Three year old sofa badly sagging now gives me back ache. Someone told me people only buy once from SCS ,I now see why ,low quality.Made to look good for a couple of years not comfort or to last.

We were given a date for delivery and fit a dining room carpet we cleared the room for that date, had no contact from the fitters as we were promised. We tried ringing the store just impossible, given the runaround so my wife drove in to the store. Sales man rang the fitters they said the carpet was not on the van. He rang the warehouse the carpet was there, and a promise to fit next day. Yes the fitters arrived next day, but on fitting the carpet they bent the carpet and put a crease in it. So we have new carpet with a crease across the middle of it very unsightly the old carpet looked better. Having read other comments about SCS. Do we waste our time trying to get any sort of redress?

Awful Awful awful! £960 on living area carpet (it’s not a big space). Was told it would be laid on or around the 17th or December. I called a few days before to check the progress as I hadn’t heard a thing! Spoke to a lady from the lakeside store who had no customer service skills what so ever! She’s thought it was ok to address me by “babe” my carpet hadn’t even been ordered! I demanded my money back straight away! After speaking to 3 mangers!!!Yes apparently one store needs 3 carpet manager. I was told getting my money back needs to be approve by a different manger! At this point I was ready to go into the store and tell people myself to not spent a penny with this company. I now have my money back so I’m happy! I feel as if this was a blessing. As now Iv done some research on this company I find it shocking they are even trading.

Couldn’t find a rug I liked so was told that if I liked a carpet they could make one and get a “whipper “to seal it .I picked one out that I liked and was told it would be 2-3 weeks as the whipper would be required .This was ok with me and they said they’d be in touch .This was on the 7th November 2019 ..On return from a 2 week holiday I still hadn’t heard anything and that was after 5 weeks .Returned to the store to be told “the carpet porter”wasn’t in and it would be contacted the next day.3 days later no contact but ring the store to be told someone will call back .No call !Rang back yesterday to be told the “whipper “would be coming on Friday (after 6 weeks and one day !) Returned to store today and got my money back ! I would like to add that despite my experience the staff were all very pleasant and helpful at the time of the sale but I feel that I should’ve be told earlier what the problem was .

Absolutely disgraceful customer service, after a stairs carpet was fitted the fittedr left a scratch down our fridge where they had rolled the carpet out to cut to size, aftercare didn't do nothing and put on hold for over half an hour to try and get through, you can't speak to anyone in store and after following their complaints procedure I'm still waiting a response, no one in the company is bothered!!!!!! I'll never use scs again, if you want horrific service and horrific aftercare service go to scs #notmyproblem #thatsnotmydepartment #letmetransferyou

Had a carpet fitted 15th November, it had a snag in it, I sent photos as requested the same day, I heard nothing so called to confirm they had received them and was told they had forwarded the photos to the manufacturer, I have heard nothing since despite numerous emails asking for feedback as no one EVER answers the phone at the so called “aftercare service” so I went back to the shop in Croydon and spoke to the manager, who was very helpful and sent an email to them himself and said he would call me when he heard from them, he hasn't called so they probably haven’t replied to him either. I tried to call him at the store today but it goes through to head office, I told her I was trying to contact the store manager and explained my problem to her, she said she would transfer me which I obviously thought would be to the store manager but no I heard the dreaded automated voice saying you are through to the aftercare service, again no answer. So I will have to go back to the store again. I have never known such appalling customer service and I don’t know how they have the cheek to call themselves an aftercare service. I will never shop with SCS again, I will be going next door to Carpetright for my stair carpet and Laminate flooring for my hallway, so bad luck SCS, you are useless. Take my advice and avoid them like the plague.

We ordered 4 seater sette+chair+foot stool Waited 12 weeks delivery They tried twice 2 delivery 1 month ago said not big enough access Took time off work both times Last week upholstery man arrived with settee took apart got it in NO CHAIR NO FOOT STOOL with him Rang SCSafter 1hr hanging on phone got loads of excuses will sort. P.call will deliver this Sat 14th P call Sat van broke down will deliver Monday as priority 7am to 9am guess what no delivery. SCS your business really needs a shake up customer relations is bad. No phone call Once again time offwork SCS Fosse Park I'm on my way.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Refused to change my delivery day and place even though they booked it in and didn't even tell me till the day before! When I rang to explain they said it was impossible to change the date and place of address. Very cocky on the phone and told me that it was tough and it was getting delivered anyway wether I like it or not. Absolutely disgusting service. Sofa uncomfortable and not like we ordered. Huddersfield SCS.

Sofas arrived damaged. We called them up immediately and they accused us of damaging the sofas. We couldn’t do anything about it because we didn’t buy insurance. Weren’t offered insurance during the sale.

My mother can’t read without her glasses. It was near closing time on Black Friday sale. The salesman read all terms and conditions contract she signed omitting she could not cancel the purchase. They made her feel she could buy now and cancel later. Now she’s being forced into buying sofa she thought she could change her mind. Cowboy salesmen take advantage of the elderly

Handed over a substantial deposit for a 10 th Dec fitting. Order cancelled in error by central office twice. Finally agreed 11th Dec fitting. After taking time off fitter did not turn up or phone to say why. Store would not answer phone and had to travel there for the 4th time to try and sort out. Result no carpet and too late to order before for pre Christmas delivery with anyone else. Feel Like I’ve been mugged. If I could have awarded no stars I would have. Avoid at all costs the stress is not wort it!

Where do I start.. Purchased a 3 seater sofa and 'snuggle chair' set from them in March 2018 when I was 5 months pregnant, delivery date got set back so I was sitting on the floor for several weeks. When it first came the Snuggle Chair was heavily damaged, damaged leather with scratches all over, called straight away and was told someone would come out to assess, got offered a pathetic £50 ish reimbursement, OFF OF A £1300 CHAIR, wow! Wasn't happy with that so continued for weeks calling and calling and was finally offered a replacement, replacement arrived a lifetime later, again heavily damaged, another replacement was sent. I believe in total we had 3 snuggle chairs. This was over several months so by the time it was dealt with again we received a snuggle chair that wasn't damaged but was a complete different colour to the sofa. In the end after almost a year of hassle with a new baby both were replaced, sort of matched colouring wise and neither had as bad scratches etc so we settled with the new set. UNTIL 3 months I believe after the new set came the front foot on the snuggle chair is all cracked with wood showing through and bits of black paint flaked off on my floor, we complain and they want US TO PAY to replace the foot. I'm sorry I wasn't aware that a 3 month old £1300 chair leg should break and it isn't your fault... absolute joke of a company. You're lucky its too late to do an AMEX charge back and you could argue with them about why you think you deserve my money because I don't believe you deserve a pound coin from us never mind after the ridiculous time and hassle with you for you to then have the audacity to tell us we need to pay you for your below par products an replacing a damaged chair leg. Absolute disgrace, never again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY TO BUY CARPET THEY ADVERTISE ORDER NOW AND RECEIVE BEFORE XMAS THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING - WE ARE NOW SITTING WITH BARE FLOORS IN OUR HOME AS TWICE THEY FAILED TO DELIVER WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND NOW WANT TO DELIVER MID JANUARY!!!! ARE THEY SURE?? YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUBBISH HAVING EXPERIENCED THIS FIRST HAND. THEY ARE NOT WORTH EVEN ONE STAR.

This I find difficult to understand. At my sons house to be here to help with the children whilst some (quite a few) carpets are being fitted. They have followed SCS instructions and removed all the furniture. They were told that this was all that was required after having asked for confirmation of this. Carpet fitters eventually arrive after having a few cancellations. They stated that they could not remove the carpets due to CROSS CONTAMINATION and as such would be well within their rights to leave. When my daughter in law suggested calling SCS they stated that they would just be told to leave. HOWEVER....... They could remove the old carpets for an extra cost....... So much for CROSS CONTAMINATION...... IT IS OBVIOUSLY RENDERED INACTIVE IF YOU PAY EXTRA MONEY .......

we ordered a carpet 27/11/19 they sent someone out to measure hall stairs landing and lounge. Measurements sent to their fitter so it was cut to size but it had been cut short and had to be patched in 2 doorways. We were charged for grippers which were not needed so managed to get refund. We have NEVER had a proper invoice despite asking several times for one - told that it had been emailed then posted but didn't receive it. Supposed to be free fitting but we had to give fitter £137.34 plus £45 which they said was taken off the order but we paid the fitter so how is it free? Worst customer service ever and would never recommend SCS to anyone

I bought a sofa from SCS . Was told I'd get it before Christmas. Had a lovely lady Call me a week before and tell me delivery date. The guy's who delivered my sofa called me and told time of arrival. They were on time and got my sofa set up with no dramas. Excellent quality sofa and got it half price.

DO NOT make purchases from these people. Terrible customer service once you have the items. Any quality issues are just deemed accidental damage so that they do not need to deal with them!! As for calling back or returning emails. Forget it!! So annoyed!!

Dreadful company. Customer service is non existent. Customer service manager from there Sunderland call centre laughed at me. Drivers whining about minimum wage and conditions. E-mailed their CEO David Knight but heard nothing. Do yourself a favour look elsewhere if you want a company that cares about more than your money.

Atrocious service. Probably one of the worst customer experiences I've had. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Went in to buy carpets to fitted in my home and after they came and did the survey they kept phoning me up subsequently chasing for the remaining payment. I paid within a few days in store as they didn't have online facilities to make them payment and I couldn't just pay in any SCS store; had to be the one I purchased from. After payment, it was around a week before they could get someone around to fit it all. SCS got some kids to come around to do half a job. They left the place in a state with nails, carpet cuts and bits of pile everywhere. They said they get charged to chuck it away but for me it's free so they just left it all a mess (which required me hiring a skip the next day). They also left a noticeable mound under the new carpet in the hallway and the main bathroom doorway was missing the door bar so we couldn't shut the door (fortunately we have another bathroom we can use). The store had apparently got the door bars mixed up so the fitters said they would sort it out with SCS and I would be called up to arrange a date for refitting. This didn't happen. I had to ring up almost everyday for the next two weeks even going into the store and finding out that some of my issues hadn't even been logged on their system. It's the third week now since the carpet fitting and none of my issues (the carpet mound and the missing door bars) have been sorted. Their after sales service is an absolute joke and you will have to spend endless hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone who may be able to help only to be promised a callback which never happens. Once again, an absolute joke of a company. Go anywhere else for your carpets. NEVER BUY FROM SCS!
