I have used Staysure for several years now and today was the first time that the representative explained everything I was purchasing .

The quote was good but details incorrect when policy sent, after a long conversation on line I asked for a refund as the price had changed. I tried to book a different insurance but despite repeated attempts the site just would not enter my age correctly no matter how many times I tried and despite having my correct date of birth! I would have like to have used them but far too exhausting to keep checking they have the details finally correct. I will wait to see how long the refund takes now.

I added 100 days cover last year at cost of £31.00 to my policy. You can’t do that now unless you buy the most expensive policy and the pay an extra cost of £100 on top of the expensive policy. Rather a large increase. I cancelled and went with another insurer with 90 days cover and all the same benefits but £100 cheaper!

Wanted to renew my policy and clicked on the button on the email reminder from Staysure. Thought it would be fast and easy but the screens that opened up were quite ambiguous. Why do you click on a screen to amend the policy when you simply want to renew. Wasn't clear how to proceed to renew so started down the amend route, and after loads of questions ended up with a quote a lot higher than that quoted on the 'invite to renew email'. Had to start all over again. Not needed to make a claim so can't comment on performance after purchase.

I had issues with the website - not enough prompts to disclose medical treatments not specified in the dropdown menu, a glitch in the autofill that showed an incorrect age which could not be altered. Also one medical treatment successfully concluded a year ago was enough to double the prospective premium - and not declaring it would have invalidated any claim. On the other hand, it was relatively easy to speak to someone and there was no quibble about refunding the premium I had already purchased.

I was unhappy that the admin fee was charged when I had no alternative except phoning due to a change in my husband's medical condition. I fully expected there to be an additional charge on the policy but felt it was unfair to charge the admin fee.

Reasonably straightforward and a good price. The only problem I had was changing my password. Followed the instructions precisely but after several attempts unable to change password so unable to get into all the details and small print, frustrating.

Stanley spoke and arranged my travel insurance via telephone. At no time did he push for a sale and I was as happy to proceed without th the quote.

Good as long as you don’t need to make any changes to existing policy. On the phone almost an hour , speaking to several different departments before finally successful.

I thought the price was good, so my son set up all up for me. On trying to see documents a day later I was unable to access them, being " unauthorised ", so at some point today I will have to phone them.

The renewal process was relatively straightforward other than the mail I’d received showed that my renewal was virtually identical to the policy cost last year, when in fact the price had gone up by £42. The cynic in me says that ‘error’ meant that I could have simply clicked the renew link thinking that the premium hadn’t increased. Also the process of discussing, taking out and paying for insurance can be as slick as you like but the only true measure of how good it is is when you have to make a claim.

I'm happy with Staysure, but because my son has the same surname they've mixed-up our accounts. Writing to Mr Oldfield at the same email address with different account numbers has caused confusion. I have spoken to someone at the company and it has not been sorted out....!!

Nothing is easy, but got there in the end, could not complete on line so had to ring up, unfortunately I had to give up and ring back again, so had to start from scratch even though they hady answers in front of them, but with a bit of toing and frowing I did get what I needed at a reasonable price.

We had to cancel our holiday because of a heart operation on 4th January 2022. Whilst I was in hospital my husband sent off all the relevant paperwork by registered post . There was no acknowledgement so two weeks later my husband rang customer services and was told it was on the system waiting for a loss adjuster to view it . One week later we had a letter from them asking for the paperwork sending again which we did straight away by email still no acknowledgement. We are now five weeks later after numerous emails and unanswered telephone calls and still no communication from them whatsoever. In our opinion the customer service is very very poor and leaves us in limbo and the feeling we will never use them or indeed recommend them

Dissapointed in Staysure. Both my parents are insured with them. My mum has just been diagnosed with something she's unknowingly had for years, yet they won't insure her for it. Their answer was to cancel her policy.

My current annual insurance finished on the 30th Sept, we are hoping to be away,so I asked for an early cost for the next year.so that I could renew early. Was told that was not possible, he said why don't you ring from abroad 3 weeks before the 30th and we can give you a price.!!!!!! Not very helpfull, may look for a new insurance company. You find out the good ones when you have a claim or a problem and how it's handled.

Be careful as for cancellation of your policy you can only get a voucher no refund!
