Do not buy from scs furniture may look ok. And don’t get me started on customer services 15 emails sent and not one reply apart from we get back to you in 3 days

After we purchased the sofas we could not get any customer service. We tried e mails with no reply after 10 working days. Phone calls we were kept on hold for 20mins and then cut off 3 times. Filled in on line help forms and still no reply. The store was no help and you can not phone them you have to drive to the store. Fuming will never purchase from them again.

We bought a corner unit less than a year ago, the padding on the arm has fell to the bottom so leaning on bare wood, a scatter cushion has burst open at the edges, and the base you can see and feel the springs coming through. As for aftercare, non-existent - Chris The “technician” said it was supposed to be like this, waited weeks for an appointment lasting only 10 minutes, he sat on the floor and played on his iPad clearly had better things to be doing. The quality of the sofa I could get a better one from a secondhand shop! Would I recommend SCS? Definitely not!

we bought a corner unit not even 12 months ago, one of the scatter cushions came apart and had to be replaced, the arm of the unit creaks and has no padding in it so you can feel the wooden frame underneath and can feel and see the springs underneath the material on the base. Chris the "technician" said it was fine and it was supposed to be that way, then sat on the floor playing on his iPad - obviously had better things to do - only here for 10 minutes. Should've went to a secondhand shop and the quality of the sofa would have been better. As for aftercare no such thing, waited weeks for an appointment that lasted 10 minutes and both took a day of work. Would i recommend SCS? Definitely not

We bought a 3 piece suite from Scs after trying it in store in January 2020. It was lovely and comfortable. Due to covid we did not get it till July which we accepted. On delivery we found the suite was nothing like the comfort of the one in store. It was hard too upright and the 3 seater sofa can only seat 2 people as anyone sat in the middle is sat on wood and metal frame work. All they keep telling me is it will bed in with time. 6 weeks has gone and I'm disabled and sat on it all day every day and no difference. I go to bed at 6pm as had enough and the discomfort has made my arthritis worse. A technician came who said there was no faults but agreed sofa uncomfortable. I spent nearly £3000 on a suite that is barely fit for purpose . Am I supposed to wait 2 years till its bedded in. Disgusted

Absolutely rubbish customer care. Taken nearly a year to get anywhere. Had a stair carpet which developed holes in the upright parts and it was replaced (unfortunately with the same product) because it was found faulty. This carpet developed the exactly same fault but now SCS refuse to do anything about it as they say its the way we walk. I defy anyone to walk down our stairs in anyway to create the holes where they developed. They want your custom but never your problems. So don't expect any help. Phones are not answered and you can wait all day for a promised phone call to you. They spend a fortune advertising their "wonderful products" but don't want to spend a penny on putting right faulty items.

What has happened to customer service? This company is an absolute joke! Placed an order today on line, paid for it and gave me no delivery details. Phoned customer service and was told second week in December! I then said that i wanted a refund and was told 14 days! Asked to speak to a manager and was disgusting. If that's how they treat customers steer clear of this company!!!!

Faulty livingroom carpet, line across width and 18" shade difference. Carpet fitter said "line would fade" It never and still hasn't. Contacted SCS to complain with photos ect manufacturer agreed to replacement carpet free of charge. All very helpful and nice on the phone. Fitter came today to fit carpet same fault he said "all the carpets he fits have that fault!!!" Told him to take it away. Ordered carpet March not fitted till months after due to Covid understandable. Just had phone call off SCS all carpets have fault when rolled and cut. Not as fitter said "it's the end of roll" We now have been given two choices have replacement carpet fitted wait 12 weeks to see if line goes after hoovering then if not we get replacement carpet or turn down replacement carpet and make do with faulty carpet. GREAT SERVICE FOR AN 83YEAR OLD LADY I THINK NOT WOULDN'T TOUCHED SCS WITH PROVERBIAL BARGEPOLE DISGUSTING

After placing initial order, I had to chase SCS to confirm details & arrange fitting despite website asking when they should call & offering option of "call now". All booked for fitting in 4 weeks and then 3 days before fitting it was cancelled & would be another 5 weeks! I'd already ripped out my fitted wardrobe to prepare for carpet fitting and when I expressed my disappointment, the response I got was unbothered. Arranged for a different carpet to be fitted sooner which was confirmed by store. Then I received order confirmation telling me the carpet would be received to store a week later than my fitting? So I Emailed the store and received a blunt email telling me it was "ACKNOWLEDGED" and fitting date was as agreed......And now 5 days before fitting Ive been told they can't do it! Got an email to call a number - rang the number & was told they (Customer Service) can't help me I need to speak directly with the staff who booked it...who had emailed me to call Customer Service?! Eventually get an email to tell me fitting can be done a week later.....surprisingly fitting could be done the day after my order confirmation stated it would be received in store. Said cancel it and they just said Okay. Terrible customer service. Poor attitude. Poor organisation and frankly I believe you've lied to me.

Bought a sofa and within a couple of months the springs were coming through the fabric, ripping clothing and skin. We've been trying for nearly 6 months to get the sofa changed or repaired but despite emailing and telephone calls no one gets back to you.

Terrible experience. Purchased a online in June, was informed I would be called right away to go over purchase before it was processed. This never happened. Everytime I called I was told that someone from Carpets would call me back. This never happened. Eventually I got a call mid July to say they could fit the carpet in August. When the fitter turned up there was no underlay or carpet grips with my order, as I was sick of walking on floorboards I eneded up buying some underlay on the day to finally get my carpet fitted. (The fitter actually phoned SCS and said he no longer wants any work from them). Not worth the hassle, reeled me in with the good promotions but I will not be ordering anything from SCS again.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience with SCS. Having to find somewhere to live during a pandemic, an already stressful time I have had to deal with a company that does not sell me the right product, gives me a faulty product and then also never returns my phone call after being passed from one department to another. All I want is the sofa I thought I was buying and apparently it’s too difficult to get this right. Customer service , what customer service???? Back in June I moved properties not having any furniture I bought a sofa straight away and was told I had to wait 6-8 weeks (which I was fine with) I was never told I could upgrade to a foam sofa and when the sofa finely arrived I was shocked at the state of the sofa. A technician came out and explained I was given a fibre sofa which requires a lot of attention and upkeep. The sofa seats looked worse than a second hand sofa I could buy off Facebook. He also explained that was a large tear in the cushion which he sewed straight away...I was not happy about that Iv not only been missold a product but also had a faulty one. I have rang,emailed and FB messaged SCS to organise a foam cushion which I was happy to pay the original upgraded price but no one is getting back to me, everyone I speak to passes me to another department and getting nowhere. I am now at a loss of 3 weeks of no communication that I am now having to take this further in getting a refund and taking the sofa back . So disappointed with the customer service and the whole experience. I never write reviews but I feel so strongly about this and suggest avoid SCS at all costs i regret shopping and spending my money with them

Awful failed to deliver carpet or fit. No contact since for last week. Will be taking the, to court for refund. Can only talk to call center after waiting 30-40 min on hold and they Are no help as can’t get hold of anyone. No accountability no morals. No one calls back or replies to emails. Awful store and should be shut down !!

Went there in 2017 bought two Lazy/Boy swivel chairs. Husband thought they were a bit pricey at approx. £1.500 the two but the sales woman said they are 100% leather and are made in America that's why the price. November 2019 first time ever tried to raise my chair higher it has a mechanism to do that underneath the chair. As soon as I sat back on the chair it went down again. Contacted SCS to be told they charge to come and confirm you have a problem cost£75.00 not refundable once confirmed you have a problem. I would not trust who SCS send in after reading customer reviews. So got my own report done once the Virus abated slightly. Had the man in who has been on BBC Television he is at the top of his game. Whilst here he examined both chairs seats have collapsed due to cheap fillings. Both chairs he confirmed have manufacturing faults. Cost of report £275.00 and he took pictures as well of everything. I sent the report and pictures to SCS they have not argued or disagreed with the reports findings. But apparently want to offer me 60% towards the cost of replacement goods. Why would I want anymore of their cheap rubbish? man who did report nearly floored me when he said these chairs are not 100% leather. Certain area the covering is vinyl dyed to match what leather there is. And that the chairs are made in China he found the label hidden underneath the chair. If stupid enough to have replacements which I am not will be in this position again within three years as doubt if would be made to a better quality. What really gets me is they want to charge me for usage of these chairs for the 2years and 8 months I had them before I noticed the problems. They might be allowed under consumer law to charge usage but morally no. A decent company would say sorry and give a choice to the customer of money back or replacement goods, What I find worst of all is the staff must be instructed to lie to customers or why would the woman at the Colchester store lie to me and my husband. If she was lying off her own back she would be frightened surely of losing her job. Now you also have to go through Alternate dispute resolution before Court action. But Court is where I will be taking this. In short do not buy anything from this company they are rubbish and sell rubbish. Read SCS members complaints over 2.000 members we cannot all be wrong.

Don't use this company! Absolutely shocking customer service,there suites are horrendous,I had mine for 4 weeks,it had at least 6 serious faults on it,contacted the damn rude David Knight,at first he got a lady called Marie to ring me,i sent pictures and demanded compensation for all the stress this company had put me through,I got a sincere apology,what a joke,i demanded my money back,but i asked if possible could I keep hold of one of the sofas due to having a very sick 4 year grandson living with me,i told Marie he tube feeds,has kidney disease and is waiting for a transplant,her reply was no sorry if we dont take them you won't get your refund,they collected them,my new suite (obviously from another company).. wont be ready until September,i sent pictures via email 6 times to David Knight and Marie Robson of my precious grandson on his feeding tube sat on the floor 😪,they've never replied! Hang your heads in shame SCS!! HORRIBLE PEOPLE! Lucilky for myself and my family a lovely company has heard about my story and loaned me a brand new suite until my new one arrives.. HONESTLY PLEASE DO NOT SHOP AT SCS THERE SO DAMN IGNORANT AND RUDE!! Let's see if I get a response on here off scs! I doubt it..

The worst! After a 5 month wait my sofas arrived damaged and falling apart. The leather is all loose and crippled and it has holes in it. They also sent the wrong model of foot rest. It’s a different material and colour to the sofas. No one has returned my calls or emails. I am so upset and very stressed. I wish I never bought them. Terrible customer service

Took delivery this month 1x 4 seater sofa plus 1x3 seater sofa , both sofas were badly made rucking of fabric , unstable , feet of sofa not all on floor , gliders falling off, dents in arms ect should not have been passed by quality control. Unable to contact people to rectify this . Have e mailed their offices -no replies -Have contacted solicitor , will be taking them to Small Claims .

This has to be the worse company I have ever come across Like every sales dept, they are all smiles and chirpy when they want your money. I also completely understand there is a global pandemic, but the issue we experienced was down to sheer idleness in the store and no interest once that sale has gone through, it was very obvious that I was being dealt with by a sales team who'd been in the job for a very long time and had heard it all before and literally have no interest. It’s now been 5 months since we ordered the carpet. We got half fitted 2 months ago and the order half was left with doors taken off and small patches of underlay laid. I have called the store 19 times to be directed to HO and told I will be called back, I still haven't received that call. Worst company I have been involved in in my lifetime. Please please if only one person avoids, I will have achieved something I have written to the departing CEO David Knight with all the details, so I await his response! I like must, ignore these reviews but from my personal experience, and from this experience alone, I will never use SCS again.
