Blackburn specsavers. Went back to get correct glasses. Was told to come back wednesday. I advised I finished work at 5 and they said fine we are open till 5.30pm so plenty of time. Got to the shop only to find it closed at 4.30pm so I paid for parking for nothing. Thanks specsavers for the wasted journey and expense. What a joke!!!!

Went to the Oxford branch. Optician was clearly in a rush and very grumpy. Despite being told there were plenty of appointments, I had to wait half an hour despite arriving early. Then pressured to buy the most expensive glasses.

Have been a customer of Specsavers for 4 years and generally been happy with their service. But was disappointed with the service today. I called into the local branch to get some help as a screw had come off the side of my glasses and all it needed was a new screw to be put back in. Was refused any help as the frame itself had not come from Specsavers and when I asked where I could go to have it fixed was told "I dunno".

Not sure how to start, but I just want to write my experience using contact lenses. I prefer contact lenses instead of the glasses but most of the times I had to wear the glasses because am a bit scared of using the contact lenses that I get from specsaver. When i try to get the left contact lense out, half of it gets out and the other half stays in, and hard to take it out. My eye turns red as I try couple of times to get it out . I had to wait at least 48 hours to be able to take it out. I wouldn't come and write this if this had happened once or twice but actually this happens like 6 times from every 30 pairs that I get monthly. The right eye contact lenses are fine and nothing happen but the left is the worse and it get ripped easily while taking it out. I wish that they get better and stronger daily contact lenses, not weak and cheap ones. My eye turns red and hurts and not sure what to do. Specsaver is only way I know I can get contact lenses from, is there anywhere else I can get them from I might be better to try different place. .....Left eye contact lenses are bad try to sort it out.

I have had contact lenses from Specsavers for many years. I receive them by post. Replacements have, until recently, always arrived before I’ve run out of previous supply. For the past couple of months I have run out before the next delivery even though I have not used more lenses than normal. So what’s changed? Not happy.

Went with my family to collect my sons glasses. No good welcome and no one asked us or offer us help every one today was working there was just walking around and doing nothing but laughing and talk to their colleagues and seemed to be ignoring us till I had to ask then was told I have to wait and some one will sort us out then we had to wait another 15 minutes standing and everyone just passed us and looking at us and not even to just smile to us and no one asked us or offer us help again till I had to ask then was told oh yah they're here and Finley some one serviced us .also was told my glasses will be ready 2day too from last week but it's not even been ordered yet for me. So its time to go some where else now when I will find more respect to us and to our time.

Recycling your frames Sir? Oh no! Buy another 2 pairs of the same frame. It's cheaper! Booked the appointment online which was very easy to do. On arrival had to fill out a survey that seemed geared to push for frame sales in it's questioning. Very professional eye test and given full explanation of the health of my eyes and what was needed. Staff very helpful. After my eye test I needed new lenses. Wanted one of my current pair of glasses to have just the lenses changed as I saw no point in replacing the frame. The frame is a current stock item. was told for lenses only it would cost me £398. Then I was told due to the 2 for 1 offer if I purchased 2 pairs of frames of exactly what I already have, would come out at £222. In this day and age of recycling why oh why are they trying to push out more frames when I already have frames that were fit for purpose and would then become obsolete for use? Even the staff member said it doesn't make economic sense! Politely told the staff member I will not be purchasing any lenses and not use Specsavers again. Thanked them all and left. Clearly Specsavers do not care about recycling or the needs of their customers and are mainly interested in selling their frames. They need to look at the cost structure of lenses only when the customer has a perfectly usable frame already, especially if it is already a current stocked item.

"Liverpool Norris Green branch. Previously I've always been happy with Specsavers. However, my new glasses (less than two months old) are faulty - one leg is damaged. These are the varifocals I use for VDU use at work (so not cheap). I've been told that my local branch of Specsavers cannot order in a replacement pair of frames specifically, and that I will just have to take pot luck and wait for 2 to 3 weeks until a delivery happens to have the correct pair of frames in. This strikes me as totally unacceptable; I spend up to 7 hours a day at work using a VDU and need the correct glasses.Staff rude and seemed untrained. No sense of humour, in fact damn rude. To me they need kessons in courtesy.

I went into Specsavers to find a decent pair of glasses. The staff found me a pair they said would fit but wouldn't let me try them on. Took them home, they didn't fit.

We have visited Specsavers Camberley and although they are very good at performing eye tests and helping with choosing and fitting glasses, the Contact lens department may need to go on a Customer Service refresher course. My daughter wanted to try contact lenses and had an introductory appointment in August 2018. At the appointment the staff member was extremely unhelpful and quite rude when it was clear that my daughter was nervous about trying contact lenses but was keen to overcome the fear of putting something into her eyes. The appointment was a disaster and I later complained to the Assistant Manager about this member of staff. He looked on the system and was able to see who the member of staff was and did apologise. He booked us another appointment for today and when we arrived we are assigned the same member of staff again! The way she spoke to my daughter today was completely unacceptable telling her that she lacked self confidence and that she was not trying hard enough so I stopped the appointment as my daughter was on the verge of tears and we left. I was tempted to cause a scene but felt this may distress my daughter even more so we left and booked a new appointment with Vision Express.

Specsavers Chepstow is like being on a conveyer belt, not a pleasant experience. I paidfor two glasses the readers were fine but the driving glasses were not as long distance was out of focus. Took them back and told I would have to come yet again to have another eye test. This would have me travelling back yet another time to collect the glasses when corrected. As we are leaving the country shortly have decided to give and get new glasses abroad as time is running out. Now they are not answering the phone so I can't cancel the appointment for the repeat eye test.

I have been with Specsavers for a long time, but after today. The experience I had with the one in Kingsbury, London was appalling. I went in there to get my prescription (when I rang in to the Specsavers in harrow who have my prescription they had told me I can get it from my local one as well as them at Harrow.) The man in the store he was wearing glasses, a little bit short. He seemed like the manager. However when I asked him he was like no we don't give out prescriptions, I told him the Specsavers at Harrow told me I can get it from here but he kept refusing to give it. Later on I went outside and rang up the Specsavers at Harrow to ask them if this is true that they cannot give it (to double check if I was wrong) they told me it wasn't true that I could get it from them. I went back in and gave the phone to the same man in the store, the lady at the harrow store told him that they can fax it to him, he then was like "the fax machine is broken". I find that hard to believe because my friend who had came with me saw a staff using a printer/fax. I asked him why he did not tell me this earlier before I spoke to the harrow stores. He didn't say anything. I am really annoyed at this. I was hoping to get my prescription today because I am going on holiday soon. Is it that hard to use a fax machine?! Why couldn't he have said it before?! The time when we went there it was around 13:40 on Sunday 28th July 2018.

Bought £40 specs for everyday use-light and comfy....but the right screw continually falls out of right arm hinge leaving me to juggle the gigs on my nose to read. Yes I know they were cheap but they shouldn't keep losing a screw.
