Absolutely ridiculous. #1. Their cut on your car rental is extortionate. #2. I unlisted my car. They relisted it anyway and I had a surprise visitor. #3. I cancelled the reservation. They said I needed to attend a webinar before theyw would relist is. OK Great. I never attended the seminar. They relisted the car anyway. #4. Another unscheduled un-notified guest showed up. #5. I closed my account. These people are idiots. Get a standard rental car. Turo is a waste of time and effort.

Turo is the worst company to every rent a car from. By all means NEVER use there service I wish I had read the reviews before I rented from them. Turo said I damaged a car I had in my passion, I did not take pictures of the car upon pick up . PLEASE TAKE PICTURES OF THE CAR BEFORE PICKUP AND AFTERWARD DROP OFF because if you don't you will be sorry. You have been warned.

Book my reservation on turo 3 weeks before my trip and pre paid. The day of, they denied me a rental. No one in the entire company could tell me why I was denied. Also they only communicate by live chat or email. Ask for a refund and they refund only 75% of my money. I ended up having to get a rental from enterprise that day. Turo is really really bad and over priced

Turo is an Absolute Disaster – Avoid at All Costs If I could give zero stars, I would. Renting with Turo was the single WORST decision of our entire trip, and their customer service is a complete joke. Here’s what happened: Our rental car broke down in the middle of a busy Las Vegas boulevard—completely dead. After spending almost 8 hours on the phone with their so-called "assistance," the best they could do was offer a Lyft to get us from Vegas to LA the next morning (not what we wanted but whatever, we were desperate). Morning comes, and surprise, surprise—NO DRIVER was willing to take the ride because it was too far. We were stranded, my friend had a flight to catch in LA that evening, and Turo’s “support” left us completely on our own. We had to spend MORE money on Ubers, book a last-minute car from a REAL rental company, and hope for the best. All this while panicking, stressed out, and furious. And guess what? It’s been a week since we emailed them with every single receipt and detail of what we went through. Not a single refund. Not an ounce of help. NOTHING. Just silence. Turo RUINED our vacation. They left us stranded, ignored our complaints, and refuse to take responsibility for their incompetence. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and honestly dangerous—because what if this had happened somewhere remote or less accessible? Save yourself the headache, stress, and money. Do NOT trust Turo with your travel plans. Ever. I’ll be posting this review EVERYWHERE until they stop ignoring us and refund every penny we wasted because of their failure.

Never rented the vehicle, never completed the rental process to confirm. Was charged, Turos receipt states refund, but never was refunded. Owner says nothing he can do, even though he admitted I didn't rent the vehicle.

Long story short, got a bad experience first time first day due to HOST. Pictures uploaded I booked for a month, paid $1300 (rounded) with insurance as it’s mandatory peace of mind for both host and renter. 24hrs prior to pick up, you must upload driver’s license and selfie for host to also review/approve. Allllll this time I already uploaded this document, host cancelled on my way to pick up. I spent money on Uber, from then back plus the money I spent is held, refunded and available 3-5 business days so I’m out $1400 Mind you I messaged host the first day I booked showing how excited I was about this experience as a friendly message, and updated host through the entire process. You can see they read the message, just deliberately choose not to answer. That says a lot about what kind of person the host is. Turo reps also confirmed Host received multiple bookings but also got cancelled “ invalid cancellation “ they say. Host lives 10mins away from me so we both live in a nice area but seems like the host is profiling people in a bad way. Karma is all!!!

I do not have an issue with the hosts. I have only had 1 bad host however I would encourage anyone who has a major credit card to rent from one of the major car rental companies. Turo is a sub prime car rental agency. Unfortunately, having been unemployed and filing bankruptcy companies like Turo takes advantage of those like me who needs to rent a car but might not have or no longer have a major credit card. Turo charges about the same price for their trip fee as the host charges for the trip price causing the cost of the rental to automatically double and that is not including insurance and taxes. DO NOT RENT FROM TURO IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TOO!!!!! On average a 2 day car rental would cost approximately 70.00-80.00.

Paul was the best host ever! I can’t say enough about his courteous quick response and handling every detail from start to finish. Truly an exceptional experience! Above all kindness and helpful. Made my wknd trip the best. His Corvette that he provided awesome and beautiful. Clean inside and out! Fun in the Sun transportation. Will always reach out to him when I’m in Delray. Cant wait for my next trip. Paul deserves 10 out of stars ⭐️

I didn’t even want to give this company any stars! This so called company left my husband stranded at the airport at 11:00pm at night. Then after having to find and pay for a hotel room, he tried re-booking for a car in the morning and 10 minutes before the reservation they cancelled. Worst service I have ever experienced, save yourself a horrible experience and go with a REAL car rental company!

I like being able to rent from local residents. I didn't like the almost $400 Turo trip fee that I was surprised with once I reserved a car. After the fee my daily rate went to $65/day and Hertz had no fee for the same size vehicle at $46/day. I canceled and probably will never go back to Turo.

After renting with Turo for over 7 months straight, spending well over $10000 with them and had dozens of 5 star rented, they deactivated my account as I was not able to extend my rental or contact the host or them due to unforeseen circumstances. It was 2 days after my return date that I could and handled everything immediately. I’ve explained the situation, requested an upper level review multiple times and always get the exact same generic answer. So frustrating!!! I want an actual person to review it and not a computer. Do better Turo!!!

I was unable to get the $554.39 used for the repairs on damages caused by a Turo guest & Turo did not make any effort to make the guest pay for the damages. My Sienna which seats 8 people was rented by Natu Natuka and when it was returned back at the Edmonton International Airport, I noticed there were actually 11 occupants in the vehicle and this excessive loading resulted in damages to my vehicle. Neither Turo nor Natu agreed to fix my vehicle. So beware of renting your vehicle to Natu if ever decide to host your vehicle on Turo.

This an update on a host putting a damage claim towards me. His name is Pavlo K from Sheepshead Bay BK, 2673 E 28th St. I rented a Honda Odyssey from him during June 2024. I had rented a minivan for the first time via Turo bc I wanted to give my money to a person instead of a big company like Enterprise…. Wrong decision and it is no way cheaper. I had the car for two days, returned it in its original condition. He saw I had a platinum Amex card to hold the reservation and he started to scheme and plot. I had purchased Turo’s $500 deductible insurance bc I wasn’t sure if my own insurance covers person to person car sharing or if my cc does also. That Turo insurance is BS. Turo agents are out to collect money bc they receive a processing fee of $75 and other charges on top. Customer service representatives aren’t from this country. Their English is basic and they are patronizing. It took them over 4 months to close out my claim bc I got my personal insurance involved. My insurance agent was on my side since I had a video hours after Pavlo claimed his damages. His phony damages weren’t there! I asked Pavlo to send me pics and videos a day after, he refused bc I knew he had nothing to show. He reached out via text trying to settle it outside of Turo. I told him lot claim it through Turo, not knowing it was going to be a problem with Turo too. I thought I was protected. Turo does NOT accept videos or photos after the return window and they use a virtual app to appraise the damages. They have no actual physical adjuster to come and look and the car. Beware. Hosts have 24 hours to claim damages which is ridiculous. Also, Turo does NOT post negative reviews for 5 star hosts. The host can call in and request it to be taken down. They’re all scammers. Rent from a reputable rental company who does things the right way.

Fastest customer service response of any company in existence. Host went out of his way to make sure I was happy. Smooth fast transactions, off course there will be unhappy people but just found out the happy ones usually give rating on the app itself but not on this site which I just came across.

Turo is a joke, If one of their hosts give you a car with problems your are totally screwed. They outsource to customer assistance to agents that can't speak decent English. The biggest problem is they can't get you a replacement car and it leaves you stranded at the airport or wherever you are. Second time this has happened to me and we are never using Turo again.

I am absolutely disheartened by my experience with Turo, and I feel it's crucial to share the details of my unfortunate ordeal to alert others. My rental car reservation was abruptly canceled not just once, but on two separate occasions, both occurring just 30 minutes before I was supposed to pick it up. The initial cancellation on October 26 was already a major setback, forcing me to scramble for alternative transportation arrangements. This disruption led to severe financial repercussions, as I found myself needing to cancel my hotel reservations. The costs were staggering—one hotel charged me $500, which was non-refundable, while another incurred an additional $125 fee due to my last-minute cancellation. As if the cancellations weren't enough, my attempts to seek assistance from Turo's customer service were met with a frustrating lack of support. The representatives I interacted with were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to my plight. They outright refused to allow me to remain on hold while they escalated my issue, which left me feeling completely disregarded and overwhelmed. It was evident that resolving my predicament was not a priority for them, adding to the stress of the entire situation. To compound my frustration, I received yet another cancellation today, October 30, where the host shockingly attempted to charge me DOUBLE the original price for the same vehicle! This blatant disregard for their contractual obligations is nothing short of infuriating. It’s clear that Turo does not hold its customers in high regard and fails to honor the commitments made in their agreements. Given the string of issues I've faced, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Turo to anyone. This has been a recurring nightmare for me within just four days, and the financial fallout has been immense. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere for rental services. Turo's apparent disregard for customer satisfaction and their contractual responsibilities is alarming. Save yourself the headache—choose a service that truly values its customers.
