“I am still very happy with the color, however, lately, my hair in the back is very dry and frizzy. Any idea how to fix this?”

Hi Phannee, We're very glad to hear that you are happy with your colour, but sorry that your hair is feeling a bit dry. We recommend Tsubaki oil (100% pure Camellia Japonica oil) for dry hair. It suits all hair types and is brilliant for restoring strength, moisture, softness and shine to hair. It is a lightweight pure oil, which is easily absorbed by the hair and skin, and it is full of beneficial components such as oleic acid, proteins and glycerides. It is a deeply nourishing nutrient-rich oil that is free from fragrances, colourants, silicone and mineral oil. It is very helpful for dry hair (and it's my all-time favourite hair oil!). “I am very happy with how my hair colour turned out. Looks great and covered my greys and old colour perfectly. I was a bit disappointed that I sent a question in to the colourists and never got a reply, but I went ahead with colouring anyway and was happy with the result. Also, because I have very short hair, and because I read on The Shade's blog about using half a tube of colour and half a sachet of developer to cover greys, I did consider doing that but decided against it because I hadn't used the product before. When I squeezed out the colour, it was all pearlescent white except for the last two CM which were brown so now I'm not sure if it's actually advisable to use half a tube of colour, and half a sachet of developer, or if that would affect the result”

“Thankyou for curing my lockdown mane! I have a lot of hair, thick & long so needed extra colouring creme for full coverage. Really happy with my first attempt, some skill required for the back though. Love the Golden Copper Blonde that highlights my natural red & covers my greys 👏 💫”

“I have coarse hair with 70-80% grey. My daughter sent this to me whilst in lockdown. I’m really happy with the colour and it’s actually lasted for weeks! Normally with ‘supermarket colour’ I’m lucky if it lasts 2 -3 washes. Very happy”

“Love the packaging and delivery. Fantastic concept. a couple of things I'm not keen on, difficult to contact someone - a chat box would be ideal. Doesn't cover greys or my roots very well. And I can't find how to pause or cancel my subscription. I hate that.”

“The colours are beautiful, but the dye smells strongly and feels very drying compared to other dyes I have used. I'd love to see a foam dye option as well! With my very thick hair it is much easier to dye with a foam base.”

“I found applying the colour with the brush a bit difficult and messy. After rinsing and washing my hair the colour still came off on the towel, so maybe I didnt do it properly. But, in saying that, the finished result was really good, the colour was excellent and certainly covered the greys very well. My hair was soft and shiny. So I am quite impressed and am willing to give it another try and see if I can improve the application process with practice.”
