I have purchased two left hand Harley Benton guitars directly from Thomann. Both were VERY reasonably priced as well as built very well. Though the first one I bought took a while to be delivered due to stock shortages, their representatives communicated and kept me informed effectively. I am definitely going to buy more guitars from them. The value for the price is simply astonishing.

It started with a search for a bass guitar I found online in the States. I put it in my cart and when I went to purchase it, it said out of stock. I seached and seached for another one but to no avail. Eventually, I ran across Thomann's website who showed it in stock. I admit, seeing this particular bass in stock and ready for purchase had me questioning the validity of it. I spent so much time looking for one and seeing out of stock notices nation wide, I was amazed Thomann would have it but they did. I purchased the bass and within four days I was playing it. Avoid this retailer if you expect reliable after-sales service. I am extremely disappointed with the warranty support for my faulty guitar. Over a two-week period, I received three contradictory responses: first, that they tested the setup with no issues; second, that I simply needed to "adjust my tone" to avoid bricking another amp. and finally, an email ( which seems like AI generated pseudo-science) claiming my guitar and amp setup could never work at all. ever! At no point did anyone ask a single troubleshooting question to actually help resolve the problem. I’ve wasted two weeks dealing with inconsistent excuses while still being left with a non-functional instrument. Meanwhile the guitar manufactory has confirmed in writing that no such issues exist and the setup should work without issue. They have stated in writing that this is likely a faullt with the guitar and that the onus is on the retailer ( Thomann) to correct that. Order Number 202512.303044

I was searching for difficult to find lute music and found they had the items I needed. The shipping to the US was reasonable and the items arrived quickly and well packed. Our communication was prompt to confirm billing and shipping details and shipping was amazingly quick, better than firms in the US. I recommend this distributor of music for purchasers it the US. I am very satisfied with my purchases.

After a nightmare customer service experience with Sonarworks and their SoundID Voice A.I. product...I finally found the number of Thomann in USA- who took the time to listen to me...and offer understanding and help to get my refund. I am awaiting a final on this...but Thomann's warm and caring people put my mind at ease and gave me 100% supoort. Thank you Thomann Music!!!!!!!

Absolutely not recommended. Having spent thousands of euros (in the past few months alone) I won’t be buying from them again. Here’s why…. I paid full price for a lighting bar but received a b stock item. When I complained I was initially offered less than the difference. I’ve asked them to explain how this could happen that a b stock item (had missing/broken parts) could be sent as New and they couldn’t give me a reason. This is tantamount to fraud and I’ll be making everyone aware of this.

The entire ordering process was very straightforward. The website was highly usable and clear, as was the order-form. Prices seem reasonable, though I have not ordered many items from them. I am happy with the quality of the items that I've purchased, and delivery was prompt, appropriately packaged. There was a hiccup with a specific item that I ordered, but customer service was immediately responsive and courteous, and processed a replacement directly. I've never had any problems ordering from Thomann, and would likely do so again!

I just received a new Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-41SE WN from Thomann and could not possibly be happier with the guitar. It arrived in pristine condition and was set up perfectly out of the box. The guitar has a sweet and balanced tone and sounds like a guitar that costs significantly more. I love this guitar and highly recommend it to anyone who might be looking at getting it.

First off, they had a product I couldn't find anywhere else. On top of that, the product was far more reasonably priced than I expected--& the shipping was too! They shipped to me in Alaska when most sellers in MY OWN COUNTRY won't ship to me! Plus they got it here quicker than I would have ever gotten--again, from people in my own country (U.S). Lastly, the customer service team was friendly and on top of things as well.. there's nothing more I could ask for! I will definitely be looking for another opportunity to buy from these guys at Thomann again!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Thomann. My order was placed on 04/12/2025. The first shipment was lost. A replacement shipment was sent — and it followed exactly the same problematic route, ending up again with a local courier that had already failed once. What frustrated me the most was not only the delivery failure, but the way Thomann handled the situation: I kept receiving generic, automated email replies that clearly did not reflect the real situation. There were long delays between responses, even though the matter was urgent. I had to personally chase UPS and the local courier to find out what was actually happening. Thomann never proactively intervened in a meaningful way. I was left alone to manage a problem that was clearly not of my making. At no point did I feel supported as a customer. Everything could have been handled much faster and much more professionally, especially for such a large and well-known company. After one and a half months of delays, uncertainty, and wasted time, my order was finally cancelled on 20/01/2026. Only then did they proceed with a refund. This experience has completely damaged my trust in Thomann. I will not be ordering from them again, and I strongly advise others to think twice if their order depends on reliable international delivery and real customer support.

The On-Line processing was very good and easy, price was good, delivery time was as mentioned and the goods had strong box around the official packaging to prevent any damages in delivery. Reliable company which I can truly recommend.

Ordered a lute: "Thomann Pro Renaissance Lute 8 Courses" The lute arrived today on time and was very well-packaged. This is my first lute (I have more experience with guitar), but it appears to be very well made and extremely resonant. Very happy with my purchase. Customer support was responsive and helped resolve a routine customs issue promptly.

I ordered a banjo, shipped to Korea. There were some small issues before it could be shipped, and the Thomann agents were friendly, patient, and helpful as I resolved them. The banjo arrived in great condition, packed reasonably well, and ahead of schedule. The shipping cost was relatively low.

I bought an electric guitar that arrived broken. The seller refuses to replace or refund it and is showing obvious bad faith. The guitar came in its original box, placed inside a second shipping carton along with other products. As soon as I opened it, I noticed that the guitar’s box had already been opened. It is clear that someone at Thomann had inspected it before shipping. In addition, the guitar had been placed in a box that was far too large, with no protective padding to prevent movement or shocks — completely inadequate original packaging. The outer box, however, was not damaged at all, which clearly shows that the issue did not come from the carrier but from the way the parcel was prepared before shipment. I immediately sent a detailed report and photos, and contacted customer service several times. Each time, they asked me for the same information again. In the end, they claimed that the carrier was responsible and asked me to sign a document blaming them, which I refuse since they cannot provide any proof and all the evidence indicates that the problem originated on their side. They are offering neither a replacement nor a refund, and are trying to force me to sign a document that does not reflect the reality of the situation. Yet according to the law, any product delivered damaged must be replaced or refunded, and it is up to the seller to resolve any issues with their staff or their carrier. They are not complying with their legal obligations and are deliberately exhausting the customer to avoid taking responsibility.

I wanted to review the customer service that I received from Thomann. I live in the US, and I ordered a Tenor Sax for my son. I acknowledged that there may be additional duties and taxes, and I tried to account for that in my purchase. My order was placed on hold, and an export representative reached out to inquire about moving forward with the purchase since the tariffs might be excessive. When I inquired, I was informed that the current rate would be 55%!! I was not aware that if the horn is manufactured in China, it would have a different rate than the 15% that I had accounted for! I was able to cancel my order without any penalties, and I am soooo grateful that the service team not only placed my order on hold, but that they explained everything in detail and cancelled without penalty. I know there are many companies that would have just shipped the saxophone since I had to agree to additional fees on the front end, and I would have struggled to pay the tariffs and/or return shipping. Thank you! I would recommend this company based on their honest and highly responsive customer service.
