“This last order was better than Xmas one as mussels smelt off and one box of prawns had started to defrost also whole crabs in this order said may have been previously frozen ? All other crabs that I’ve had before where suitable for home freezing ! So had crab overload this time”

“All arrived as ordered, well packed and on time. Turbot was special, firm and fresh. Oysters were superb. Scallops were disappointing - with damaged flesh, hacked from the shell”

“Ordered a catch of the day fish box and some oysters. Oysters were fantastic and fish box would have been good overall value for money, BUT it contained two whole lemon sole which had lots of blood/liquid in the vacuum packaging and that smelled so strongly of ammonia even after washing and cleaning that we had to throw them away on the same day they were delivered - definitely would not have lasted the use by date that was 5-days away! Other fish so far have been good and variety of species is great - mostly portions though so do t expect whole fish ( apart from the lemon sole)!”

“The mussels and scallops were great however the soft shell lobster was a disappointment. The meat was full of water and when recovered was just a tasteless mush. Not good value for £39 approx., so we finished up making a bisque”

“I ordered 2 dozen oysters of 2 varieties but only was sent 1 dozen , which was very disappointing. I was only advised on the day of delivery, it was a shame that the missing dozen were not substituted or at least the option given to send 2 of the same variety . Those we did have were absolutely lovely, so fresh ! We will definitely order again , but would like to be given the option to make up the full order in future . Thank you 🙏”

“Good customer service when we needed to get in touch. The fish was lovely, we ordered the family box and some additional lemon sole fillets. My only comment would be that the filleted fish was very small, I suppose they are being weighed and match restaurant fish portions- maybe we have very large appetites in this household! I would say that the fish box probably provides up to 3 meals for a 4 person family though, not the advertised 4 meals for 4. We have not tried the fish pie mix or the frozen prawns yet, this will be the next meal.”

“Excellent service and delivery. The oysters and kippers were delicious as were the lobster. Just one complaint - there was a lot of liquid in the lobster, otherwise the rating would be five.”

“We ordered 3 festive fish hampers, 2 for gifts which were really well received, 1 fir ourselves. I was very impressed with the service you provided. You ensured we had our hamper by NYE despite your problem with oyster supplies. You also replied very quickly to my and my mothers email queries. The produce was first rate. The only main would be that the mackerel was low in weight. I’d order again for a gift and look forward to visiting your smoke house one day too.”

“We loved the seafood platter, even though there was an issue with the mussels! It was great to learn how to make the sauces and they added greatly to the experience. My daughter loved the prawns, I'm an oyster fan and my husband loved it all! Thank you.”

“Driver arrived 30 minutes early which was fine although I was still in the bath at 8.30am when he called. Ordered oysters, oyster knife, smoked trout fillets and beetroot gravadlax, the latter for Christmas but the use by date is 14 December, something the website could perhaps make clear. All good. Will be trying the gravadlax next week”
