“My daughter has some left from her purchase of SHADE product. We put the surplus through my short hair. The colour was good and covered my grey well. I purchased my own supply, a different colour though and I'm very happy with it.”

“The product smells and feels amazing. However, unfortunately it turned my medium- light blonde hair greyish/brown. I don’t blame the product, I just was hoping to blonde my roots a little like on the packet. So I do not recommend for making hair lighter. Will try for auburn colour and see how that goes. The packaging, postage and quality were all exceptional!”

“I used the pigment colour remover on some build-up from previous semi-permanent dye. It did a good job of bringing out the old pigment, but didn't quite get all of it. Unfortunately the toner I bought for afterwards was too light for my hair and didn't really work. Will be trying again with the next colour level down!”

“My colour arrived with its complimentary bowl, application brush & shoulder cape. The ingredients mixed & applied easily (I do would prefer a bottle applicator though) & the colour result was exactly as pictured. No allergic reaction or bad chemical smell.”

“The product it's self is ok ,it hasn't worked very well for my hair ,I tried to bleach part of my hair I left it in for 40 min but it only worked on some parts I has red in my hair which gave me a copper colour . I just ended up covering it with the colour they sent me which wasn't enough to cover all of my hair . This just hasn't worked out for me .”

“**Review: Excellent Dye Kit Experience** I recently tried this dye kit and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of both the dye and the additional accessories, including the cape, clips, and bowl. The dye applied smoothly and left minimal mess, making the process much more enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the inclusion of the special oil with the pack; it added a nice touch. The dye itself felt like high quality, but I did notice that the color turned out to be more red-toned than the golden shade I was aiming for. I’ll definitely adjust my choice for a different color next time. Overall, a great product! Highly recommended for anyone looking to dye their hair at home.”

“Truly surprised! I’ve been allergic to hair dye for 10 years and have tried other brands that claim to be ok for people who have allergic reactions, with no success. Hence why I was nervous to use The Shade. Purchased it in December 2024, and finally used it in April 2025 and absolutely no reaction!! ❤️ Gentle, low odour, doesn’t have that overpowering smell and has covered all my hair, including the greys, perfectly. The Chocolate Brown colour had a red/auburn tinge to it, which I wasn’t overly keen on, but I’ll definitely being using The Shade again, I just need to find a colour that’s a true warm brown without the red tint.”

“I do like the colours I chose, although my colour on my roots only lasted , just over 2 weeks, just did my second one on roots came out a little too red! Cause I mixed more of the golden brown instead of the light brown I don’t hate it but different. So my question is if I put light brown on top what do I get? Lol I did use the 27 as well so not sure when it will fade I do love the warmth with my dimensional coloured hair . Any thoughts feed back appreciated 😀”

“I’ve been using colour from The Shade for over a year now. I like that I can have it delivered ready for when I need it and the colour is always consistent and good at covering my early greys. As feedback, I would love it if there was an offering in the membership subscription to order 3 months at a time and remove the shipping fee as this significantly adds to the monthly cost.”

“Ive been getting hair dye from the shade for about a year. Love how simple the subscription is to set up (or pause), and the fact the products don’t have nasty ingredients in compared to other hair dye brands. The start up kit is great. Love the dye mixer & brush. The apron was a good idea but the part that has the velcro is uncomfortable to put on and leaves red marks on my chest as it is very scratchy. The hair colour i get is meant to be a cool darkest brown, but in the sunlight or warm indoor lighting my hair has a reddish tinge. Not what i want. So I’m unsure how “cool” this darkest brown colour actually is. But in normal indoor light (LED lighting) it looks how it should.”
