Ulta has the absolute worse customer service known to man. It’s like they hire the mean girls from highschool who otherwise wouldn’t thrive in other industries.

Paid $142.00 for men’s cologne and was sent hair conditioner. Spent 30 minutes texting and was told they needed to escalate my case. Totally absurd, replace my product or provide a full refund. Simple solution…..terrible customer support. Wish I could give them a negative!!

Bought lip gloss and had to throw it away. Looks like cotton tip fell off inside the bottle. I no longer had receipt so couldn't return to store. Basically, lost my money and the lip gloss Contacted CS and they did absolutely nothing,

ULTA website is the absolute worst. I spent at least 45 minutes trying to buy a gift. The website keeps erasing any data: addresses, card numbers and you have to keep inputting the same information. Sooooo very frustrating. Sad because i wanted to send a lovely gift. Now, i am mad and over it. A fun experience to send a friend a gift turned into a frustrated buyer, I'm even taking time to write this review, I'm so upset. I wouldn't even trust it would get to the right person. And yes i did "chat with help AI Ulta help" ;(

I mad e appt 1st time in. They canceled. I tried calling next day& they're fused to get me in. I wont be back .and ill shop at Beautylish!! & Sophora. I am a business owner myself. So I know I wouldn't treat my customers Like.this!! I understand things happen. Yes. But canceling my appt. Last second w no explanation & a refusal. Is just a bit too lame. So I had to write the review. I would of accommodated my.client. at any cost.

On May 7, 2026 I had a hair appointment at 1:30 PM at the new Ulta in Moline Illinois. I have been receiving texts for two weeks to confirm my appointment including the day of the appointment. I arrived and the girl who was supposed to do my hair quit, there was no one there that could do my hair. I asked for the manager, and she did not care. I will not go into that store again, and I am gonna post it on Facebook and other social media.

Made appointment for a hair cut 10 days ahead for Wednesday 5/6Got a reminder asking to confirm which I did by sending a C @ 9:30 am 5/3. Ms. Aurelia called me leaving message that unfortunately I won’t be in town but I can get someone to see you on Thursday May 7 at 10:15. I made arrangements to do my hair as I made appointment and got confirmation. Looks like she doesn’t have respect for customers time. Even though she was not very good at the hair cutting, I wanted to give her another chance but with this kind of service, by not honoring the set appointment, I will never go there again. It looks like couple of rookies just out of haircutting school, with no social skills run Ultas salon!

Sales associates ignore you when you come in and counter people are rude. Someone needs to work on customer service. But, I think that was my last time going in. So no matter.

After making a haircut appt and arriving on time I was informed the stylist didnt work on short hair. ( my hair is to the bottom of my neck) No where on the appt app did it mention that. Complete waste of time! Needless to say, I will be sharing my bad experience with family and friends. Location was at the San Ysidro Outlets mall

Yet ANOTHER horrible experience with Ulta.com shipping! Inadequate packaging, no wrapping at all of expensive eyeshadow palette shoved in a box with hairspray bottles. Crushed eyeshadow, a waste of time and money for me. Another return hassle I don’t need. Ridiculous. Common sense evades this company.

Worst experience ever in store and online . A cashier returned my item I ordered online with a receipt as a non receipt return . And the manager couldn’t undo what she done . I was there for a hour and half with my 2 year old ( imagine how that was ) and the issue wasn’t resolved manager said online will send me a gift card for the amount . Week and half later didn’t receive email they said it was denied. I had to explain what happen again and they told me to go into store and next day went to another manager who said on the phone a day before she can get it resolved. Waste of time because she couldn’t even help as well . Online open case again and when I received my gift card for the cashier error she did my ULTA online account was closed so I can’t order online no more . Reached out to a supervisor online and they told me it was because I open a case for the gift card ( which didn’t make sense it was my money that wasn’t returned). And I can only shop in stores for now on. I will never shop with Ulta Ever Again. And I also had an issue 2 years ago with missing items from order.

I had an experience of being abused by a manager at the ulta store off capital blvd. On poyner place in raleigh nc. She was abusive, angry, unreasonable, and attempted to embarrass me in front of other customers. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. In the parking lot afterwords, a woman asked if I was ok and we agreed we would not shop at ulta anymore after that. I attempted to contact the district manager, since it was the manager being abusive, and got obfuscation by an Indian call center. I was never given access to make a productive complaint that might address damage being done by this woman. I can buy everything I have ever bought from Ulta directly online and will do so from now on, as will anyone who cares to listen, no doubt. It’s a shame they are so bad at customer service, even as their stock is falling.

I have had nothing but trouble with Ulta Beauty and especially the online customer service. Tonight I called because I have been wanting to make a purchase on the app and every time I try, it gives me an error message no matter the way I try and pay. I called customer service and absolutely no help. I tried going in the store today but only one person working the checkout and huge line so had to leave. Salon prices are extremely pricey. I wish they actually cared about taking care of their customers.

I have been a customer 15+ years. I recently placed an order for cologne set and perfume. I used $120+ in points and the rest on my card. The package was opened and label was torn and had to be reprinted, label clearly states that as well as tracking. When I received the perfume was gone and one cologne was taken from the set. I reached out to ulta and was told the shipment weight was correct when it left and they couldn’t help. I wasn’t disputing that, clearly after it left it was opened and items were taken and the label was reprinted. I’ve spoken to multiple people and don’t get a response or they just say they can’t help. They just stopped responding on Facebook messenger after being told "thank you for your understanding" I will never order from ulta again.

El día de ayer fui a la tienda que queda en la 6775 Eagle Watch Dr, Orlando, me trataron muy mal, fui a comprar un perfume entonces pregunté que donde estaba y me señalaron la vitrina el mismo producto decía tener un regalo por su compra a lo cual pregunté cuál era el regalo me dijeron no sé en la caja saben , me acerqué a pagar y le pregunté a la señorita la cual me dijo que no sabía le pregunto a la compañera de alado y ella le dijo cuál era el regalo , no pidió que la esperara , nada se puso a buscar en las estanterías que tienen detrás de las cajas , estaba molesta , decía yo no encuentro , se acercó y me dijo el valor que tenía que pagar , y le pregunto y el regalo me respondió de manera muy mal educada que no encontraba y yo le dije que en este caso que se puede hacer y de manera burlona me dijo nada , no hay , le dije que quería hablar con la manager , la llamo , está de acercó , ni me saludó , me quedé con el saludo en los labios ni me miró , no me preguntó qué pasó , nada , buscó en las mismas estanterías y encontró , se lo dio a la cajera y ya !!! Pésima atención , tengo la tarjeta desde hace tiempo y no me dijo de mis rewards 🥹

I booked my appt for full highlights at 10:15 and i waited for 30 mins. i took from Elite level to get better results. Price was showing while online booking $177z I was told it might require extra time so for extra 30 mins beyond 3 hrs it would charged extra 65$. it took 3 hr 15 mins. I was charge extra for all 30 mins 65$ in 3 hrs so i was forced to pay 6 time 65 which is $390$ instead $177. she said i got major transformation package but i dont see my highlights at all forget about major.

I had a minor shaping cut done, left with wet hair to air dry (took about 10 minutes to cut, a curly cut was done) and when I called back 10 days later to ask for additional tweaking as the cut wasn’t tapered enough (as requested), was told I’d have to pay in full again as there’s only 7 days allowed for adjustments. I wasn’t told of the 7 day policy and wash my hair weekly so wasted my money including the generous $45 tip I left. Customers should be informed of that policy and from a customer relations perspective, an exception should have been made. Surely won’t shop there for any reason again.
