“Our recent Splendors of Egypt far exceeded our expectations. The hotels provided excellent amenities and everything we needed was available on site. The river boat's food offerings were varied and delicious. But what really made our trip was our tour director, Khaled. He went above and beyond to set proper expectations were set each day and ensured we were prepared for the full day ahead. As an Egyptologist, he delivered information in an engaging way and was always willing to answer questions. He made suggestions about extra excursions or places to eat. We eagerly look forward to our next trip.”

“what a fabulous adventure! Not an easy trip but exciting and beautiful. Smartours is surely blessed by the association with Passage to India's Bonita Backer. We've experienced some of Smart's finest tour managers (like in Egypt and Israel) but Bonita was by far the best guide ever. Her love and devotion to this part of the world opened our eyes to its beauty and peace. Truly an adventure we'll never forget. Thank you Bonita”

“The South American itinerary was varied and very well organized. Special thanks to Fernando, our tour director who was absolutely superb--knowledgeable, accommodating, informative, and professional! One important suggestion for Smartours to consider for this tour: there should definitely be an extra day or two added to Rio at the end of the trip. It was really cut far too short for such an important destination. At the very least, it should be available as an optional 1- or 2-day extension for those who want the extra time.”

“We had a wonderful time on the Morocco Tour, Our Guide, Khalid Lamdira did an outstanding job keeping every body informed of up coming events and times. His knowledge of the history, geography , and culture of Morocco was a great asset and truly helped to make our tour around Morocco a memorable event.”

“Our guide, Alan Gill, was outstanding. He knew everything about Israel and took us everywhere with skill and enthusiasm. He gave us all the inside information to experience Israel as a native and not a tourist. We had a great bus driver for all our needs and we saw all the highlights of Israel. Our hotels were great and so was the food. An extraordinary experience I will never forget. I recommend this particular trip with Alan.”

“The Ecotour of Costa Rica was very good. There was hiking, jungle river rides, village visits, and learned a lot about tropical agribusiness. Our tour guide, Viktur L. (SwissTour), is a naturalist so he was wonderful at identifying all the strange flowers, trees, animals, birds, butterflies--and an easy-going guy able to handle any crisis or change. We absolutely loved all the fresh ripe fruit available at every meal. Most of the buffet stops were very similar menus with rice, beans, cooked veggies and fruit. We had enough on-your-own meals to balance out the buffets but those buffets were all exactly alike. Overall, the tour was a nice balance of activities. However, it was awkward and disorganized to not have the tour guide, Viktur L. (from Swiss Tour) allowed at the beginning & ending dinners. He was wonderful and it was sad he wasn't at the farewell meal at the Radisson Europa.”
