“They took the money for my new Dewalt SDS but its apparently been "lost in the post". They've refused a refund or to resend and I now have to claim via credit card. What an absolute JOKE of a company. The delivery is YOUR responsibility PlanetTools, total scam artists”

“I received few items from the toughmaster brand and after unpacking the first one, I was disappointed to find that the quality was so poor, after a few attempts it was unusable for me. I didn’t bother opening the other items, they were likely of similar quality. I contacted ukplanettools to explain the situation and offered to return unopened items while keeping the one I had already opened. Unfortunately my return request was rejected and then they want me to pay for return shipping - around half the value of the items, despite the large size of the box and the fact that I don’t have a contract with any courier. Before purchasing, they were quick to respond to emails but their after-sales service has been a nightmare. It’s simply not worth ordering from them, as they don’t offer free returns and their collection service can cost up to £20 per box. This feels like an unfair policy and I wouldn’t recommend ordering from them. Sorry, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and trying to buy next dewalt, milwaukee etc. tools at powertoolmate.”

“I bought a small Patio Heater from Planet tools. I didn’t use it that much, but after a year it stopped working. I contacted PT seeking a repair or replacement. They stalled & stalled, using the fact that I was a week over the year guarantee. In the end, I had to threaten bad publicity & Govt Ombudsman to get a proper response. It was Amazon who saved the day, giving me a full refund.”

“I have ordered a Milwaukee flask received it damaged.sent an email with pictures attached and had a ticket number but no response for 5days!! Call them up and they said they going to send a replacement. But they also haven’t sent anything and now they send me another email saying I have to send this one first and I can have refund because they don’t have it in stock absolute waste of time!! Avoid this company.”

“They advertised a product that doesn't exist but took my money anyway. They then took nearly 3 weeks to refund me which stinks. Is this a company that has cashflow problems? That might be why my refund was delayed, to help their own cashflow. I was at first told that as an apology I would receive a discount on any future purchase but no discount was ever forthcoming. I was then told that the Managing Director would let me know how the company would make it up to me. Guess what? Never heard a thing from them after that. Is this a company full of incompetents, cowboys, or people making a string of genuine but unfortunate mistakes? I think I know the answer. The service culture in this country is rotten to the core and in the centre of that core are companies like this. My advice is to avoid UKPlanetTools like the plague. Tools indeed...”

“They offer a free item , which you think great . But send you something that’s old stock which is useless. When Makita have changed batteries since so the item doesn’t work !!!”

“I bought a dewalt Strummer from here, when opened i am missing all screws to fit the handle and base protector. I have emialed twice and opened a case in PayPal and still no one has replied. Terrible service! I cannot still after a month use this item!”
