Review of booking experience: since I last used it the website has changed for the worse. Confusing and contradictory in places, it takes you round and round in circles. Still, I got there in the end.

The lady at reception was lovely and helpful - however, the rooms were extremely hot and the fans were ineffective to combat the heat on a fairly mild day...

Everything was ok except the bed was really uncomfortable. I had poor sleep as a result.

The hotel appears very worn, the toilet seat was broken and general appearance was tired in need of a make over. Twice we ordered meals from a not very interested young girl first there was no chicken masala so I had a dried out steak and ale pie the second time my wife had to have a vegetarian again no masala, I had a dried up half chicken nearly inedible. There was no ice cream so didn't bother with dessert. Sad as we had stayed here several times in the past.

Booking tool was v frustrating. Added info for 4 rooms and right at the point of paying, there was an issue and I had to repeat the whole process a number of times. Thought about ringing and asking for assistance but didn't see why I should incur charges to do this. Eventually managed but not something I will want to repeat in a hurry.

I found the booking process suboptimal in several ways: 1. It’s confusing - it says free cancellation, but then I was still changed as part of the process. 2. The confirmation wasn’t sent to my email address. 3. The UI is too text based and has too many steps. Ideal would be visualizing everything on one page like booking.com does.

Hi, usually your booking site works fine but this time there were glitches with first the date, it refused the correct leave day and the number of guests rooms where I needed to start to book one room before I could ask for the second room. Sorry not good this time.

It is hard to review the company as we have yet to stay in the hotel but i found it hard to navigate the website and find the required location plus I thought it expensive for the extras and we considered finding appropriate alternative locations but we decided to give it a go as it was the nearest. The check-in time is also late at 3pm and not helpful. I have no idea why you are asking me about delivery time and couriers. Bizarre. I have marked you down a star on this complete lack of thought with this email.

The person at the reception was friendly. The room was clean. But the shower/shampoo dispenser was either not working or empty. And that is inacceptable. Room 304

I have not yet stayed, as the booking is for the end of the month. When booking I was unable to choose an arrival time, I could see no way to correct it. As we are arriving by ferry our arrival time is out of our hands. I tried ringing the contact number, but they hung up on me, and as I was paying an extortionate amount for the call I was not best pleased.

I booked for Saturday the 8th July at 22.00 hours and when arrived at 00.30 told the room wasn’t booked also told you can’t book after 12.00 on the day as it automatically goes into the next day checked our booking and somehow it was booked for th 16 th July and wanted me to pay 250.00 to stay I am not happy as we then had to pay 100.00 to get home ad 01.00 in the morning will be asking for a refund

It’s a room with a view. ( of McDonald’s and KFC) Bedroom was stifling hot with 2 adults and 2 children. Windows open a small amount for safety but the constant noise from the takeaways and modified cars cruising the strip is incessant. The room we had 104 was adequate although with two camp beds (probably more comfortable than the king size ) it was a bit cramped. However room 104 has the lift and the stairs next to it so you can hear people coming up the stairs throughout the night. Staff were friendly although we only saw two Ewan and the manager who were rushing around doing everything! Evening meal was acceptable. A little overcooked. Breakfast again was passable although not everything was on the menu and during the rush of 5 tables things run out quick. Not sure about the coffee machine though. A little temperamental and not that coffee ish. A passable stay but not top of the list for returning. No mention on the website there is no air con. So - There is no air con and it’s very hot but they give you a desktop fan. Despite the recent makeover it’s still a bit tired.

booked a room, turned out to be a family room, which we don't need , maybe there wasn't any doubles available, but they did not tell us this, also keep getting emails with a discount code but they never work , always says not available at this hotel, must have tried 10 different hotels and the code never works at the one i am going to, find that rather amusing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staff were nice on front desk, came in on the night to go get some food (asked at reception and was told they were serving) went to the bar and told they weren't serving but then someone got served food behind me. Got it in the end but was just very unorganized and lack of communication. Room was nice - very warm though. Bed wasn't great either I've woke up with a sore back. Also stains on sheets on my side and 'muck' on the wall lights.

I found the app difficult to use compared with the Premier Inn app. If a mistake was made when typing in information it was difficult to delete the faulty information and insert the correct information.
