiving calls back just added to the stress. My Father then called Screwfix several times speaking to Harley, Sue & Nicole on Thursday afternoon to confirm that it would be despatched and we would receive it on Friday although a time couldn't be guaranteed for arrival but it would definitely arrive on Friday. I received a text message on Thursday night to confirm a delivery time slot and everything was on course. However, this morning (Friday) I received a text message to say delivery would not go ahead and I was once again to contact Panther. Another huge inconvenience when you have a 6 month old screaming for food and someone arriving in the next hour to start removing the old radiator and moving pipes to suit. I called Panther and was informed that the delivery would NOT be taking place today (Friday) and that it did not reach their Scottish Distribution Centre on time. You can imagine my stress levels at this point hit maximum. Three days I had been expecting the radiator to come and now with the person fitting it on the way to my house I've been told it will not arrive - again!! I called Screwfix again to speak to Nadia or Louise, I was told that Louise had just arrived and she just needed to switch on her computer and she would call me back. In the meantime I called Kudox (spoke to Paco) to find out what was happening as well as Panther and learned that the delivery definitely couldn't be made that day as there was 'no space on the vans'. Louise did leave me a voicemail at the same time stating she would look into it and give me a call back once she had found out what was happening. This voicemail was left at 8.37am. By 9am I already had the answer from Kudox and Panther and tried to get in touch with Louise but I was told she was in a 'meeting' - I spoke to a Jason Boon (Ext 4983) who took every detail and said a Manager of that department would call me back as soon as possible. An HOUR later I still had no call back so I called again, all the while the person fitting my radiator had been sitting in my house drinking tea and twiddling his thumbs unsure of what to do! If he removed the radiator would the new one arrive this afternoon or would I be left with heating in the dining room and kitchen of our house until the following week?! We are also expecting a staircase to be fitting the following week in place of where the old radiator would be so this inconvenience is delaying the entire job! Now 10.21am, two hours after I spoke to Panther and I am no further forward and I am certain that thee radiator will not arrive today. Louise calls back at 10.34am and tells me that the radiator will definitely not arrive today which I already knew from speaking to the supplier more than an hour previousl!! Another total waste of everyones time and the whole Friday or having work done in the house for preparation of the staircase being fitted next week. This is a complete disaster and I certainly won't be ordering anything from Screwfix again. We were about to start a huge loft conversion and had priced all the materials from Screwfix however I think we will just take our money elsewhere.

Very poor customer service in branch and on the phone to their Customer Service. Very rude, dishonest and incompetent "advisers" refusing to escalate matter to senior staff (e.g. manager or customer relations) - on several occasions refusing to transfer calls to the senior managers - liying that no one is available and despite multiple polite requests finally hung up. Will have to initiate an official formal complaint and refer to regulatory bodies and Trading Standards

Screwfix prices seem to have increased significantly. I compared their Summer 2015 catalogue with their new Autumn 2015 and was astonished by the size of the price increases. I now go to Toolstation, it's much better value. I recently bought the same 200 pack A2 screws and Fischer plugs 30% cheaper!
