“As of 2024, Truworths seems to have adopted a zero-refund or cancellation policy regarding their online orders. This can be seen on multiple review sites. It is best to avoid using Truworths at all costs. Somehow, they are being allowed to operate as a "legal scam company"”
“After reading a couple of revies, I see this is actually Truworths MO and not an isolated incident. THEY can change ONLINE ORDERS after it's been placed and cancelled items you have ordered, but as the customer YOU CANNOT CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR ORDER, after it's been "processed" - basically just some or other BS they claim their barely legal T%C's allows them to do. If a customer no longer wants an order MINUTES after being told that an item they ordered isn't available, they MUST be allowed to cancel that order ONLINE (where it was placed). This is the shady "process" ScamWorths excepts clients to follow. Everything can be done ONLINE, all communication will be done ONLINE, but if you want a refund GOT IN STORE (and obviously forfeit the delivery fee)”
“On Monday 8 July I went to Truworths Wonderboom to assist me to have a dress that was only available in Truworths Potchefstroom transferred to their branch.
I was met by staff unwilling to assist me with my request. I had already spoken to the manager of the Potchefstroom branch and she confirmed that she would be happy to assist to have the dress transferred.
I had to raise my voice to get the attention of the person assisting me because at some point she told me to move away from the counter in order to assist the customers behind me and I said I will not move until I was assisted.
At some point the manager called the Potchefstroom branch and made arrangements to have the dress transferred to Wonderboom.
The attitude of the staff of this Wonderboom branch really leaves a lot to desire. When I went to collect the dress on Friday 12 July the person behind the counter recognized me and remarked loud enough for me to hear "this is this rude gogo". Really?
I don't think I will ever put my feet in that store again. The staff of that store is hopelessly too self centered and unprofessional.
On the other hand, the staff in Truworths Potchefstroom went out of their way to assist me. The manager called me as the courier left with the dress, tracked it and called me when the dress was delivered to Truworths Wonderboom. She later called me to find out if I was happy with the dress. Bless you Tebogo and Thabang in Potchefstroom.”

“In 2024, you still expect people to use ID's for online collection, you have no app on top of that. There are so many options you can choose to verify if the order belongs to an individual. Even Pep or Jet doesn't use that anymore. You can't expect people to walk around with ID's.

“I have a complaint with the Bad Girl watch I bought at vaal mall on the 29th of March 2024. The original color of the watch is already fading.
I then went to truworths in vaalwalk at Vanderbijlpark on the16th of April 2024, the guy who was assisting me there said he can't help me because I did not buy it there (but he was willing to help), I have to go to the shop that I bought the watch from.
Today, 17 April 2024, I went to Vaal mall truworths, where I bought the watch, the lady who assisted me said to me whenever a client buy jewellery at truworths, they tell them that the warranty does not include the fading of the color, the batteries, and the broken belt, which is what I was not told. And besides that, they weren't even going to help me because 14 days has passed. However, the watch was still going to lose it's color. Unless is the expensive ones, around R3000.00 because it's quality. I personally feel like it was rude for her to say "anyway, it was going to lose it's color". I asked her that my R600 is gone just like that, and she confidently said "yes".
I am hoping that my complaint will be fairly attended.”

“Was gifted a pair of pants purchased at Kenilworth Center branch, but the size wasn’t ideal, found a more suitable pair at Canal walk branch (style and price differnece) however the purchaser didn’t have the transaction slip any longer. Was told by the shop assistant at KC that the slip wasn’t not needed in the event of a return/swap etc. however I’ve learnt that it’s policy not to perform any of these regardless. I’d shown the garment which had all its labels still in place, including the inner liner woth the word Truworths inscribed, no chance that I’ve tried to swap a completely different pair of pants bought at a different retailer 😡😡😡
The worst part of my experience was that I was left to sort this out by myself, made numerous calls to the KC branch as the transaction details coukd be verified, even to the point where one CW assistant asked me if I had ensured that the KC branch sent through the Email confirmation LOL how should I know this without access to the stor’s Email system!!!!
It took all of three and half hours to resolve this matter, so not at all in agreement with your return policy, clearly your decision makers have no clue how the other retailers are taking steps to make processes easier rather than more stringent.
Canal Walk staff are in desperate need of mentorship in the customer relationship realm, lacking in every sense😡😡😡😡

“Truworths over all service had deteriorated, the delivery drivers from Courier IT are the worse they never deliver and get messages that no one is home.
The online packing ppl are just as bad they have the never to pack torn items, if it's not torn they send it without removing the beeping tag.
