“They give you freebies but you have to spend a certain amount on other things. I just don't understand how it all works, I guess. Freebies, reimbursed, coupons, etc. I bought 2 things with the understanding that I got 2 freebies because I'm a valued shopper, then after I checked out they offer me 4 freebies but now, I gave to spend another $40 to get it. I just don't have that kind of money. I played both Farmland and the other one and I haven't been able to get the freebies. I've been at 95% there but have never gotten any farther on it. I give up. I do have 2 positive.s Their shirts and blouses are nice and the prices are great. They reimbursed me for a broken item but I didn't have to return it. I guess my frustration is the amount of money I have to spend and have never gotten the coupon bundle.”
“Found something I was looking for on temu. Clicked on it and onsite it says get it in app for free, so I downloaded app. On app it says reward expired. Then directs me to cheap products, I'm not interested in, that says buy these to get $ rewards. Just a bunch of sales gimmicks wasting my time without any rewards, this is why I don't shop with them!”
“directions on how to return multiple items on an order is not clear. It does say you should ship all together but does not allow for all items to be picked for one shipment. Very confusing and although I have ordered alot through Temu and like their product, it is hard to send back multiple items without getting a shipping charge.”
“Placed exact order within 24 hours on 2nd order they charged $17.72 more. They say they compare prices but I ordered from the same company. I talked to Sam an agent then within 24 hours a resolution agent asked the same questions that I already answered. So even after all that they act like they don't understand what your asking. “I was going to try Temu the offer to get a 3 pack of pants for free, no shipping and 5 additional gifts free. First the additional gifts had to be chosen from promo stuff like cheap jewelry and items that you don't want. After the 6 items were chosen it wouldn't allow me to check out until I ordered $60 in other items. After ordering a couple other items it took me to check out but the final check out had erased the 3 pack of pants which the only thing I wanted to begin with. I un-installed the app.”

“There are been some good things and there has been some terrible things. I still not have received my refund refund.
It has been over 60 days and they keep saying that it went to my Cash app…. No confirmation from Cash App for the refund. I sent all of the merchandise back and it was in great shape because I looked at it and sent it back. In package. I’m not even sure if this will make the review.”

Temu offers a decent range of items with fairly good pricing. When I first started using the platform, the prices were quite low, which was appealing. Over time, I’ve noticed an increase in prices, but that’s understandable. The initial requirement of a 100 AED minimum for checkout was also reasonable.
However, my main issue lies with their new “free gifts” scheme. To claim these so-called free items, users are required to play games like Fishland or Farmland. While it may seem engaging at first, the process quickly becomes frustrating. The games are designed to make you earn quick rewards initially, but as you near completion, the rewards significantly drop, making it harder to win the free gifts.
What’s worse is the time-consuming nature of these games. They encourage you to share the app, invite friends, browse certain pages, and spend a lot of time on the platform—all for a “free” gift. Honestly, it feels more like a ploy to increase engagement rather than a genuine reward for customers.
As someone who frequently checks out with carts exceeding 100 AED, I find this entire process unnecessary. If Temu wants to offer free gifts, they should make the process straightforward and hassle-free. If not, it’s better not to offer them at all. In today’s busy world, nobody has time to play games for hours just to claim a freebie.
I’d much prefer if Temu focused on offering cashback or discounts, as these can be easily used for future purchases without wasting time or effort.”
