“We hoped we’d bought a car on the Sunday, but over a weekend the car Seles spreadsheet is locked until the Monday so we had to wait to find out if we’d been successful in our purchase. We were disappointed to have to contact the garage to discover that the car we’d put a deposit on had indeed already been sold. Neil, the manager, offered to keep looking for us or to give us our deposit back. We opted to have him keep looking and we ended up paying £1000 more than we were initially going to, but the car we got is absolutely worth it. Nicky looked after us really well - he’s a friendly and approachable guy and would recommend this garage to friends and family based on his service. Thanks Nicky & Neil. Next time we need a new car, we will come and see what you’ve got first!”

“General service was ok. The car was not cleaned thoroughly, obviously a rush job. Need to give the’cleaner’ More time to do the job properly. Salesman did not explain the need for Abdul or even its exsistence where to obtain it or add it.”

“In the first instance I found the car I was looking for online. Following a couple of emails and telephone calls with S G Petch I decided to make the purchase. My sales contact Dan was courteous and helpful and without pressure. He was able to provide me with all the information I needed and had a short video made and forwarded to me. Upon collecting my new (second hand) car lockdown had an obvious impact, it was not really possible to be given a full guided tour of the car and did mean a lot of reading on my part to familiarise myself with the instruments and controls. That was the only downside to an otherwise simple and relaxed transaction. It's been a pleasure doing business with S G Petch”

“I was left feeling a little underwhelmed by the experience of purchasing a used Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I traveled from Manchester to York to view the vehicle as according to the advertisement it had most of the key features I was looking for, including Apple Car Play, for me quite an important feature as the Alfa 'infotainment system' is poor by comparison. As I was preparing for the test drive it was confirmed to me that despite being advertised as such (I have a copy of the advertisement), the vehicle actually did not have this feature. Subsequently it was very clear that there would be negligible room for negotiation on price other than a token gesture, which ultimately I accepted. A little more care proof reading advertisement copy would be worthwhile prior to publishing in future.”

“In the circumstances the salesperson could only show us the outside of the car. It is terrible trying to find things on the computer and info book. Bring back cars that have easy to use dashboards. I don't need to know how many minutes my last drive took. I have a watch.”

“Due to COVID all arrangements for purchasing the vehicle was via the telephone and internet. On collection the changeover was also completed with the minimum of fuss and efficiently. Overall the experience was good and I would purchase again in the future providing I could secure a good deal. If there is one minor gripe and it is minor the salesman advised he would send me a touch up pen for a few stone chips that I found on the vehicle which has not arrived to date. I also found the price competitive but had to travel 5 hours to collect the car and consequently had to arrange for an overnight stop. The salesman was very helpful on local knowledge of accommodation, places to eat and costs involved.”

“Andy was excellent, sent a video of car and arranged good deal due to us being loyal customers. All transactions carried out with ease. Very satisfied with car and service both on phone and at showroom. To make this a 5, suggest phonecall follow up to see if any queries and check customer satisfaction, particularly as in present circumstances can't test drive or see car before purchase.”
