The shirt I purchased -ladies fdl polo- was far too small. Poor sizing again.

I found ordering online the most frustrating experience I've had for many a long time I ended up phoning your office and the lady I spoke to was most helpful talking me through what had to be done and directing me through your very bad illogical and most complicated website The time it took was far longer than the former facility of making a phone call and ordering items by word of mouth. All l I required was information documents as Local Training Manager to give to my new leaders. The Scout Association is making life very difficult for volunteer leaders by putting in place difficult systems to navigate ones way through Please can you restore the system of being able to make a phone call and order the papers that I require i.e. yellow cards and other supporting papers for new leaders Thank you Paul Ketteridge Local Training Manager Buckinghamshire

Hi Paul, Thank you for leaving feedback, our new website should make it easier to find what you need and generally our customers are very pleased to save time and hassle by ordering on the web directly. We ship over 1 million free documents every year and if we took these orders over the phone we would never be able to serve the amount of customers that we do. That being said you can phone in and speak to customer services however we no longer take payments over the phone to avoid the risk of your details being shared in an environment where cant guarantee your security. We feel we are making life as easy as we can for volunteers by allowing them to order online 24 hours a day and delivering these publications free of charge (for the free resources). Before Christmas I returned a set of staged hike badges which were sent to me instead of the nights away I requested. I still have not received the correct badges or a refund despite phonecalls and emails. My latest order was correct and prompt. However, I avoid using the official Scout store as much as possible as I find the customer service at best inept and at worst shocking. They seem to have no compunction in taking money off their own leaders and Scout groups for incorrect, missing and bad quality products.

Sadly I was disappointed by scout store. I accidentally added 2 jumpers to my basket which I realised just as I had confirmed payment. I got in contact immediately to be told that this order could not be cancelled or changed.

I paid for next day delivery as the Beavers were promised their badges before half term. Order made on Monday, meeting on Thursday, badges arrived late Friday.

Hi, Thanks for leaving a review, we do monitor our availability and it is usually 95% plus can you be more specific so we can look into please (can email customer services with the issue). We are also adding a new feature soon where it will email when an item comes back into stock so you don't need to keep checking. Happy with my purchase but disappointed with delivery. I paid for next day delivery but didn't get my parcel for 4 days when it arrived too late for what I wanted it for.

I hold three roles in scouting and have used Scout Store for may years, as appointments secretary I always ordered all my forms etc. Due to new logo etc I am finding it increasingly hard to get the leaflets and forms I need. Over the past year the paperwork, forms, membership cards I would normally access are not available ! sad :(

We are changing over items with the brand but they are usually only out of stock around a couple of weeks unless there are reviews of the publications from the HQ teams\volunteer teams. 1. Why can't we order by telephone any more? Much easier for your customers. 2. When important publications are not available why is there no notification? Took forever to figure it out and needed a 'chat' to establish it. Not everyone wants to download PDFS.

Hi, Thank you for leaving a review, we stopped telephone orders due to minimise the risk of customers card details being heard in a busy call centre environment. It is much safer to order goods online where there are layers of protection and total discretion guaranteed. We are working on a button that will email when back in stock on all goods, publications can sometimes be out of stock for a longer period due to changes required to comply with new legislation or a change in rules. If it is a significant publication we do put a notice on the item detailing how long it will take to come back in. We are also committed to the service and last year we sent out 1.3m publications free of charge to our customers across the UK. Despite a long lead advertised on this event order, only one item came on time. The others were a fortnight behind. Delivery was awful - the box was left in my dustbin at the front of the house. It could have been removed by the binmen or stolen. No attempt was made to leave it with neighbours. At least all the clothes fit me, though the soft-shell is a close fit.

My son has been lucky enough to be chosen for the World Scout Jamboree and we were encouraged to purchase extra items from the Scout Store. Having put in an order in February I was told that delivery would be towards the end of April. In March I was informed that one of the items had sold out but that the Scout Store would be sourcing additional items and was assured that I could still expect delivery at the original time. I then received an email at the beginning of May advising that my order had been delayed. It was finally delivered a week later. To 'compensate' me I was informed that I could have 15% off my next order. Bearing in mind that the only reason I shopped with Scout Store in the first place was because of the Jamboree, although this offer was appreciated, I feel that it is somewhat of an empty gesture as it is extremely unlikely I would be placing another order. I was very disappointed with the service offered.

You can use the 15% off when buying uniform too for your son or on any of our equipment ranges where its can be a substantial amount of money off. Thanks Scout Store

My order was first placed on 5th March and I have in the past few days received the final part of the order. In fact I didn’t realise I was waiting for something that turned out to be Sixer leaflets. This was the third postage for what was a relatively small order. You need to give availability dates. I had to chase the order to be told you were waiting on the badges coming in. The problem was I had to ask; I wasn’t kept up to date. Also had I known how long I would have to wait I might have cancelled the order. Overall poor service. Scout store will not be my first choice in future.

1 of the items dropped off the order so I had to pay 2 delivery fees, I phoned up to explain and was told there was nothing they could do. Plus no email to say first lot was on way. Did at least get email explaining 2nd one would be late.

It doesn’t make it clear the sizes .. it’s very confusing what is adults and what is child’s , I returned a shirt last week to exchange but have not heard anything back at all .

Really speedy dispatch of good which was great, Unfortunately I had to return the good for smaller sizes, but no communication regarding the return or about dispatch of new goods. My son s being invested next week, and at the moment has no uniform.

Nice products particularly the iscout and new ranges but usually overpriced and the sizing & fit is atrocious. I had to buy two pairs of scout trousers in the same size to guarantee at least one pair fitted & sure enough one pair did fit (although they were badly seamed) the other was at least a size smaller despite being labelled as the same size. This seems to be a common theme now with Scout Store goods the quality is really poor and you end up sending more back than keeping as the sizing differs vastly between products. Another issue is the lack of stock availability particularly uniforms and badges - with badges I’ve found the order arrives in multiple bundles of badges sometimes over several months and often I’ve had two envelopes arrive on the same days post each containing a different badge - that’s not a cost effective way of running a business.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we feel our pricing is fair and the quality good (we have a very low return rate on our products). However we are always looking to improve prices and quality where we can and the sizing is always pretty complicated as each retailer has different size specifications for a size range. Ideally we want to try and find the most harmonious specifications to match the majority of our customers. We did have some availability issues on uniform due to the typhoon in the far east we are now back in good availability and the badges have been going through re-branding we are now confident these issues should be isolated from now on.
