“I ordered a two-piece oak handrail to be delivered to my customers home following a replacement hip operation, so it was needed promptly. It took the full 10 working days & was missing some of the vital fittings when it arrived. This led to the need for a second trip to my customer 20 miles away! I expressed dissatisfaction, which took some days trying to make contact, but was pleasantly surprised when the missing parts arrived the following day & Dan offered me a very acceptable discount in all the circumstances. Customer reviews seem to show that the company are usually on good form but they seem to slip up a bit too often for customer comfort. The product itself proved very good but you need to be handy in fitting it as there are no pre-drilled holes for attaching any of the fittings. Would I use SimpleHandrails again? Yes, despite my misgivings. The rail & fittings were of very good quality & despite the unfortunate initial service, once I had made personal contact their customer service came up to the mark! They managed to make me happy!”

“My handrail arrived in top condition very well packed. (I was surprised to find that there were no instructions which wasn't a problem for me, but I felt that it may be for others who are not as proficient with DIY skills and measuring up for handrail fitment onto a staircase. Also there are maximum and minimum handrail height guidelines which are part and parcel of building regulations) However, my stainless steel tubular handrail is fitted and looks great, well pleased with my purchase.”

“Delivered on day requested. Handrail and brackets seem to be of excellent quality. Supplied fixing screws seem rather small - I will use larger screws when mounting handrail brackets to wall.”

“the handrail delivered had flat ends I ordered dome ends and also tracking the order was impossible. The handrail delivered was actually very good quality and I was offered replacement but decided to keep the one sent”

Hi Raymond, I have tried to call and email you several times with no reply. UPS sent you the tracking details direct firstly so that should of been received. In the terms of the handrail the guys picking have just chosen the wrong one. We will gladly swap it however until this review we had no idea there was an issue. We have a no quibble policy. “We love our new hand rail. However it would have been good if there had been pre-drilled holes in the ends so that the caps would line up perfectly. We've done it as best we could and they're going to need sanding down a little to match perfectly. Great quality product otherwise though.”

“I was quoted £600 to supply and fit by a local builder. A quick look online saved me the best part of £400. Good quality solid oak rails. Cleverly designed brackets make fitting easy. Screws not the best, three heads broke off while hand tightening. On delivery i found i had only been supplied with 2 end caps instead of the 4 i needed. A quick email was sent and i got a reply within 10mins, new end caps were in the post straight away. Good service, would recommend to anyone.”
