They have given me cover for some years now at a price that is not as outrageous as their competitors, so I stay with them. But their renewal quotation was 48% up on last year. This seems excessive. All right, I'm 91, but I didn't claim at all when I was 90 and visiting Uzbekistan, and am still in good health. I have no plans to leave UK next year, so the premium for that is much lower, but it's still 10 times higher than my daughter's identical one, also with Staysure. She is 'only' 52. The whole Insurance industry is very inflexible towards the maturer ages.

It insured us. But the procedure is appalling. I filled in the online questionnaire, but needed toask some questions, so I tried the chat bot, which didn't answer the questions, so I rang the phone number on the website. I was shocked to find I had to go right through the entire process of question and answer again, but this time on a very poor line, with a person whose English I struggled to understand. It wasn't just because I'm deaf, my husband couldn't understand either. After an hour the line went dead, but I was rung back, but it went dead again, and I gave up. I received a quote by email, but didn't want to pay online, so I rang again, ad incredibly, was made to through the entire rigmarole a third time. I have taken out the insurance this year, but shall not submit myself to this dreadful experience again next year.

Don’t expect cheap cancer cover, even if your condition has been stable for 3+ years. Cover for other travel mishaps is reasonable in price

Helpful and knowledgable person on the phone. However took nearly an hour to update medical history to reflect awaiting planned surgery. Process is too complex and bureaucratic such that this is not a good customer experience.

I found it a very long phone call with too many questions. Repitition of several questions and it was necessary to make a phone call to make the payment.

I had a claim last year that was handled efficiently. But the cost to renew went up by 25 per cent and I was disconnected twice after long waits to talk about renewal.

They didn't really. Already got a single policy but wanted a multiple one instead. Was told to go on the app. Couldn't understand how to change the locations. Ended up charged another £2 for changing my age on existing policy and £46 for new policy on top of existing one. Rang up and got to the point where I was told I'd have to pay £15 extra to do it on the phone and gave up. Very disappointed with the lack of help. We are not all internet wizards !!

The girl I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable about the subject we were discussing, we went through my policy requirements and was able to provide me with the right answers, the policy was a great price too and I took it immediately. Many thanks give them a ring folks you’ll be pleasantly impressed.

I found my call to staysure very stressful lasting just under an hour. The person I talked to became very agitated as I couldn't respond quickly and needed for him to repeat his questions. I found the whole procedure draining and would not use staysure again. These companies need to realise that the questions they ask are not always easily recalled and the staff should speak slowly and allow the customers time to answer.

Good price but the length of time to answer their questions and the number of times I was put on hold ?? Felt very patronised being called Mr (first name) just call me by my name which I asked, numerous times
