I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this travel agency has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I’m writing this review to share an extremely distressing experience I had with Traveloka involving a recent international flight booking with Qantas. I hope it serves as a cautionary tale for others who may be considering using their services. I booked a flight departing 7 May 2025 at 2100 hours (QF-292) via Traveloka. To my shock, when I arrived at the airport, Qantas staff informed me that this flight was scheduled to depart two days later, on 9 May 2025. I was denied check-in and boarding access due to having inaccurate flight details provided by Traveloka. Upon further clarification, the Qantas team explained that the flight had long been changed to QF-82, a detail which was somehow never updated or reflected by Traveloka. Even worse, I had received a “reminder email” from Traveloka shortly before travel, reaffirming the incorrect departure date of 7 May. The only reason I managed to board the plane was due to my own persistence in escalating the matter to Qantas management at the airport. Meanwhile, all attempts to reach Traveloka in real-time failed. Qantas staff themselves expressed disbelief that such a serious error could come from a booking agency—and emphasized that only Traveloka had the authority to resolve the issue. This ordeal caused tremendous anxiety, emotional distress, and disruption. I had already started rearranging my accommodation and itinerary in New Zealand, thinking I would miss my trip entirely. To make matters worse, when I wrote to Traveloka requesting an explanation and compensation, their response was deeply unsatisfactory. They refused to take responsibility, stating that flight changes are not routinely communicated by Qantas to them - yet nowhere did they warn customers of this or advise independent verification. Instead of providing clarity, they continue sending reminder emails with outdated or incorrect information, compounding the confusion. They ultimately denied any compensation, on the grounds that I "managed to board the flight" and that the schedule "remained in line with the original booking" - which is simply untrue and misses the point entirely. To top it all off, they made the same mistake again in a follow-up “reminder email” dated 18 May 2025 (ie a day before the scheduled flight), listing incorrect flight numbers for my return trip. • Traveloka stated: AKL–SYD at 0600 on 19 May via QF-140 and SYD–SIN at 1020 via QF-291 ❌ • Actual itinerary: AKL–SYD at 0600 on 19 May via QF-140 and SYD–SIN at 1020 via QF-81 ✅ This demonstrates a pattern of negligence, not a one-off issue. As a paying customer who entrusted them with something as important as international travel arrangements, this experience has been both disappointing and disillusioning. I’m sharing this in hopes of hearing from others who may have had similar experiences. At what point do repeated errors and complete lack of accountability become unacceptable? This is poor service, inadequate support, and a deeply flawed operational system that deserves scrutiny. Would you trust a travel platform that can’t even guarantee the accuracy of your flight details?

I was scammed by Traveloka. I booked a flight for 30/12/2025, but after payment, the date suddenly changed to 28/12/2025. I immediately contacted customer service and emailed them, but had to wait 24 hours for a response. They asked for proof—but I saw the correct date and price on their app and paid right away. How can I prove that now? Their system error is not my fault, yet I’m being forced to bear the consequences. They refuse to change my flight to the correct date or offer a full refund. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. Everyone booking flights should remember to screenshot everything to avoid falling into the same trap.

I would not recommend booking flights or hotels with Traveloka. My experience was disappointing. I initially chose them because of a first-time user voucher, but after booking, my flight was mishandled. Resolving the issue involved a long, frustrating chat with their customer service, which was careless and ineffective, especially since third parties like airlines and hotels were involved. In the end, I had to pay extra to complete my flight. Overall, a poor experience.

I’ve been a Traveloka user and recently booked a flight through the platform. Shortly after booking, I discovered the exact same flight at a significantly lower price on another travel site. I reached out to Traveloka support, politely requested a cashback or any form of goodwill compensation, and even provided clear evidence of the price difference. Unfortunately, despite multiple follow-ups, I was told there would be no compensation—not even Traveloka Points or a small voucher. As a long-time customer, I was really disappointed by how this was handled. I’ve always appreciated Traveloka’s convenience, but after this experience, I’m strongly considering other platforms for future bookings. I hope Traveloka will reconsider how they treat genuine customer feedback going forward

I had to reschedule my flight tickets to the UK. They appear seemingly helpful at the start. However the confirmatory email of rescheduled flights came at about midnight when I was already in bed. When I realised this, it was past 3am the next day, and I cannot pay as the rescheduled flights were already invalid! I had to submit for rescheduling again!!

Lebih berhati-hati pada penggunaan aplikasi traveloka yang tampak terpercaya. Saya hari ini melakukan pemesan hotel di traveloka dan telah melakukan pembayaran sebelum batas waktu yang diberikan. Setelah melakukan pembayaran lalu saya mendapatkan notifikasi email bahwa voucher hotel saya tidak bisa dikeluarkan oleh traveloka karena sepertinya ada gangguan. Setelahnya saya langsung membuka aplikasi traveloka dan terdapat pilihan refund atau booking ulang. Saya pilih booking ulang karena harga kamarnya yang tersedia sama dengan pilihan kamar saya yang sebelumnya dan yang sudah saya bayarkan tersebut. Kecerobohan saya yaitu saya tidak memeriksa lebih lanjut jenis tipe kamar yang telah saya booking ulang. Dalam pemikiran saya jenis kamar seharusnya sama karena harga yang ditawarkan traveloka untuk booking ulang dengan yang saya bayarkan sama. Setelah saya check in dan masuk kamar baru saya mengetahui bahwa jenis kamarnya berbeda. Saya sudah melaporkan kepada cs traveloka dan jawaban mereka normatif tanpa solusi yaitu hanya dengan mengucapkan permintaan maaf dan secara langsung menyalahkan saya karena telah melakukan booking ulang dengan pilihan kamar yang berbeda. Pernyataan pihak traveloka bahwa pembayaran saya tidak dapat diverifikasi karena sewaktu saya telah melakukan pembayaran, di saat yang sama juga pihak hotel menarik kuota kamar yang telah saya bayar dan mengganti harga kamar dengan tipe lebih rendah tapi harga lebih mahal. Saya sebagai pengguna traveloka merasa sangat kecewa dan tidak mendapatkan pelayanan yang seharusnya

Very bad customer service Im currently chatting and sending email to traveloka customer service. It seems like they have the worst customer service. I asked for a timeframe as to when will I receive the itinerary. They said they can't provide it. It's the first time I've heard that you can't provide such information, I paid and bought a ticket and yet, you don't know when will the itinerary show up in my email or will it ever show up. Also, when you send an email and chat, they will send you a generic response. Their chat support takes atleast 5 minutes to reply. I've on chat with them for 4++ hours now sorting things out. They are not helpful at all. Don't ever book with them. It's a waste of time and money. Book somewhere else or better yet, book directly with the airline. The stress dealing with traveloka is not worth it.

DO NOT USE TRAVELOKA!!! This website is the most dishonest and disreputable company I have ever used. They scammed me out of $1005 by tricking me into paying for 1 flight when I had entered details for 2 flights. No intention of resolving the problem (they charged DOUBLE the airlines actual fare), denied refund (in fact sent derisory offer by email at 00:39 which said if I didn’t respond within the hour it would be cancelled anyway). They are scammers pure and simple.

Always had an error after booking! This is the second time it hangs up after putting in the OPT and no booking details was sent. Seems like a modus! Can’t even rely to Traveloka’s customer service as they will just push you back to contact the bank even if it’s their services fault. Waste of money! Never book a ticket in this app!!!!

I mistakenly booked a ticket and contacted Traveloka immediately while the status was still pending. They assured me they would help after the ticket was issued, either by changing the route or offering a voucher. Once the ticket was issued, they refused to assist and told me to contact the airline instead. Their contradictory promises and lack of accountability are unacceptable. I won’t be using Traveloka again.

Purchased air tickets for 3 people, money was processed from account immediately but they won’t issue e tickets, upon contacting Traveloka or should be cancelled SCAMoka they said I have to pay another 3-400$ in order to get tickets. This company is dodgy stay away from it.

Airline ticket invalid - wrong name spelling Traveloka's airline ticket was NOT ACCEPTED BECAUSE THIS COMPANY DID NOT INPUT MY LAST NAME!!! Do I left completely stranded Eventually it cost me more than double to buy new ome wsy tickets. There was no valid reponse for days. Eventually TRAVELOKA representative stated I only filled in my first name. On the contrary they had my complete passport and visa information and their correspondence addtessed me with my full name. Traveloka not only caused travel delay and last minute major hassles due to denied flight. It cost more than twice the orice to get new tickets. I wasted 2 full days till i straightened things out with Angkor Airlines who made things also more complicated I have use Traveloka in the early 2000s and they were excellent. Now this is a miserable and extorting company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VERY BAD TRAVEL AGENCY Date of experience: December 05, 2024 Edit .

They are SCAMMERS!!!Do not dare to book with this website nor their app. Please do not try to go through, this is so hassle. It's the wrong flight that they published versus what has been published through the airlines website. I chose the 2PM flight from their website, and when I checked my confirmed booking through the airlines website it's a DIFFERENT FLIGHT TIME. They won't refund the full amount I have paid for, even if I just made and contacted their customer service in less than 6hrs from the time of booking. Its a NO BRAINER for a Supervisor named Ryan to say they will need to do "investigation" when clearly they can compare right away the booking that they have versus the confirmed booking through the airlines website using manage my trip. ITS CLEARLY A SCAM!!!!!! If there's a NO STAR, I'll choose no Star as my review rating.

Do not book on Traveloka. I was bitten badly. It will save you from many many troubles and headaches. as its a website created with retrictions for their benefit. Cancellation is a nightmare . ONLY 2 REASONS ARE ALLOWED: DEATH +, CRITICAL ILLNESS AND NATURAL DISASTER. IF YOUR TICKET IS NON REFUNDABLE DO NOT BUY CHUBB INSURANCE . I bought insurance stupidly ; TRAVELOKA IS A TRAP one should avoid.
