Avoid any room with an even number. All the those room windows back onto a very noisy building probably a refrigeration unit. The humming makes it almost impossible to sleep. This is with the window firmly shut. A friend has an old numbered room with no noise.

Really disappointed, awful smell in room appeared to be from carpet, what looked like rust in the bottom of the kettle and even after changing water and boiling several times was in drinkable due to the taste. No tbags in room, no shower gel in dispenser in bathroom. Really poor value for money

Terribly hot and stuffy. When I asked for a fan they said they didn’t have any, when I pushed the matter they mysteriously found one. Giving the distinct impression they just couldn’t be bothered to get us one.

Very expensive to speak with on the phone. Customer services slow to respond via email. I'm a bit fed up with Travelodge.

I haven't stayed at a Travelodge for years, but when I noticed it on the Defence card website giving 5% discount I thought I'd give it a try. The Defence website gave me a code and then opened up the Travelodge website. I made the booking, but when coming to pay there wasn't a box to put the code so I ended up paying the full rate. I was not impressed with the booking process. If you offer a discount it should be straightforward to obtain the discount.

The rooms are always of an acceptable standard but I do object to having to pay at the time of booking. This can be up to a year in advance and is often quite expensive especially when you have to opt for the flexible rate.

Tap missing, poor decor with unsightly sealant and edges. Not worth £100.00 for 1 night. Don't think I'll use Travelodge agai

Room in need of update, clean but bathroom floor smelt of urine, previous occupant wash bag still on back of bathroom door. Good location with greggs and subway opposite for breakfast.

Easy to book but I can’t see my booking on the app There nearest rival has a much better website

Online booking was difficult to use when booking multiple rooms, with different sleeping arrangements, for a group of people staying differing lengths of time. When booking online for a group, there needs to be separate drop-downs available to cater for this because once you set check-in and check-out dates, it assumes you want this applied to all rooms automatically, which is not always the case.

Staff is kind and helpful. I was not anticipating sleeping beneath rumbling trains. The twin room is very small although it was very clean. Window view is a concrete wall heightening that underground lightless experience - unpleasant and disconcerting. Wifi is not complimentary nor is breakfast - not sure this is good value.

As I got this review after making 2 booking for September so only commenting on the booking process Whilst I’m very happily with the hotel bookings and prices the mobile app is appalling and must be the worst user experience of any app and I use quite a lot

It's clean that's about it. Room looks empty, no fridge, hairdryer or iron, only 1 chair. One lift is out of order and the other looks like its been hit by a hammer on the door. Totally basic and no parking. On main road so very noisy. I should have read more before booking. I won't be back.
