“I am not completely satisfied. It did not cover the gray, and the root remained darker even though I used the pre-paint as you advised me. Maybe I’m doing something wrong...Can you advice me,please”

“Love The Shade! The colour is lovely - no chemical smell and no itch. Love the starter pack too! Shampoo and conditioner are fabulous. I wasn't sure how it would work on my hair as it was very 'COVID'! I hadn't been to the hairdresser for 6-7 months for a colour and the roots were very grey - a mixture of colours - and the ends were, still are, very bleached. Photo of before with hair up showing the colour demarcations! I chose the very light ash blonde and it was probably a bit light but the developer worked well to open up the greys. Everyone loved the colour. Six weeks on and it is even lovelier. Looking forward to receiving my next order in the next few days. I am going to leave the colour on longer this time. Great experience. Delivery was longer than expected but it is COVD times so that's to be expected as I'm in Sydney and The Shade is in Victoria:-). Highly recommend the product and the service.”

“I'm genuinely surprised at how well this worked. I had been hearing adds for similar products, so I decided to give it a try. I read other reviews and got a colour lighter than was recommended. The little pack and colouring process was a lot more luxurious feeling than other box colour. The process was painless and easy. I was quite impressed with the colour. It matched my own hair perfectly, and hasn't transferred onto anything. I also noticed it didn't patch on my scalp or look blocky and monotonal like what I had previously used. I think my only drawback was that my ends did feel a bit dry, but I have very long hair and use specific products to treat it, so the provided shampoo and conditioner may not have been up to the task. I also wish the sample pictures of the colours weren't the same woman with the colour photoshopped onto her. Overall, I am very happy with the colour and will purchase again :)”

“The packaging, quality and smell of the product is outstanding. I love all the tools that are included which make it so easy to use, my only concern is that my hair seems to fade color with every wash and I can even see my towel stained after each wash.”

“I was really pleased with the quality of the product and the results. It seems on the face of it to be gentle and less chemical based and it has effectively colored my greys. As I have short to medium length hair, there is a lot of wastage with the color mixes, which seems to be a shame. But otherwise no complaints and very happy with the results.”

“After being in Covid 19 lockdown since the end of February my hair was a mess. Thanks to The Shade I was able to bring it back to life. “The Shade is a wonderful concept and I love the way my hair feels and looks after I have colored it. You get everything you need in the delivery, however a suggestion would be to make available an order for roots only. I feel it is a massive waste when I actually need to do my roots only.”

“What i'm looking for at the moment is a semi-permanent product that I can use between permanent dying. So if i use the permanent dye every 6 weeks, I would use a semi 'root cover up' product at the 2 and 4 week marks. “Easy to prepare/mix up in the bowl. The mix went on my hair nicely without any drips. There was plenty of mix for my hair length (a bit longer than shoulder length). I chose the Dark Brown shade, it ended up a bit darker than I expected but still nice. It covered all my greys coming through and easily did my roots. Conditioner afterwards was nice. Didn’t like the type of gloves supplied. Didn’t like using the included brush as the end had the hook, it should just be a point to help grab the hair to section. Having the hook was annoying.”

“i was a bit hesitant to order an online hair colour but, after chatting with the colourist and taking the advice and ordered the Amalfi - LIGHT BLONDE. From order to delivery I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the product arrived. I took the plunge and the result was not too bad. I was able to walk out with my head held high. My new regrowth colour and the previous blond foils that had been applied almost blend perfectly into each other. I have had people comment on the shine of my hair too which is always nice. Thank you!”
