“I essentially traded a couple of watches for a cpo Rolex. Layla was very good to work with, friendly and very timely with communication. The process was pretty smooth and there was very little inconvenience. Price was competitive, especially considering 2 year Rolex international warranty. I was very pleased with the transaction and am very happy with the "new" watch.”

“I’ve been working with The 1916 Company for some time now, and my recent experience with a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in white gold with the blue dial, reference 126509, really reinforced why I intend to stay with them for the long haul. This is a special piece for me, and it was handled with the kind of care and professionalism you hope for but don’t always get in the watch world. What I’ve appreciated most over time is that they treat the relationship as something to build, not just a one-off sale. The team has taken the time to understand what I like, how I think about my collection, and where I want it to go over the years. Conversations never feel rushed or transactional, and I always feel like they’re genuinely working with me to find the right pieces, not just the available ones. With the Daytona specifically, I’m very aware of how tight the market with Rolex is for the Daytona line, so I did not take that allocation lightly. It was clear that there was real effort and advocacy behind the scenes to make it happen, and it came together in a timeframe that frankly exceeded my expectations. The communication throughout was straightforward and consistent, which made the whole process feel smooth and respectful. Beyond this one watch, my experiences across other brands they carry have been similarly solid. Whether it’s discussing potential future pieces or revisiting ones I’ve been thinking about for a while, I always walk away feeling heard and well looked after. That’s ultimately why I see this as a long-term home for my collecting rather than just another store I’ve bought a watch from. If you’re someone who cares about building a meaningful collection over time, and you value clear communication, professionalism, and a genuine relationship, I’d strongly recommend working with The 1916 Company.”

Jose greeted me and answered all of my questions and also shared a bit of history of the Rolex brand. About a month later I got the call to purchase my first Rolex. “I have visited Rolex stores all over the world most of these stores did not treat me as a potential customer, but more of a bother. I was visting Denver and I viewed several watches I was treated very well by the sales associtate and ended up buying a certified rolex watch. Later in the same year I bought a second watch from this company. I was treated with respect and fairness. Finally, Juan Reyes called me and I bought a third watch. My first two watches were even nicer than I ever could have expected. I cannot articulate how much I have enjoyed my buying experience with the 1916 Company, I would highly recomend the sales people and especially Juan Reyes”

“How fortunate for Baltimore and the surrounding areas to have a world class jeweler just out side the beltway on Reisterstown Road. Easy, safe access with great parking. Friendly, knowledgeable staff offering a wide range of quality timepieces, quality jewelry, diamonds of every shape color and size as well as designer ladies bags. Incredible Rolex boutique and a huge preowned watch area. Full service location including expert repairs. If one has an item they wish to sell the 1916 company offers strong buy prices. One can spend minutes or hours in this special place. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. Talk about service I received a hand written thank you note after my purchases. Wow, Great job!!!”

“Any company is made up of its employees, and in the case of our two Rolex purchases, Alex Lazarus is at the apex of performing exceptional customer service. At the beginning of our search, we made attempts to contact in-store sales personnel, in which attempts were never responded to. We then made requests of store management to obtain assistance, which finally netted a phone call back with promises that a person would call. It was a phone call from Alex asking if he could assist, and subsequent conversations/emails that led to our purchases. It was very clear that his honesty, desire for a successful two-way outcome, and follow-up is why he is successful. Should you find yourself with the desire for a watch, Alex Lazarus should be your first point of contact, and if you do, you will find that you will have no need to look further.”

“I contacted August for a purchase of a pre-owned Grand Seiko watch on the company's website and it was a pleasure to work with him. He graciously offered to ship the watch overnight because the purchase occurred over a holiday. It arrived promptly and in beautiful shape!
