“I had read many reviews before making my choice. Like many, I find it difficult always to "guess" an ideal fit when spending on a luxury item. So I was delighted when Shackleton open its shop in Covent Garden. Of course, the full range was available and make my final selection so much easier. Adding to this were the superb staff who gave me the time to browse whilst offering any help I might need. Overall I am left with an overwhelming experience of quality in both the coat and the service.”

“I have bought 2 Ross Gilets one Chalk a 2 xl and one Black one. The Chalk is amazing and has everything I require warmth and internal pockets which I find very useful as when I out about, hence I decided to buy the Ross Black but I am disappointed that this version does not have any internal pockets. So as with the Chalk version I thought Shackleton was ahead of the field by having many pockets but still looking very fashionable. But now you have changed the style Shackleton Ross Gilet is very much the same as any other gilet.”

Thank you again for the feedback on the new Ross. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with the design changes. The decision was made to remove the internal pockets for a lighter and more comfortable fit and we felt that the 4 external pockets would be more accessible so as not to have to unzip the jacket. We have shared your feedback with our product design team though and will be sure to review this with future design iterations.

“WE bought two Shackleton jackets and a centenary orange pullover wax jacket - they are all excellent quality and very comfortable to wear. We are off to Scotland in a few weeks to test them out!”

“It was great to be able to speak to a really helpful and personable young woman before placing the order. The down jacket is exactly what I was looking for - I visit various parts of Norway and need something smart and warm ( a difficult combination). The Ronne is just right. And I like and relate to the Shackleton branding.”

“The product was advertised as black but it was actually more of a navy blue. Shackleton were great and they promptly sent me new jacket the next day just in case I was sent the wrong colour my mistake. Initially, I was not sure about the blue but after trying on the jacket, the fit was great and the blue was very nice. I have worn the jacket a few times and it is very comfortable, warm and looks great. Would definitely buy from Shackleton again.”

“Ross Down Gilet L Blue Arrived beautifully wrapped and packed which is nice. Quality of the finishing is very high, with no hanging threads or missed stitches. Design is very thorough, good shape to the body (not a hanging sack like others) large, useful pockets with chunky zips and pulls that will work with cold wet fingers. The wind baffle/placket behind the zip is several layers of material and stitching so should stay flat behind the zip, not fold like flimsy versions. The fleece collar and zip guard all work and make wearing fully done up comfortable. Lastly, and most importantly, it feels very warm and certainly blocks the wind. Not tried it in cold weather yet but I am sure that it will be very snug. Looks great as well. Expensive, but top-quality product. Well done and many thanks.”

“Love the products but I am disappointed that graphene is no longer being used in your jackets and knit base layer.I am so glad that I bought the frank hurley photographers jacket and pilot jacket and the Vincent base layer all with graphene a few years ago.”
