Have you ever tried cancelling a carpet order with SCS? Online you can cancel up to the day of fitting. If you buy in-store they want a 25% order value payment to release them from the contract. Twaddle of the highest order. 1, I was buying a house and took the particulars to buy carpet, so a survey is not done yet, so from their own site, they cannot cut any carpet yet. 2, The seller of the house pulled out (so not my fault) yet they still want 25% of the order value. What for exactly? I'm not resting until I get my money back. Can't put zero stars on my review unfortunately.

Never again. Brought white leather sofas this Jan, wasn’t told ifdye transferwhat to use. Told to get the insurance. Been away so didn’t actually sit on it till may this year and dye has come onto leather three months I have had this sofa. Called manager at Basildon branch and she really didn’t care, told me to call insurance, so we did and three people sent out and still the same, called them and they said I would here. Not letting this go. Disgusting have spend thousands there and this is the response. Think twice before purchasing.

We bought laminate flooring 2 years ago and we are still waiting for the job to finished properly as the first floor failed, went to SCS and they didn't want to know. We still don't have a fully laid kitchen floor. The fitter they told us to use keeps promising to come back but never does.

Bought leather Bocelli sofa and within 3 months back cushions flattened and out of shape. Customer service guy called (who was very ignorant by the way) and wouldn't accept any responsibility, saying they needed 'plumping' daily.... absolute rubbish ok it they were feather but they were not!!! Would NEVER buy from this shower again!

Having already purchased hall stair landing carpets also bedroom carpet which by the way the wrong one was put down we did say we'd accept it as we didn't want to create a fuss. However we then ordered a living room carpet to match hall stairs etc.. Fitting was delayed by two weeks, it was fitted on the Saturday then on the Sunspday we noticed a stain. We got in touch with SCS on the Monday and was told we had to ring a different number which they then proceeded to give me a duff number. Managed to get the number but still no answe. Eventually got through and told them I'd send some photos which I did on the Friday... Now they've sent a text to say we should have complained within 72 hours and to get the carpet cleaned!!! So annoyed.... It won't stop here!! Certainly won't be buying from them again!!

I bought a dining table and chairs from scs which had a problem. I had to fix the legs on the table and 3 went on fine but I couldn’t get one on as the screw wouldn’t go into the thread. I phoned their customer service as the shop didn’t want to know. I have had no reply from them and eventually had to pay someone to fix it for me. Absolulety terrible service and I will never buy anything from again.

The Service aftercare is disgusting you spend short of 2000 my furniture is 7month old and naked all there say we ll repair it NEVER EVER BUY FROM SCS AGAIN HOPE THERE GO BUST

We were promised we will do this and that. Any damage will be repaired but that was lie. They didn't repair or do anything. They just said we won't do it. We were very disappointed after paying for 2 years

Ordered 2 mint green rockers early April, after 5 months of ignored phone calls and emails delivery times made and cancelled, wrong and broken chairs delivered have had last got a refund and probably only because I paid by Barclaycard. When a company has your money this long they should pay interest and reimburse phone calls disgusting customer service and manager at Stevenage store made me feel uncomfortable going in for the refund and not even an apology- shocking!

Terrible experience wrong colour sofa sent and saying its within tolerance. Mire than 30 visits to store and 100s of phone calls still no response. Will not be using scs again.

I would never purchase anything else from scs. Brought leather sofas after four mnths dye out of clothes on furniture, called store they weren’t interested a tall. Told me I was insured,but the insurance is rubbish,the man has actually made it worse,he sprayed paint over it, now have patchy leather. Can’t beleive how disgusted I am with scs. Quick enough to take your money but any probs there not botgered

Sofa patterns do not match also had to pay extra £480.00 for dismantling because i took salesman word that sofa would fit through my front door. When you phone the store nobody wants to spezk to you. Customer service do not want to listen and same again they say my complaint is a concern had to point out that it is a complaint. I also asked for my complaint to be passed to managing director and was told they do not do that. Still ongoing they want to blame everyone else and do not want to listen. Basically anything that could go wrong has.

appalling customer service, happy to take your money though! leather peeled of my sisi Italia lucca suite after 6 months, it has worn nearly all the way through and scs aren't interested really, they are saying its my fault, awful company won't spend any of my money in there ever again, there's a Facebook group full of people who have very similar complaints and scs refuse to help

Once again a pure example of how useless ScS have been. After my previous update on this site I emailed photo's to them on the BRAND NEW SETTEE with the hole in and was contacted by the After Sales Team to advise that YET AGAIN I had to wait for a technician to come out, assess the issue, report back and the decide on what action is to be taken. When trying to state that this was not acceptable I was met with only what they would do, what systems they would follow and there was no regard as to the trouble I was having yet again!!! This issues is in no way pointed to the store of the staff their, but to the Head Office of ScS, their complete lack of understanding and to their attitude towards a customer who gave them a 2nd chance and doubled the amount of money spent on the new settee compared to the old. A word of warning to anyone considering ScS for a purchase of furniture - DONT. Still waiting for a manger from the H.O to call me back!!!!!!

Was told if my sofa went down in price between ordering it and delivery I would get a refund for the difference which is lies the sofa did go down in price 3 weeks after ordering it and I was refused the refund of the price difference

They are lucky to get 1 star...quick to take your money...then mess up everything and change delivery dates etc and also deliver wrong orders....not so good either at helping to fix issues. Would never recommend scs to anyone

I already have a review on here listed as 'SCS Chelmsford' that talks about my experiences with this store. Basically I ordered a corner suite in January, wrong stuff eventually turned up - and as of today's date(Aug 16th) I still DO NOT have my suite! Store/company does not care. Customer Service the worst I have ever encountered. Have had to give one star as a minimum - would love to give minus! Do not buy, or let anyone you like, buy from this awful, awful company!

Our sofas were meant to come withon 8-12 weeks after the order was placed. They did, but they didn't fit in the livingroom (too tall, hit the ceiling)when we were guaranteed at the store by the manager that the sofas would fit in any house. We called a dismantler a few weeks later, after keeping the sofas piled on top of eachother in the kitchen for another two months (health and safety hazard) (had to cancel kids' birthday parties) who then opened the packaging up only to find that they were damaged on delivery ( the deliverers were slamming them against the walls of the van and the pavements while bringing them into the house, the leather had torn. He still fitted them into the livingroom for us temporarily as we had had no sofas. We then went there again to place the second order to be delivered. 6-7 months later the sofas still hadn't arrived so we went back, only to find they had lost the order. We cancelled the order and decided not to place another one because we became fed up of SCS and so they came to collect the damaged sofas in return for the refund if money back to us.
