Trust Pilot is a scam inuntue itself in so much as it allows companies to "buy" into their premium services and filter out bad reviews for their own gains. Furthermore, and worst of all, they permit the company to simply flag any review they feel is not legit, it is then up to the person writing the review to submit proof that it is legit... The problem with this setup is the company has ZERO reason to flag for review any positive reviews and relies soley on the fact that most won't be bothered to submit proof and the negative reviews simply vanish... Terrifying. Proof? Go look at "Fresh Start Financial" a paid member, page after page of flagged and hidden reviews all are negative except 1 (which I bet was a 5 star review with the review itself negative which the user thought would slip past by being a 5 star review). Looking at the "transparent" stats page just shows the amount of AUTOMATED reviews generated and how many (nearly all) negative reviews are flagged as fake with 85% of the reason code for removal being "reviewer didn't submit proof." it is UNREAL that Trust Pilot requires ZERO pre-review proof to submit the proof, positive or negative, and then all the company has to do is say "that;s not real" to have negative reviews removed. UNREAL. Purely a for-profit review site with ZERO credibility.

All the bad reviews are removed. This is a fraudulent website , basically the opposite of what they are supposed to be . Seem to only be driven by money from clients

Our company has several excellent and (all) 5-star reviews posted on Trustpilot. Within one week we received 4 bad one-star reviews from reviewers who never received their purchases. NONE of the reviewers are customers of ours, nor are they in our databank. They found us on Google search and confused us with a bogus company who had a similar name to ours. Their reviews were all 'organic' as opposed to verified. I brought 4 pieces of crucial evidence to Trustpilot and 'after a thorough investigation' left 2 of the bad reviews up. Completely unfair and untrue. Google, btw, shut down the other company's website. Lesson to all: Unless the reviewer is 'verified' don't believe Trustpilots "objective and complex algorithm"

I never realised how bad this company really is. I thought it was trusted. Serves me right for believing things hey. I have seen it happen to a company where myself and others left poor feedback, and all the company has to do is flag it and it gets removed. I just dont get it. It was professionally worded and constructive. I wonder how many others have fallen for this.

I did a representative bad rating about a Swiss bank because of a real time money transfer app which is terrible also by many other users in Switzerland. But Trustpilot sent me an email that my rating might be not real correct because of they use a special software who tracks special ratings (bad ratings of course) and didn't post it. I sent them a feedback and explained my experience with this Swiss Bank again and told them I can proof it but they just ignored me. For me in that case Trustpilot protecting some companies.

Trustpilot appears to me to believe anything registered businesses tell them, so you write a genuine neg review, the business disputes it, Trustpilot removes it. You dispute the removal, Trustpilot ignore you. If Trustpilot wont allow neg reviews its no good as a review site. If Trustpilot believes everything a business tells them it will be full of fake positive reviews. Don't bother looking at Trustpilot for any reviews.

A complete joke of a company, they removed my negative review (based on facts) for brickslips.co.uk, and they will not even respond to the email asking: "What happened with my review?"

I have two buisnesses both on trustpilot , I work very hard myself and so do all my teams to keep a good service and score. My competitors are not a patch on us and it shows in their score . But not by much . Lots of bad reviews get taken down because the company’s complain ! If trustpilot don’t take them down then these company’s are simply not going to subscribe again !! I hope one day all these trustpilot, checkatrade etc buisnesses offering fake and manipulated scores will be seen for what they are ! This review will probably never see light of day !!

Following a bad experience with an online trader, I left a poor review for them on Trustpilot. I then got a message from Trustpilot indicating the trader was asking for evidence of my correspondence with them but there was no obligation for me to comply with the request, so I didn't. Soon after, I got an email from Trustpilot saying they were pulling my review because the trader had suggested I was not a genuine customer of theirs, and asked me to provide supporting evidence if I wanted to reinstate my review! What I want to know is whether they ask similar things from those leaving positive reviews for companies? By doing this, they are making it more difficult for people to see the negative reviews of the companies on their website, because I am sure many people cannot be bothered to respond to these messages asking for "evidence", and as such, their reviews would eventually be deleted by Trustpilot. Now that I know this, I will stop paying attention to Trustpilot ratings for companies I purchase goods from!

I posted a review that was negative about Castlewater. Because Castlewater complained, trustpilot took it down. This might explain why trustpilot reviews rate them so highly.

Trustpilot? They need to remove the "trust" part as they are untrustworthy. They are the only review site that will remove your posts to protect a PAYING customer. The worse part is that they remove your post but don't tell you right away. They removed a few posts of mine well over a month before telling me about it. They know your post is perfectly fine but they constantly change the rules to protect their clients. Furthermore, by having your post put aside, it gives the time to fake posters from the company you gave bad reviews to bring up many 5 stars reviews to bury yours behind the list. Trustpilot? More like Nevertrustpilot unless you are a paying company to protect them from bad reviews.

It is so obvious they can not be trusted. Firstly just follow the names of some of those giving glorious reviews. their names and soon it becomes evident that some people are simply fake and are probably fake reviewers, paid to do so. Using different names of course. 2, many of the glowing reviews are simply too over the top and often using terms a customer would never use. People do not use terminology when complimenting a company as though it were an old trusted friend. The whole thing stinks and I think there is a case here for fraud. Big time fraud.
