Talktalk signed us into a new 18 months contract without our consent and now wants us to pay early termination fees because we are moving out of the country. Many other customers have shared similar experiences on their community website (google it if you want to read it). Service was ok in Edinburgh - except sunday night

Talk Talk wanted to book.me I for a free fibre upgrade. We finally agreed on a date where someone could be in as I work. I get a message on another date saying they were coming. I messges back and said I was at work and it wasn't the date that was agreed. I then got a Ryde phone call from the fitter arguing the point and so I send a screen shot of my agreed date. On the day, no one arrived to fit the fibre which I had taken a full day of work for. Just tried to cancel my contract via phone and the automated message was they had shut this line down due to illness ! I just want to cancel now, worse company I've ever had !

This is a terrible company This is a terrible company. They are uncooperative and do not listen. They refuse to cancel my account and harass me with tel. calls. Sorry I got involved. Massive HEADACHE.

When the broadband and routers are working, service is great. The router they supply is excellent and I get good connections in my average household. I have 3 contracts and have had issues with all of them. The issue comes if you have problems. Live chat is a waste of time, don't bother with it you will waste hours of your life. I spoke to a man called Thando who could not remember or understand much of what I wrote. I spent an hour with him on live chat to be finally directed to a Talktalk support website which I had used before I even spoke to him - I told him I had done all of the things already but he just made up some story about how it would be different this time. It wasn't. The only way to get things sorted in my experience is to use their community boards where they have staff and members of the public who are actually aware of issues and are able to book engineers, suggest solutions or send replacement routers out. So why have a live chat service at all? On the boards there are multiple reports of live chat being dire so scrap it TalkTalk - or staff it with people who have some ability to troubleshoot, and where their comprehension of English (particularly technical English) is better. My issues have been -difficulty getting an engineer booked for a fault on my phone line -less than half of the guaranteed speed for 6 weeks -router DNS issues (a firmware update for this has been promised for many months) -delayed go live date and waiting for auto-compensation I like the router that is supplied and the community boards are excellent. But getting issues resolved takes too long and live chat function is one of the worst i have ever experienced

My internet speed is OK and usually reliable but the customer services (or complete lack of them) is appalling. To get answers to anything other than FAQs I have to create a separate account on a public forum and ask fellow customers - how is that a service? Just found a £5 charge for a speed boost on my account that I do not want and did not ask for - having it removed is proving so painful I am considering leaving and looking elsewhere.

High monthly charges when out of contract No loyalty or respect for long standing customers Rude annoying overseas call centres Flakey internet connections No fibre upgrades for our local area or investment in infrastructure to bring us upto modern requirements.

Very unstable connection, bufferbloat is bad even with special routers to avoid it. It's ok for somebody who does not depend on the internet, but for whoever is essential, this is a total pain.. Forget to have a decent connection when you need it because when is peak time it goes down the speed to almost the minimum, high latency, high buffers. Ok for Netflix and watch some videos, not ok at all for gaming or voice calls and all the important stuff we do really need the internet for...

Unapologetically honest It takes effort for a customer to write feedback, and yet because of the quality of service, the unprofessionalism of the staff, and incorrectness of conversation outcomes, I have to write this. There is general incompetence with TalkTalk's call centre agents, who appear more interested in ending calls to meet targets than dealing with concerns diligently. Improper note-taking during calls leads to confusion when calling back to pick up on issues, including agents not knowing previously agreed contract terms. I received a letter, today, with my new contract details. It comes as no surprise that the letter incorrectly details the terms of the contract agreed during a lengthy conversation with a call centre agent. It is a cascade of one bad experience after another with TalkTalk.

Awful customer services, (all offshore) and the agents REFUSE TO DEVIATE from the script no matter what. Billing and accounts don't listen and the text messaging service is frankly useless. Expect to be on the phone for a long time, repeating yourself a lot and getting nothing sorted.

I have been a customer for 15yrs and was mystified to read the poor reviews from people who had problems. Now that I have had problems since September 2018 I know exactly what they mean! I have spent hours on the chat and phone with very polite advisors, but the resolutions are never permanant. Following three visits from BT engineers who identified line problems I had an actual Talktalk engineer visit last Friday. He carried out tests using his equipment and we both saw that I wasn't getting the speeds that I pay for. He tried the latest router - problem solved! Increased speed and no wireless drop off. He wrote his report into his Talktalk system whilst I was there and told me I would get a new upgraded router. Not recieved so today, another hour spent on chat, told me I couldn't have the upgraded router because they needed to carry out a new health check! Waited on chat for 20mins - to discover I had been cut off! It's now 3hrs later and there has been no attempt to contact me, and they obviously know who I am. I believe that they will leave me with this current situation and when it comes to re.newing my contract they will offer an appropriate router to achieve the correct speeds - but guess what I will without doubt switch!! Pleasant staff but sadly an appalling service.

Just spent 10 weeks abroad server stopped responding everyday!! Internet unbelievable slow, experienced this problem once before, now your changing the system once again, if this occurs once more, I will cancel my network provider!

I have been a loyal customer with talk talk for 10 years starting with line one then tiscali. We received a letter last month stating they were moving me to a new broadband package and adding extra charges to my account. I subsequently moved to sky broadband. Then I received a final bill with a contract breaking fee of £69! In anger I rang them up but got nowhere. I was passed from pillar to post. The guy in the call centre argued that this was correct and that the new package was optional. When in reality the letter didn't give me much choice. I ended up having to ask to speak to a manager over 5 times and eventually was put on hold for over 20 minutes when I gave up. I spent over an hour on the phone overall and came away with nothing. Don't use them you will regret it when you need to ring them up for anything.
