Purchased an Epiphone guitar from this company based on previous dealings with them which went without a hitch. Now I know, good company to deal with unless you have a problem and then that's where the customer service stops dead. Received the guitar on Friday the 23rd October. On taking out of the box I saw two huge cracks just behind the nut running down the back of the fretboard. I e-mailed Thomann right away explaining the situation and sending many photos of both guitar and the box. Neither the outer box or inner box was damaged and the guitar was well wrapped. I can only assume that it was shipped in this condition. I got many e-mails saying the pictures needed to be done again in all different ways So I did this. After three attempts they accepted the pictures with an e-mail saying "Unfortunately, from the pictures you have provided we can see that the guitar was damaged during transport" This is rubbish. here was no damage to the box. Anyway I asked for a replacement only to be sent 5 different forms which needed 3 to be completed by me and 2 by the post office who delivered the item as I was told it was them who damaged the goods???? After 3 hours driving to 3 different post offices I sent the paperwork back to them. Another e-mail saying the forms weren't filled in correctly so more form filling. Eventually I was told that a replacement had been sent by the fastest method on 7th November. I received the item on the 19th. They call that fast? Bottom line. Avoid like the plague and pay a bit more and buy locally. You wont regret it.

The worst customer services I have ever used. They are arrogant and take so long to resolve anything I really cant believe it. I am not exaggerating, my problem has gone on for months, they made big mistakes but did nothing to correct it, they refused returns without original disintegrated packaging that was so bad the product was damaged twice in the post. They accidentally gave me a refund and asked for it over a month later which was news to me. In that time I had been made redundant and didn't received my last 2 months wages and the money was gone, when I offered to send it back they was refusing to accept it, then they changed there mind but wouldn't take responsibility if the package was damaged when I had no packaging and ignoring the fact that the original packaging was useless in the first place. I am struggling to pay and I got some money together and I owe them £10. They gave me a grace period and then took it away threatening to take it to a debt collector! I will never ever use Thomann ever again. They don't show any empathy. Avoid these and use a UK company.

Claim limitations on EU Regulated right to return. Have used a few times OK, but suddenly, are denying the EU ‘right to return within 14 days’ applies to drumsticks, which frankly have quite inadequate descriptions, and are most definitely not covered in the EU consumer regulation exception list. They claim, the big logo 2 year warranty and 30 day returns guarantee logos right next to the checkout button have exceptions and we the customer should know. Buyer beware.

This company has the worst business model I have ever experienced! I made a guitar purchase in December 2019 and was told I would have it in 7-10 days, it was almost 4 weeks when it arrived they were not truthful about were the problem was and kept blaming Customs. I made a second purchase in April and was told arrival time was increased to 3 weeks because of Covid. It finally arrived in august, I refused it and it was sent back because I no longer needed it. I made a final purchase and never received a confirmation so I inquired and received an email stating it would be forwarded to the correct department, two days later I received another email stating it was being forwarded to the correct department. At this time I decided to call and I was first told there was a problem with my credit card but there was not and on my statement there was a charge pending plus I had authorized the confirmation from my credit card company at that time, more lies! What actually going on was they had never resolved the returned item, which is bizarre. And now the item is out of stock. I'm done with Thomann, they are a terrible company to do business based on my experience and apparently many others.

I've used Thomann earlier this year, and had no issues what so ever! I enjoyed their service and decided to buy something in July with some money that I saved up! My package took over a week to ship even though everything was available, and once my item "left" Frankfurt, I never heard from it again. After over a month of silence, I contacted Thoman a couple of times, and they finally found the package in my capital city in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. "Finally!" I thought as the package will only take a day or two to be delivered to my city (I don't live in Riyadh). Sadly, I have yet to receive my package and it's been held under customs for two weeks which is insane. I've contacted Thomann and so far, there customer service team is alright, but their shipping method is just horrible, and if I've know that it would've taken over 2-3 months for this package to arrive, I wouldn't have ordered it. Right now, I'm still stuck waiting and I was told the package might take 2 months to leave customs??? Like what is it going to do in customs in 2 months??? So yeah, until I receive my package, I will warn people to be careful and to be mindful that their shipping will probably cost you a lot of time. Blaming covid on the shipping delays is kind of stupid because that's a cheap way out on escaping customer's concerns. I will probably never use Thomann if my package doesn't come by the end of this week, and if anything is found damaged, I will use their service again.

Worst online buying experience EVER IN MY LIFE! Parcel NOT Receive. Thomann hold my money 2150 EUR and ask me to wait for 4 months for a refund. (Do I look like MONEY LENDER to you?!) WORST Customer service EVER - No Followup - Fraud shipping - DHL (The shipping Thomann use is the cheapest which takes 3-8weeks to arrive). Not DHL 7- 10days - No resend parcel, Accuse my custom IS holding the parcel - Ask to wait for 4 months for nothing. - No compensation, apologies or whatsoever - They just felt sorry for what happen o They just told me parcel lost(after 4 months), will refund me in a few days(waited for 2 weeks). o Won't ask for resend parcel o End of story? Are we even doing business here? One time dealing? OK, Am I buying cheap $100 china product? 11 March Ordered & Paid and using DHL as shipping. Estimated time arrival is 7-10 days. 24 March Tracking still display that the item is in germany. Contacted Thomann and was told there is delay due to Corona Virus. It may take up to 3-8weeks for the item to arrive.(My parcel from USA using Fedex arrived within 1-2 weeks during this time.)(My guess is Thomann lied and used the cheapest shipping method (30-60days), DHL usually take 7-15days to arrive at my country). 14 April Tracking still not yet updated. Contacted Thomann , they said they have asked DHL to investigate the whereabouts of the parcel. 24 April Still no updates. Contacted Thomann ,They accuse my local custom is holding the parcel. 2 May Contacted Thomann , was told investigation will take up to 2 MONTHS! 3 May Contacted my local custom, was told there's no parcel from germany. 1 July Contacted Thomann again. Was told the parcel is lost and they will refund me. 8 July Contacted Thomann was told to wait for official result for refund. 15 July finally receive the refund (-$38 due to exchange rate.) HOLDING MY 2150EUR FOR 4 MONTHS & 6 DAYS NOW I LOST $38 DUE TO EXCHANGE RATE & THE RENTAL MONEY WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR PARCEL! THANKS FOR NOTHING THOMANN. WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOU AGAIN!

I ordered over$500 of equipment . They shipped it a week after their expected ship date, and it sat in Frankfurt for over a month. I let them know that I am moving, to please assist with rerouting the package or cancelling the order. They take weeks to respond. Its always someone different rersponding. To give you an example, in one chain of emails with 3 emails from them, I have 3 different users writing me. Victor Batalla Huergo , Susanne Sting,Kerstin Essel, Neil Ferret. Absolute hot flaming garbage of customer service and communication is just as bad, considering the shortest amount of time its taken them to respond to an email is 4 business days. Don't order anything from these people

Ordered a Gewa Novita Electric Violin at the beginning of May, I sent a bacs payment as they said my two attempts at paying by credit card had failed, even though on the second attempt I had contacted my card company and they said there should be no problem. A week later I received the violin but on inspection found a crack in the wood where the chin rest was attached. I reluctantly contacted Thomann to arrange for it to be returned and asked for a refund, as I felt that after prolonged use the crack would get worse and there would be no way of fixing it. Thomann wouldn't give me a refund and said they were sending a replacement which arrived a week later. I was very excited that it had come as after a lot of research i felt this one suited my needs. Low and behold this one had a similar crack. Keeping a very long story short, on both occasions Thomann blamed the two delivery companies for the damage, wanted photos of the damage to the violin and boxes emailed to them, the emails they sent were standard like they were used all the time, not once have i received an explanation or apology. I again requested a refund, which according to their terms and conditions can be arranged either on receipt of confirmation of return, which I sent them, or on receipt of returned goods. They received the violin on the 2nd June, they told me it would take 5 to 7 days to receive the refund in my bank, almost two weeks later I am still waiting. I can't decide if Thomann are just arrogant, incompetent or both. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

I was constantly on the phone yesterday (29/04/20 ) to try and buy a B stock key board Also I was trying to find out if the extended warranty covered the pickup and return of the item if faulty . The customer service or sales department could not answer but after pushing the question I was then informed that they would send a returns label and I would have to carry this full size keyboard to the local ups office or a post office. When questioned further the girl at customer service said that I would be able to carry this item quite easily.and this wouldn't be an issue ??? The sales department could not answer any technical questions . The staff were in my opinion very abrupt and rude and unhelpful and would not give a first name unless pushed . I had been working at the Nhs for nearly 36 hours on this day and the previous day ,(28/04/20) If I treated or spoke to clients in such a way I would have complaints raised against me . I will never ever recommend or use Thomann again. I advise that others think twice before giving them any custom. I phoned Dv247 who are also based in Germany but with a uk contact number and received excellent service . They will pick up and drop off items by courier with the extended warranty .

U.S. buyers beware: Today marks day 49 waiting for my order to arrive. Order placed on 3/12 and processed the next day. Even after talking to every person in logistics and customer care, they refused to resend a guitar that was less than 200.00. DHL had me request Thomann to open a missing parcel case to investigate (Thomann agreed to open a case on the third request), their response was that it was loaded onto a plane and confirmed landing (they could not give me any correlated evidence for this). I waited three more weeks and opened a case with US customs who CONFIRMED that my parcel associated with this tracking number never left Germany. After relaying this info to Thomann, they explained that when parcels are missing; they will not resend or refund until they have received the insurance money to cover themselves. The guitar was still in stock at this point and I pleaded my case that I just wanted to receive the guitar, to please just send another....they declined. The guitar is now on backorder for months, they sent a refund, absolutely horrendous affair. Sad part is that I still want the guitar, bummer. To add: I am fully aware of the logistics nightmares that the covid situation presents, which is why I was very understanding. Talking with a half dozen reddit users who ordered around the same time or after me all received their parcels in 7-11 days.

To sum it up: Terrible communication, ignoring my questions. Their prices are bad as you end up paying a lot more than advertised. I waited almost 5 months on my order and ended up having to cancel it and losing £30 for making the mistake of shopping with them. I preordered the MFB synth pro from Thomann back on November the 22nd having been told that it would ship late December, this got pushed back to January because of the manufacturer, when it came to January they pushed it to February saying that it was due to the manufacturer and yet other who had ordered after me (I speak with them on forums) had been receiving theirs. When trying to speak to Thomann about this I kept receiving generic responses not actually addressing any of my questions always with the same general response saying it wasn't their fault and there's nothing they can do. So in Late Feb 3 months after ordering I finally received the synth and it was faulty! I contacted Thomann about this and said that after all this waiting I didn't want to send this back to then have to wait several months before before receiving my replacement. They reassured me that they had another on hold for me which would be sent out when they received the faulty one back and so I shipped it. When they received it they then told me that I could expect my replacement in March a month later! and then when it came to March they told me April.. again meanwhile other people were continuing to receive their orders which had been made long after me. I decided to cancel my order as it had become a joke with how they had been handling this entire situation (their communication is beyond a joke and it is infuriating sending them a question 5+ times before they actually answer the question rather than just sending back a generic response) When I eventually got my money back from them, it was £30 less than I had paid. I had been charged a processing fee which hadn't been mentioned by them and I didn't get this back. When speaking to them about this they refused to give me that money back saying that it was my banks fault (I've never had this happen with any other company than Thomann) I'll never be ordering from Thomann again, their customer service is beyond awful, their prices are falsely advertised and they just straight up lie to you. I'm surprised they get away with how they operate as a company.
