“I love the advice given my the colourist. I decided to try demi permanent, as sick of the marked line when greys showing through. Love the results. Mixed the dark mahogany with some light ash brown I am trying to use up. Loved the results! Thanks!”

“I have coloured my hair for years at home and in salon. What I love about this product (Veneto 901 Lightest Ash Blonde as recommended by Camilla) is that it doesn't have that strong ammonia smell and the shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling and smelling great after it was all washed off. Hi Danielle, Lack of grey coverage usually occurs with porous hair, when the hair cuticles don't open to allow the colour to penetrate. If you wanted to boost grey coverage, then I would suggest that you add some heat to your roots for 2-5 minutes with your hairdryer while the colour is processing, which will help soften and lift the cuticle on your greys, which helps the colour enter to be deposited within the hair too. Pop a shower cap on your head after you have added some heat during the colouring process too, as this will help retain heat and soften and lift the cuticles of the hair which will then allow the colour pigments to enter to be permanently deposited within the hair. The above approach has been effective on even the most stubborn greys, and I am confident that it will work for you as well. “I have found my product. I have been colouring my hair for many years. As my daughter is a hairdresser and keeps me looking modern with her skills. I recently tried “the shade” products and my goodness. Such a beautiful product. My hair is glossy. Greys are perfectly covered. So after trialling my first purchase. “Ive been getting hair dye from the shade for about a year. Love how simple the subscription is to set up (or pause), and the fact the products don’t have nasty ingredients in compared to other hair dye brands. The start up kit is great. Love the dye mixer & brush. The apron was a good idea but the part that has the velcro is uncomfortable to put on and leaves red marks on my chest as it is very scratchy. The hair colour i get is meant to be a cool darkest brown, but in the sunlight or warm indoor lighting my hair has a reddish tinge. Not what i want. So I’m unsure how “cool” this darkest brown colour actually is. But in normal indoor light (LED lighting) it looks how it should.”

“Took the recommendation of the colourist and it did not work. I still have a dark band of colour through the second third of my hair which I was trying to eliminate, as well as hot roots. The gloves provided were very hard to work with.”

“Very pleased with The Shade. I purchased colour (brown) for my very grey roots and toner (ash brown) for my highlighted ends. I was initially nervous at touching up at home, but I’m extremely happy with the results and have saved myself hundreds of dollars! Product directions are easy to follow and I especially loved the cape that comes with the starter pack.”

“I loved the easiness of using this product. I love the colour but the and result was not what I expected. The roots went orange so I now have to redo them with more product but I found the smell very nice. I however didn’t receive any of the oil used to protect the ends so maybe the ends may not have frizzed as much not sure.”
