“I bought baggage allowance for my roundtrip but it didn’t show on the airline checkin. My airline suggested I have to contact trip.com. After chatting with agent, she couldn’t fix it. So her manager called and claimed that the additional baggage allowance applied to my return flight even though the fee applied on the round trip booking. She said her IT department will investigate it to see if she could reimburse my extra fee paid directly to the airline.
This is a huge hassle for my flight. The system wasn’t reliable and customer service took a long time. Not impressed!!”
“Promoting cheap airfares but when you go to book them it says sorry sold out. This is in fact misleading information for the customer and false information.”
“Ive purchased a senior railcard with you and i want it in my apple wallet, you wont let me,your app is a nightmare to navigate and is full of glitches”
“Horrible customer service support. I had a name change application for which they charged me an exorbitantly high amount that too different for the to and fro flight. For the fro flight 15 euros, but then for from flight 20 euros!!! The official charges of the airlines are 10 euros! They called me at 4:00 am in the morning multiple times to pay the fees, since after 1 hour the application is gone. So you may be sleeping or in a meeting and the expectation is to leave everything and talk to them or pay them. on complaining about my experience, they were of no use!! Never again. Be careful”

Misleading Refund Policy, Felt Cheated!
I booked a flight through Trip.com, which was postponed, and I was given the option for “free cancellation." So I took it and expecting a full refund but instead, after I rebooked another new ticket for my journey, hours later Trip.com replied and only gave me a voucher without clear prior warning.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic
- No transparency about vouchers being the only refund option.
- No cash refund despite their "free cancellation" promise.
- Poor customer service – my requests for a real refund were ignored and forced to accept voucher
I would not recommend Trip.com to anyone who expects fair refunds. If your plans change, they trap your money in vouchers you may never use.
To Trip.com, do better: Stop misleading customers and honor real refunds when flights are disrupted!”
“This travel agency is very deceitful. I purchased a train ticket and want to cancel and refund before 48 hours, for medical reasons, they ask for a medical certificate imagine. I can’t believe this. Very disappointing and difficult to communicate with, do not use their app, ripping you and you can’t cancel any booking or get a refund. Avoid like a plague.”
“This company is very deceitful. I purchased a ticket, and when the ticket was sent, it was different from that that was purchased. I called immediately to notify them of their mistake, trip.com refused to give a full refund, and still, 8 hours later the flight had not been properly cancelled.
I would not recommend trip.com to anyone. My complaint will be raised with the relevant ombudsman.”
“I mistakenly entered the wrong date for my stay, three weeks in advance. Despite the no-cancel policy, Trip refused to cancel the booking and issue a refund, forcing me to pay for an unnecessary room.
Given the ample lead time, an exception should have been made. The call center's location outside the UK led to delayed responses and callbacks, exacerbating the issue.
I will not use Trip again, as other agents would have shown more understanding and logic.”
“Horrible company/website to work with. I booked a 1 king bed with couch bed room at a hotel that doesn't even provide that kind of room. Hotel statement that they have informed them that they don't have those rooms but yet they continue to book them. Now I'm stuck fighting for a refund. Never again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them!!!”
“I booked an internal flight and was asked to pay £53 for hand luggage by trip.com as their reservation says absolutely no carry on luggage - checked the flight operator and hand luggage included and I was able to take hand luggage on free of charge - not happy that I could have been charged - I am certain that trip.com would have taken my payment”
