“I ordered a Christmas wreath some time ago for my daughter in Toronto that was delivered on November 16. The problem was that they sent a flower arrangement instead of a Christmas wreath. When I contacted Toronto Blooms, they requested the order number & a photo of what was delivered. After I suppled that, they in essence said to read the fine print. It is understandable to substitute a somewhat similar flower arrangements for what was ordered but not flowers for a Christmas wreath. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from Toronto Blooms again!”
“Horrible experience, paid for something much larger than what was delivered. When I contacted customer service they advised that they substituted based on availability, which is completely fine as long as it is comparable with what we paid for!! What was delivered was on their website but $30 cheaper than what was purchased. They have provided horrible customer response as well.
Don't believe the reviews on their website, they dont publish the negative ones!”
“I had a particularly frustrating experience with Toronto Blooms after having ordered a lavender plant with a honeycomb pot and a fresh pineapple for my sister who was ill. The order was a day late, and they sent an orchid instead. I emailed them thinking they had sent the wrong order. They responded saying that sometimes when stocks run out they send something "of equal or greater value... AS AGREED TO" by me apparently so that the order I arrives on time. I explained that the order arrived a day late and that the recipient doesn't even like orchids. They sent the same template response. When I asked to speak to someone else who can help me, they ignored my email. When I followed up, another person responded said no one else will give me a different response.
A waste of money and rude customer service.”
“Absolutely terrible service to the point of a scam, they changed my order without telling me then refused to change it back, exchange it or provide a refund. Do not order from here unless you want to go through a credit card chargeback, most of the reviews online are fake/paid”
“If I could give zero stars, I would.
I love giving gifts - they took away my joy with their TERRIBLE SERVICE
I will admit that the flowers were absolutely gorgeous and delivered with care on time.
However, I went out of my way to order specific extras suited particularly to the recipient. The package arrived with substitutions (not one original item!) that were not at all similar to what I had ordered, and of lesser value than the ones I ordered. I reached out to ask for help. No worries - mistakes happen, and substitutions need to be made. But I was upset at the quality of the substitutions.
The customer service from this point was TERRIBLE. They completely ignored my questions or concerns, even though I didn't even ask for a refund - only to see the invoice for the products sent and to see if there was a way of correcting them. I could have bought the substitutions at the grocery store on the corner, unlike the artisanal products I thought I had been getting. I was repeatedly ignored, and the representatives were extremely rude. Repeating Terms and Conditions to me over and over again like I didn't understand. Once I realized the game they were playing, I told them that I believe the terms and conditions had been violated by them.
They claimed the substitutions were of equal or greater value. When I said that I disagree I asked to see proof. I was told off and then ignored. I was only trying to do something nice for people who were helping me through a hard time, and yet purchasing from "Toronto Blooms" only led to more stress and exasperation for me. Why could they not just show me the cost of the substitutions?? That's all I was asking in the end. And I don't think it's too much to ask
There was absolutely zero personal touch, just robotic answers, and no willingness to help. No one contacted me to let me know that there were substitutions occuring and if they would be acceptable. What if there were allergies that hadn't been considered? They didn't even ask to find out. They immediately went to quote Terms and Conditions. To me this is the mark of a scammy company. The website makes them look local, but I would not be surprised if it is a big online empire that hires out its customer service and doesn't actually care about providing good/quality service.
This really took away any joy I had in gifting flowers, and made me regret trying to be kind in the first place. Great job Toronto Blooms - you achieved the opposite of what your "purpose" should be.”
“ordered the flowers couple of days before the date I requested to be delivered and I am extremely disappointed from your company!!!! They delivered the flowers late evening and did not even ring the bell just left it in front of the door… what a horrible experience!”
“Toronto Blooms is a scam. Don’t trust what they say in their “Customer Speak”! That is a lie.
If you want to order something and receive a completely different gift, work with this company! On Sep.20 I ordered a gift for my sister in Germany including some flowers, a card, a bottle of champagne, and a teddy bear. My sister received a gift box the Next Day of my request date including a bottle of champagne, a card and a bunch of chocolates and cookies!!!!! No Flowers, No Teddy bear!
This company changed my order totally without any notification. No emails! Nothing! I called the customer service a few times, No RESPONSE!!!!!!!! Always they say: We are busy and leave a message! Never replies!
Also, they charge you for delivery quite bit! First, they charged me $50 then they say you might be charged more. I received another $23 charge for the same delivery. (TTL $73)
I don’t recommend Toronto Blooms at all. Don’t trust what they say as “Customer Speak”! I sent my comments to them, and of course they didn’t publish it!”
“I would not check this star. Horrible service!
I didn’t receive what I ordered. I spent more than $70 and they sent a plant that looked like something you could buy at a supermarket for $10.
I left numerous messages and no response.
Buyer beware!!
Do not order!
Their products are deceiving. They care more about their profit than their products and customers!
What a shame especially during a time where people are suffering financially and they spend their earned money to comfort a friend in need with a plant only to see a disposable product!
Never again!”
“I placed an order $400+ and did not receive most of what I specifically ordered. They replaced items with substitutions however, some items that were not even close or even reasonable substitutions. We are horribly disappointed that they managed to ruin the wedding flowers for our bride's special day. There is no communication regarding orders that they cannot fulfill correctly, they simply substitute with whatever they like and keep your money. Buyer beware I guess is what I am saying about this company as now I am not only out that money but having to struggle to find what we need :(”
