I was a shell broadband customer paying £32 31 a month. Talk talk are now my broad band provider without my permission upping my bill to£32 39. They are a complete rip off company so if you want to be ripped off beware.

Absolutely appalling, slower than an asthmatic slug carrying two very heavy bags of shopping.

The Internet access is probably similar in quality to other providers and is certainly cheaper. However if one needs to solve any problems or make any arrangements then it will have to be done via a call centre in India (to judge from the accents). This is horrendous! I took to timing and adding-up my phone calls and found it had taken over 7 hours to get one matter to completion. Granted the calls were free and I no longer have to earn my living. Now I no longer use Talktalk as my ISP - I am willing to pay 40% more to avoid having such frustrating experiences again. The operators are polite but they read from set scripts until they finally pass you to their "superior". Then the whole process repeats again and again and again until you finally reach someone with the power to act. Sadly they then make errors like misquoting the problem or passing it to the wrong people. Then you have to begin again.

Decent price and good internet speed, however when I've had an issue the customer service was ridiculously bad. They tried to charge me £40 for an engineer to visit to fix an issue with their box as they can 'no longer send an engineer for free' even though the tv box was faulty. Eventually resolved after 45 minutes on their internet chat, followed by a 45 minute wait to speak to a manger and a further 40 minutes of diagnostic checks.

Been with TalkTalk for several years now. In terms of price, I think they are hard to beat. In terms of customer service, they are apalling. I feel sorry for the call centre staff as they have to say what they are told, and handle irate cutomers without, generally, having the knowledge or ability to do so.And all in a second or third language. I renewed my contract in January, after many, often conflicting, conversations. Today, I received my first invoice under the new contract...I have been charged an additional £4;00, for TV. this is an old old box that I didnt ask for and don't want. When I queried the charge, I was told that it was for "multi room TV", which I dont have. It seems that all existing customers were charged this in February. Who Knows, who cares, its a company that seems hell bent on self distruction

Just when you think the customer service at talktalk can't get any worse, they prove you wrong. Unbelievable incompetence!

Just when memories of BT in '80s were fading, discovery that the poor customer service mantle has been donned by TalkTalk. disappointed
