Absolutely disgusting, filthy place, would not recommend this place to anyone, wouldn’t have thought Travelodge would want to put their name to this place, would never go back

It was very disappointing - grubby, scruffy, in need of some updating. Staff not very helpful. Unfortunately we had a 2nd booking which we could not cancel. I have never downrated accommodation before, but this one was well below par. Not value for money at all.

I have tried to contact Travel Lodge both directly and I have completed 2 enquiry forms spoke to travelodge who advised me to complete forms. We stayed here on 15th July for 1 night when we booked in we were told we had 4 rooms booked I only required 2 rooms the hotel would not help they gave me a telephone number which I have not ever been able to get through as it says the number does not exist. I am still waiting responses from the 2 enquiry forms. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONTACT ME. Tina Welland

We have stayed with Travelodge previously and not had any issues however this time when we arrived we noticed a horrible fleshy looking stain on the wall that my partner had to wipe off, the bed was full of bits and stains from the previous guests, there was mould starting to show through on the ceiling and dust everywhere. As an asthmatic I struggle with dust. The corridor we were in was also very noisy with children running up and down until quite late at night. We raised our issues with the reception staff who assured us that she will get a cleaner to come straight to us in the morning. She also offered us complimentary breakfast but given the state of the room we refused to eat there. She didn't offer us a refund on the rooms as we just wanted to book a different hotel and leave there completely. We went out as we had a day out planned and got back to the room at about 9pm, only to realise they had done nothing about it. The initial woman we spoke to was really helpful however the rest of the staff she handed over our complaint to were hopeless and did nothing. I will never stay with Travelodge again.

I raised a complaint in regards to the accessible room on 12/08/23. I was advised by the reception on checkout that 50% e-voucher would be requested due to issues with our room within the next two weeks. So far there has been no contact and I was told that if nobody has emailed me call the hotel which has been impossible to reach. The following issues at the room were the following. 1. We booked a double accessible room, I have a spine injury. On arrival the bed looked fine and put together, however, when we went to bed they were not locked together, so if one of us moved you would fall in the gap and be wedged in the mattresses as they are single beds put together. When I raised the issue at check also explaining I have a spinal injury the receptionist told us we were expected to put the beds together. I have previously stayed at the same Travelodge and this was not the case. How can Travelodge expect disabled customers to fix the beds together. It was not a good night's sleep and we left as soon as we could in the morning. I was also found it disgraceful that the reception on checkout blamed the check in staff for not telling us about the bed. It's concerning that there is an option for either a double or single on booking and then being told you have to put the beds together, lock them in if you are disabled. The second issue was the blocked sink an stench coming from the bathroom, as we went out this was noticed until the middle of the night as we went out after dropping of our luggage and the lingering sewage smell was throughout the room. I had to buy my own toilet cleaner and detol to clean what I would describe as a room below standard and should be taken out of service. The checking in staff were extremely helpful and friendly and that's the only reason for 1 star

Big issue with check in, we had booked a twin room as a queen/king and pull out single, but on check in were told this room doesn't exist. We were lied to being told there were no family rooms available and 8t would cost us an extre £10, yet online family rooms could be booked for only £3 more than we had paid. In the end they reluctantly gave us a family room at no extra cost but the entire check in took an hour to sort. The travellodge was conveniently located, and parking opposite on the Salinsbury car park paying online is vey convenient and reasonable £7 for 24 hours.

We stayed at the York central micklegate Travelodge. We were put in a room right near to where everyone has breakfast so it was very noisy. We realised this just after booking in and we asked at reception to be moved to another room but was told by the receptionist that there were non available but to ask again the day after. But by then we would have unpacked so would of had to pack up to be told again that there was no other room available. Also the receptionist was eating a pizza at the front desk with 2 colleagues while the receptionist was checking to see if there was another room available for us to move too. and I also heard another member of staff ask which room they were sleeping in tonight. So the staff member was allocated a room but there wasn’t a different room for me and my husband to stay in. I felt like the receptionist couldn’t be bothered with my complaint and just dismissed me just so she could carry on eating the pizza. I felt like this was very unprofessional as well. It puts us off staying there again. We have stayed at quite a few travelodges over the years and have never known the breakfast room to be on another floor other than the reception floor. This should of been stated at the time of booking that the room is near the breakfast room so will be noisy in the mornings. If this was stated at the time of booking we wouldn’t of bothered booking 2 nights there for my birthday. It was very noisy and we got woken up early by the noise when we were trying to enjoy having a lie in. We were very disappointed by your hotel and customer service at the reception too. It doesn’t give us much hope if we stay with another travelodge again in the future.

It was OK in places booked super room which cost so much more I'd like to know what you are supposed to get for a superoom. Firstly no tv remote had to go to desk for a remote which means when it was cleaned it wasn't checked no tumblers in bathroom as is normal only noticed that now getting up 5:30am only 2 wine glasses? Booked in with my domestic pet which I paid extra for what did I get for that extra nothing? Would I ever book a superoom No can't see the point

I have stayed in serveral l travel lodges over the years and some better than others, Sadly the Travelodge M6 Carlisle was the most disgusting I have ever been in, The first room l was in the carpets were disgusting and when l went to reception to ask for a plug, sadly they couldn't provide me with one, so l was offered another room, l will say the carpet in the second room was better, the whole building is in a poor state, also the smell inside and outside I'd discusting, This is no doubt a busy travellodge and for the cost l paid for one night £119 for me and one dog it really needs updating, l will never stay in it again

I prebooked breakfast, nobody told me that the breakfast room and dining area were undergoing major modification and would not be available. I was told there would be an email confirming that a refund would be given there was no email I phoned Filton and was given a service number to dial, this service number couldn't do anything but tried to phone reception and were unable to get through. I want my money back for the breakfast I never had
