When boarding finally started, passengers were called and then forced to stand with their luggage for over 30 minutes while the staff showed complete incompetence and mismanagement. This is nothing short of customer harassment and pathetic service.
Passengers are paying for a reliable airline and professional operations, not this level of chaos, negligence, and disrespect. If SpiceJet cannot perform the most basic airline duties, it would be better for them to shut down rather than continue this embarrassment of a service.”
“Very disappointing experience with SpiceJet.
I booked tickets for 3 passengers under the “Happy Fares” offer and made full payment. However, the airline cancelled the flight just 2 days before departure.
During the refund, ₹1200 was deducted (₹400 per passenger) even though the cancellation was done by the airline.

I was traveling on SpiceJet flight SG874 from Mumbai to Bangalore, scheduled to depart at 1:30 PM. As I write this, it is 2:55 PM and passengers are still sitting inside the aircraft, waiting without any proper explanation or clear communication from the crew.
Being made to sit in a closed aircraft for hours is not just inconvenient, it is extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful to passengers’ time and money. This shows complete mismanagement and lack of concern for customer experience.
I strongly advise people to avoid booking SpiceJet. Honestly, traveling by bus from Mumbai to Bangalore would be a better option than going through this kind of mental and physical harassment.

I book my ticket myself only but never choose spice jet but this time got it done from agent and he gave me this ticket. They are like we won't provide you any service but we will take extra penny for each gram for luggage. And they are famous for their timing. ... Not in good sense . Flights cancelled and delays are normal for them. Suggest everyone don't go for this carrier. If you have to pay extra also go for either Air India or Indigo. Atleast they are giving service and not creating nuisance for each and every gram of luggage. Believe me they are just trying to make money from passenger in the name of extra luggage.

“SpiceJet is one of the worst airlines I have ever experienced. My flight was delayed FIVE TIMES, and I was traveling to Kozhikode for an urgent reason. They showed zero responsibility toward passengers.
No proper communication, no clear updates, no concern for passengers’ time or emergencies. Staff behavior was careless and unhelpful. Even after such a massive delay, no compensation, no cashback, nothing was provided.
This airline does not respect passengers or their time. Very poor management and very bad service overall. I will never travel with SpiceJet again and do not recommend it to anyone, especially if you are traveling urgently.

“Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience with SpiceJet at Kolkata Airport. My daughter was harassed and humiliated by the staff, who behaved in a rude and unprofessional manner both at the check-in counter and boarding gate. Despite her handbag clearing the check-in process, she was suddenly accused of excess baggage at the boarding gate and threatened with denial of boarding unless she paid extra.
Under pressure, just before departure, she was forced to pay ₹5,250, which felt less like a legitimate charge and more like an organized way of extracting money from helpless passengers. The entire incident reflects misuse of authority, lack of transparency, and complete disregard for passenger dignity.
This was not just poor service, but intimidation and exploitation. I strongly advise travelers to be extremely cautious while flying with SpiceJet and demand proper justification for any last-minute charges.”

“I had an issue with Spicejet in July. I reported a safety concern and sent a video. They investigated and contradicted what the video showed even though it was timestamped andbwas aboard the flight. They also offered no assistance when they cancelled a connecting flight and left passengers arrange their own way out of India as we had bo visas as transit passengers. They offered compensation which was less than the cost of international calls I made regarding the issue. I sent bank info...foolishly..and they did nothing with nothing deposited as promised. Not sure why they would do this but now advised to close.my account by my bank as they have all my info...would you trust them ?. Reported to Nodal Team, Appealatte Authority and Ajay Singh...no interest what so ever in customer care.”

This post is to formally highlight the continued non-resolution of my refund grievance with SpiceJet, despite repeated follow-ups.
The travel was impacted due to the demise of my mother, a situation clearly falling under humanitarian grounds. All relevant details were shared with SpiceJet through official grievance channels. However, there was no response initially.
Only after posting earlier on LinkedIn did I receive a mere acknowledgement email from SpiceJet. Since then, there has been complete silence — no update, no decision, no timeline, and no resolution.
In cases involving bereavement, airlines are expected to act with sensitivity, responsibility, and fairness.
An acknowledgement without action does not amount to grievance redressal.
I am once again requesting SpiceJet to:
Consider my case on humanitarian grounds
Process a full refund
Provide a clear written response with a defined timeline
Failing this, I will be compelled to pursue further escalation through appropriate regulatory and legal channels, which I would prefer to avoid.

“Worst flying experience. We were on the Dubai to Del flight that was supposed to be 3hrs and 20 mins as per the announcements. There was an hour delay at Dubai airport. Flight was diverted to Jaipur due to fog. We were in the plane for 13 hours. Stuck on the plane for o3 hours even after landing at Delhi airport. Waiting for parkyand coaches to arrive. “SpiceJet is essentially a flying bus, and not a tour bus, but a bus with rats nesting in the cassis, gas-chamber ventilation and malfunctioning AC that make you feel like you are slowly being poached. If your are 6’ and about 85kg like me, you may be cursed with one of the middle seats. Just be aware all of them are broken. You will inevitably wind up in an elbow war with the people next to you because they will also feel hot and territorial. SpiceJet rivals other Indian airlines that are no longer in business due to abysmal service. If Indigo is a used 2005 Maruti with broken indicators, Spicejet is an autorickshaw with a drunk driver at the wheel with bad gas and BO.”
