“I had one of the worst travel experiences with SpiceJet. As someone who frequently flies with Indigo and Air India for corporate travel, I decided to try SpiceJet and instantly regretted it. Despite having a corporate booking, I wasn't allowed to book a front-row seat. At the airport, I was told these seats are chargeable even for corporate bookings—something I’ve never faced with other airlines.
To make it worse, I was carrying a laptop bag and a small cabin suitcase, totaling just 11 kg—well within the standard 22 kg limit. Yet, I was charged ₹2,600 for "excess baggage" simply because I chose to carry both in the cabin, a completely normal practice among corporate travelers who value time and efficiency. The check-in staff never informed me of this rule when I inquired earlier about my seat, and conveniently waited until the end to drop this surprise.
The ground staff, especially the manager Mohammad Asif, was unhelpful and dismissive. When I tried to explain the rationale behind carrying both bags to save time during corporate travel, he simply refused to listen. It honestly felt like the airline was running a scam to extract extra money from unsuspecting passengers.
SpiceJet’s service is not just subpar—it’s exploitative. I will never recommend this airline to anyone, especially business travelers.”
“My tickets were cancelled without my permission and no information was provided by any means no email, call, message or WhatsApp that it has been cancelled. I waited with my checked in boarding pass at the boarding gate for more than 4 hours. The flight was delayed and then me and my husband were denied boarding at the boarding gate. It is harassment and cheating by the airline. To top it, no refund has been sent and we were blamed that we asked the airline to cancel our tickets in exchange for full refund. The staff is fraud and blames it's customers to make money by cheating. I will file a court case for the harassment.”

It's not even 15 days to the terror attack in pahalgam.. people are fleeing from Kashmir and spicejet is not ready to cancel by booking nor ready to provide me the refund.. this has caused me and my family lot of distress. “Horrible service with SpiceJet at Delhi Airport. At check-in counter, lady name SHIPRA was HORRIBLE. She was misbehaving and was very arrogant. Was not ready to listen. and said she is head of spicejet at delhi airport...which I knew she is not. She refused to call her supervisor to resolve the issue. I was traveling on 26-Jan-2025.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment my family and I received on SpiceJet flight SG3453 from Bagdogra (IXB) to Kolkata (CCU) on [date of travel]. We were seated in 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D.
The purpose of this letter is to bring to your attention the unprofessional and discourteous behavior of a cabin crew member named Kaveri, which significantly detracted from our travel experience. The specific incidents were as follows:
1. While boarding, my mother's phone camera was accidentally activated. Instead of politely requesting her to turn it off, the crew member aggressively confronted her, threatening a ₹1,000 fine and stating we were under CCTV surveillance. I wish to clarify that my mother had no intention of taking photos or videos.
2. Without proper communication, the same crew member removed my father's backpack from our overhead compartment to accommodate another passenger's luggage. When questioned, she simply stated "you need to adjust" without any explanation or courtesy.
3. When I had my phone on my lap, the crew member again accused me of taking photos and threatened another ₹1,000 fine. When I expressed that her tone was inappropriate, she responded unprofessionally, stating to my father, "I'm not being rude! Please tell your daughter I'm not her friend."
While I understand the importance of safety regulations and crew instructions, I believe there are professional ways to communicate with passengers that do not involve intimidation, accusations, or disrespect. This treatment caused unnecessary stress and embarrassment to my family and significantly diminished our impression of SpiceJet's service standards.
I would appreciate if you could investigate this matter and provide appropriate feedback to the crew member in question. I would also like to know what steps SpiceJet is taking to ensure that passengers are treated with respect and dignity.

I was just 3 minutes late to the check-in counter, and instead of offering help or alternatives, the staff demanded extra charges with zero empathy. “Read all the bad reviews of SpiceJet and here I am waiting for a flight that has been rescheduled over 4 hours with a chance of it being cancelled. Super frustrated. I had no other option since SpiceJet was the only flight flying directly to my destination. All plans had to be cancelled with so much of own cost involved.
