“Very efficient and helpful car dealer. The staff were attentive, understanding and well organised. Price was very competitive and the whole experience was made very easy. “The whole process of buying a car can be stressful, but this experience was way beyond normal. I ordered a car with some factory fitted options and I was given a strong impression that this would include a drivers electric seat as part of the electrically heated leather upgrade, which are absolutely essential for me. This turned out to be incorrect and the drivers seat was manual. Whilst this was not a deal breaker, it left me feeling anxious and stressed, over the 5 month period, as I felt I could not entirely trust that the car would be delivered to the specification I need and had ordered. At no point was there any communication during the whole process unless I initiated it. The only call from SG Petch was to tell me the car had arrived at the dealership. With both my previous two cars, a Mercedes and a Volvo, communication was regular and informative, without me having to chase it. Having said that the handover process was smooth and the car itself is exceeded expectations.”

“As a lady who buys and runs her own car, I found the purchase of my new car a good experience. I was treated as an equal which has not always been the case. No excuses about COVID were used to prevent me looking at, and test driving, several cars. Kevin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I am very happy with m y purchase.”

“Despite Covid-19 restrictions, we got incredible service from SG Petch Darlington Kia. A sanitised test vehicle was made available and we were allowed to take it for a drive of our choosing. We experienced no sales pressure from the dealer, who was very knowledgeable, and we negotiated a great deal. We would happily recommend!”

“We visited the new Sunderland Showroom as it was opening and were impressed with the Professional customer service without it being too pushy. This was our preferred way of shopping for a new car and met our needs. All Managers and staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to enable us to secure the vehicle of our choice. Special mention to Geoff and Chris who were extremely professional and helpful.”

“What a great experience. I have not had to buy a car for 35 years so was surprised. Covid safe (clear signs/lots of sanitizer), friendly welcome (offered coffee etc.) and a good selection of cars. The car was ready to view. Tony Hill showed us the key points, was quick with the paperwork as well as offering and explaining trade in price. He sold the care very well. Having visited numerous other places, it was a pleasure that someone actually could sell and had all the closing techniques... we got assumptive and alternative closes and bought.”

“Very helpful people who were happy to let me have a test drive and answer any queries. I was very happy with the deal and there was no hassle with my method of payment. The car needed a small repair to the paintwork which was completed quickly with no problems.”

“What started out as a positive process and purchase turned into a negative one. When we viewed the car it only had one key but we were assured by the salesman at the time that he'd provide a second key. We naively thought that would be the same as the existing one i.e. a remote control key. AFTER we'd made the purchase of the car, the key we actually received was a manual one (presumably costing less). When we queried this we were told that they'd never said it would be the same - only a replacement one. When I escalated this with the Sales Manager AND SG Petch's General Manager I was given the predictable answer that they satisfied what they'd said they would. How stupid of us not to be mind readers and predict this when we signed on the dotted line.......”

“I recently bought a 67 plate Ford Fiesta Titanium - The sales staff were friendly and very helpful but best of all were NOT pushy. The car was immaculate when I picked it up and it even had a 1\4 tank of petrol in it. Nothing was a trouble. I would certainly recommend this branch of S G Petch not just for its choice of New vehicles but the large number and choice of used cars.”
