“In Sept 2023 I ordered the EXTREME HD STUMP BUCKET TREE SCOOP and it arrived in good time. It was delivered on a pallet and wired to a steel frame.
It sat for about 6 months because I had other work going on. I finally "unboxed" it in March 2024. It was pretty straight forward - I removed the wire that held it to the frame, unbolted the frame and released it. It was upside down on the pallet, probably so that if it rained it wouldn't fill with water. Turning it over was pretty easy usiing the tractor and a heavy strap, I put the strap over one side and just flipped it over and off the pallet.
Once it was right-side-up I lowered my tractor's loader quick-disconnect and it was a breeze to lock it in.
Let me say that this thing is HEAVY. When it was on the pallet I couldn't move it a 1/4 inch. On the tractor it gives some serious weight to the front end - I left the heavy box blade on the back to counter-balance it.
In the garden I went right to work and quickly dug 7 holes to plant fruit trees. We live on a mountain and our soild is about 1/2 rock - digging a fruit tree hole with a shovel and pick takes 4 hours, 1 hour with a jackhammer. With this bucket stump I could dig a hole in 5 to 15 minutes depending on how many bowling ball sized rocks I hit.
It took a little while to learn how to use it, it is big enough that I couldn't see past it without standing or leaning over - in time I learned how to dig by feel and by the 7th hole I was digging a 2' cube hole in minutes. I plan to dig some light trenches to lay conduit later and based on how it performed on the tree holes I'm sure it will work just fine.
All and all I'm impressed by its weight and durability - the teeth and body are very thick and heavy duty - I'm sure it will last for years. I was pleased with the shipping and follow up by the company.”
