Have noticed how nearly every negative review of a business on trustpilot is removed within minutes of posting!! Also found this interesting research which adds weight to this: https://www.seotraininglondon.org/can-you-trust-trustpilot/

I stumbled across this website quite by accident and was very surprised by some of the comments. I have used Trustpilot to verify a number of companies and also posted reviews. I could not disagree more with all the negative comments as my experience has been very positive. To highlight this, I recently posted a negative review of a company I had used and the supplier of the materials used on the job contacted me directly. As a consequence, I am having the work done FOC as soon as restrictions due to the Coronvirus crisis are lifted.

TP is very shady when it comes to giving you pricing... Their pricing page has changed lots of times over the years because they can't figure out the best way to milk people for the most money.... Their sales team repeats the same scripted answers when a customer asks a question about pricing and they cannot just tell you how much the damn thing costs! They offer a 'trustworthy' platform for customers to leave real reviews. They give themselves a name that is supposed to portray 'trust', yet it seems they do nothing for clients to seem trustworthy themselves.

Locked me out of my account with them too! Just because I gave a review of a bad experience with carmotoin at Mexborough?

Trust Pliot have locked my account without notifying me and without explaining why. My emails to try and resolve this were initially met with an automated bot response. Their support team who answer the webchat are unable to do anything to help with account unlocks. It was sent to compliance and a few days later I received an email from their compliance team to say they couldn't unlock the account and have contacted their enforcement team. More than two weeks later and no further communication and my further emails have been ignored. Telephone calls go to voicemail. I have contacted the CEO directly via email twice and received email delivery confirmations but no response from him whatsoever. Clearly there is no customer service in this company and the CEO sets this example from the very top. Ignoring the large number of obvious fake reviews, I did think Trust Pilot was a helpful source of reference for getting the feel for a company before perhaps making an online purchase but I no longer consider it fit for purpose and would point everyone to using Google Reviews or other review websites and forget TP.

worst platform ever. fake reviews from people that never visited our business... how do we know? we are brick and mortor and the user lives in another country. one review was in a different language. fake fake fake. i pleaded with the company to remove the fake review and since the could not contact the FAKE account they said the review was valid??? Who does that to a legit business. We have a 5 star review rating on google and facebook. yet trustpilot wont remove a fake review. such a bad business model..

They are established to support scams like www.gogetfunding.com who are ambulance chasers during this pandemic, posting fake FB accounts and suckering people to give money to those who have died. They are aiding and abetting online crime.

I wrote a critical but accurate review of AirHelp following my experience with them. They flagged the review as fake, and even though I was able to immediately provide Trustpilot with a mountain of evidence that my review was legitimate, they never reinstated my review. Trustpilot is a scam - do not trust the Trustpilot score.

i have found that any company any business you write a review with won't post it if you use bad language or names of people. i think it so unfair as people should be named and shamed if so wrong or upset public after all were one that put money in their pocket by buying and trading with them. it always ok for you to be scammed or treated in a bad way by staff in supermarkets shops etc but when you write about it on reviews not allowed to be truth ful. so why does every place every service ask for a review when can't be honest. The whole point of reviews is to let others know if you had bad experience who ever it may be so others know if to shop with them so on. Terrible if you can't be truthful.

Trust pilot removed my review of a company despite me providing the evidence they asked for. They ignore all of my emails and I'm seeing I'm not the only person they've done it to.

This entire service is a scam. They allow positive reviews without any verification however every single negative review is automatically removed and requires review (which will never be accepted). This is easy to check simply by looking at the fact that every service is almost 5* reviews and few to zero negative reviews. I've attempted to post reviews several times for services and every negative review has been removed. Every attempt to prove my purchase/experience has been ignored or rejected.

I am convinced trustpilot is a scam site, trustpilot just will not let me leave an honest negative review of a company they yanked us around on a purchase. They keep sending me emails critiquing my review with silly limitations on the reviews wording, Seems to me that they are focused on the comapany getting good reviews... Untrustpilot, distrustpilot.

i posted a bad review for Tastecard and WeOnlyPostGoodReviewsIfCompaniesPayUsPilot tried all sorts of tricks to take it down. In the end they said I had not used Tastecard in the last 12 months! Of course not.?its a bad review. This means they accept bias In their reviews by insisting the product being reviewed has to be used recently.

I had left a reviews for autodoc and it was removed, then replied with more information and a friend's bad experience with them to see that's been removed. I don't trust trustpilot any more

Very similar experience to others with TrustPilot. I had an awful experience with a company (MadisonSeating.com) and posted my experience. The company has done everything in its power to take my review down, from saying I wasn't a genuine customer to claiming that I made "defamatory" statements against them. Neither of which are true, and I proved it to TrustPilot. Interesting it takes the company less than a few days to get my review taken down, and it takes me 2 months to get it put back up, even after taking the "corrective actions" within days of being reported. Then it all started to make sense. If the company is paying TrustPilot, who is going to have the most influence? You the customer paying no money, or the company paying money? I'm starting to lose trust in TrustPilot. I will update this if anything different happens, but I'm not holding my breath.

The worst review website. Its high time that this gets pulled off from the internet. They are supporting business scams leading to huge losses for poor customers.

It seems any company can get a negative review removed, I reviewed productshop in January about their advert in Ebay advertising their beach umbrella being dispatched from Parranzabuloa in Cornwall GB when in fact it was dispatched from somewhere in Italy with a tracking number that didn't work till it arrived in the UK. My review was removed by Trust pilot after a complaint from the company, saying I didn't supply an order number. I notice I am not the only one to have their negative reviews removed, looks like you only want positive reviews, what a waste of my time. Check it out on Ebay for yourself it's still advertised there.

Trustpilot is a contradiction in terms, no trust whatsoever, absolute joke of a site, I wrote a bad review about a furniture company in Yorkshire and the review was instantly taken down by trustpilot because the vendor reported the review, I was not the only reviewer to have my review removed because this vendor complained, there’s about 20/30 reviews that are being looked into, the vendor obviously very questionable but is being supported by trustpilot simply because they pay a premium whereas I don’t, I will not be posting reviews on mis-trustpilot ever again as they simply only work for the highest bidder and have no interest in telling the truth... absolutely disgusted!
