Stayed here last night for work. There used to be a minimum standard with travelodge and premier inn. Having worked away a lot over the years you knew what you were getting. Unfortunately it seems that doesn't apply to travelodge any more. I haven't marked them down on the fact that they're having work done on facade because it's necessary but the overwhelming damp smell through the hotel needs addressing. I am working on a long term project in the area and I wish I had spoken to other people on site as it seems this has been the issue for a while in fact one coworker told me when his company booked him in a short while ago there was water running down the back wall in reception. I would imagine there is no checks done on a regional level (or no adequate checks) It seems to me these days that the hotel seems to be a reflection of the town it's in (slough is rough). They should be a set standard regardless of location. That's how you maintain reputation.

On arrival at our room (6) we were knocked over by a bad smell in the room, which we thought was coming from the sink drain in the bathroom. The attendant from the front desk came and could also smell the pong, and as there were no more rooms to move too said he would inform the head office. It was not until we changed and got into bed we realised the smell was coming from the duvet and sheets !!. the man at the front desk gave us fresh ones, but the night before our daughter's graduation was ruined.

The internet booking was horrendous- I don't use PayPal or Apple Pay and just wanted to pay by card. I ended paying twice for the same booking when your website kept telling me "payment had failed" ! Had a call from my bank who suspected some nonsense was going on and they had to cancel the 2 bookings and led me through the payment again and waited for me to complete it properly. A total nonsense, and frankly an appalling payment system. A waste of my time. Look forward to your response

Cannot write a review as we were so annoyed to see the state of the travel lodge we did not book in .The person we dealt with was very pleasant .He showed us the room and no way could we stay in the room it was dismal and so cold .My husband has angina and severe cold triggers an attack I knew he would be ill if we did book in .Also the smell was awful we think it could have been your drains outside .I have never in any travel lodge or hotel seen such a dismal run down building it was appalling.We had to find another accommodation in dumfries .I am requesting a refund and am considering contacting health and safety regarding the matter .It caused us such distress as we had driven a long way .

Could not book online or via agent as cards declined for no reason I myself figured out it was because I was adding on early check in and this was not available your unhelpful advisors did not pick this up nor did inline

I booked Travelodge Finchley London Confirmation No 1569354971 & 1569354972 for 6 nights stay in October 2023. By mistake I ticked Internet for both rooms, instead of signing for internet for the 1 week for both rooms. I have gone back to the booking to change or amend the booking, yet I could not change the Internet from 1 day to 1 week, though I would pay extra for that. Please Help.

The booking was going well......until payment. It would not accept my payment. After much searching I found a phone number and had to pay exorbitant additional phone costs. Extra time and cost to a simple booking is unacceptable.

Booked saver rate by mistake. Phoned straight away to see if I could amend to flex and pay the extra but was told that there was no facility for this so will just have to hope all will be ok for trip

Shocking ! Stay well away from these hotels ! Dealt with Maria in bookings and she spoke to me like a piece of ..,. ! The hotel invoice was for a wrong hotel and when I phoned to let them know they said they my have encountered this problem before but I would have to pay £50 to be relocated to the hotel I originally wanted ! So basically charging me £50 for travelodge mistake ! I will never ever ever book travel lodge again ! The customer service from Maria was absolutely shocking ! Just pray your invoice has the hotel you booked otherwise travelodge will try to scam £50 -£80 from you ! I cannot come to terms I am been held accountable for travelodge sending me a wrong invoice ! Never ever again will I step into a travelodge ! The quality of her customer care is absolutely shocking. She would not give me her second name and said she did not know the customer service phone number ! What a cowboy outfit never again! I hope customers take heed of this review and pray it doesn't happen to them! I had an awful experience

The booking was made difficult by the program NOT simply accepting that I want a room for 1 person and secondly every time I tried to "move to extras" I had suddenly and magically booked another room. This kept occurring until I got to 5 rooms, then had to work out how to remove them. Not exactly user friendly.

I realised that the parking wasn't available nearby the hotel so i had to cancel my booking within 24 hrs. My money wasn't refunded i lost £264.00 for nothing. it's tricking the guests.

The hotel was pretty poor I don't like leaving negative reviews but room was very dated there was grit in the sheets and we paid for breakfast which was the worst I've ever had if I'm brutally honest. I hate leaving negative reviews but I don't understand why people do jobs half heartedly with in the hotel industry it's an experience there efforts make the difference not the setting really
